[2023/05/06 12:03] Almut Brunswick: Ha! Yes. it is already the Tenth meeting
[2023/05/06 12:03] Jerry McNally: Do you think we'll have some more attendees?
[2023/05/06 12:04] Almut Brunswick: Corrected
[2023/05/06 12:04] Jerry McNally: Anyone from SC?
[2023/05/06 12:04] Almut Brunswick: Hmm no idea
[2023/05/06 12:04] Almut Brunswick: Maybe they all watch the coronation specials :D
[2023/05/06 12:04] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Oh? Isn't that over by now?
[2023/05/06 12:04] Jerry McNally: /me groans
[2023/05/06 12:04] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Moon, turn on the TV!!
[2023/05/06 12:04] Tor Karlsvalt: lol
[2023/05/06 12:05] Almut Brunswick: It is, but now all the experts will be asked in features and talkshow what they have detected :D
[2023/05/06 12:05] Tor Karlsvalt: I got the highlights
[2023/05/06 12:05] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2023/05/06 12:05] Sandy Burgess: I am so glad I don't have a tv ... except for people mentioning it in SL I had no contact so far
[2023/05/06 12:05] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Oh ok, and discuss the hairstyles & clothing
[2023/05/06 12:05] Jerry McNally: I enjoyed the music though, Parry especcially
[2023/05/06 12:05] Almut Brunswick: Grandpa Biden was not there! But his wife and granddaugther.
[2023/05/06 12:05] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Pfft Sandy — it's being streamed for free on YouTube and elsewhere .)
[2023/05/06 12:05] Rosie Gray: it's all over our media of course
[2023/05/06 12:06] Moon Adamant: i always like these things, specially the horses and music
[2023/05/06 12:06] Sandy Burgess: But Youtube can be avoided
[2023/05/06 12:06] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Rosie: it's YOUR head of state after all
[2023/05/06 12:06] Rosie Gray: indeed
[2023/05/06 12:06] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Sandy: agreed :)
[2023/05/06 12:06] Rosie Gray: and that's mostly what is being discussed!
[2023/05/06 12:06] Tor Karlsvalt: kinda surprised I haven't seen coronation parties
[2023/05/06 12:06] Almut Brunswick: Yes, Charles will visit Rosie soon
[2023/05/06 12:06] Gwyneth Llewelyn: there might be some, Tor :)
[2023/05/06 12:06] Rosie Gray: oh yes, I've already got a nice cup of tea planned for our visit
[2023/05/06 12:07] Jerry McNally: even here in England his reception has been ... patchy
[2023/05/06 12:07] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2023/05/06 12:07] Tor Karlsvalt: and scones
[2023/05/06 12:07] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me wonders if LL will create a special "monarch" avatar if Charles logs in to SL
[2023/05/06 12:07] Almut Brunswick: My daughter celebrated one... well, in fact, they all are eventually Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha :D
[2023/05/06 12:07] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2023/05/06 12:07] Rosie Gray: yes, made with flour from organic mills
[2023/05/06 12:07] Gwyneth Llewelyn: like, with a floating crown :)
[2023/05/06 12:07] Sandy Burgess: Perhaps thats what will be Charles' accomplishment: making royalty so unpopular that they finally abolish it
[2023/05/06 12:07] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Almut: exactly :) They're all Germans
[2023/05/06 12:07] Rosie Gray: I actually kind of like him
[2023/05/06 12:07] Tor Karlsvalt: Remember we had an RA member who has King outfit.
[2023/05/06 12:07] Moon Adamant: me too Rosie
[2023/05/06 12:08] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Naah Sandy don't count on that
[2023/05/06 12:08] Rosie Gray: even if I don't believe in monarchy
[2023/05/06 12:08] Tor Karlsvalt: Forgot his name
[2023/05/06 12:08] Moon Adamant: AND he was right abou the environment decades ago
[2023/05/06 12:08] Rosie Gray: yes!
[2023/05/06 12:08] Almut Brunswick: Ok folks, back to our democratic business :D
[2023/05/06 12:08] Gwyneth Llewelyn: lol
[2023/05/06 12:08] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2023/05/06 12:08] Rosie Gray: bang the gavel, Almut!
[2023/05/06 12:08] Moon Adamant: sure ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:08] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Kendra was right: we ought to have an Empress of Neufreistadt :)
[2023/05/06 12:08] Almut Brunswick: Otherwise we declare Kyoko to our divine empress! :D
[2023/05/06 12:08] Tor Karlsvalt: we did
[2023/05/06 12:08] Rosie Gray: we do, and her name is Sudane
[2023/05/06 12:08] Gwyneth Llewelyn: pfft never properly crowned
[2023/05/06 12:09] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:09] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Almut: I'm all for that :)
[2023/05/06 12:09] Tor Karlsvalt: Kendra, Kaisarin von Neualtenburg.
[2023/05/06 12:09] Rosie Gray: /me bangs the gavel
[2023/05/06 12:09] Tor Karlsvalt: Well recognized in Caledon.
[2023/05/06 12:09] Tor Karlsvalt: /me slinks under the bench.
[2023/05/06 12:09] Almut Brunswick: how to mesh a guilloutine? :D
[2023/05/06 12:10] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Hmm :) I don't know, but I hope you slice it right ;)

[2023/05/06 12:13] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me didn't catch Almut's vote in chat ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:13] Almut Brunswick: I took it from the Forum, hence the truncated link
[2023/05/06 12:13] Gwyneth Llewelyn: All right, I had read the minutes as well, so, after correcting my previous comment to apply it to the minutes and not the agenda (sheesh...), I move to approve the minutes
[2023/05/06 12:13] Almut Brunswick: /me opens the NC....
[2023/05/06 12:14] Almut Brunswick: second

[2023/05/06 12:14] Almut Brunswick: Madame Chancellor, the stage is yours
[2023/05/06 12:14] Moon Adamant: thank you ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:15] Moon Adamant: Ok, so the last 15 days
[2023/05/06 12:15] Moon Adamant: We opened the Bellisserian Embassy at the CDS
[2023/05/06 12:15] Moon Adamant: Passport emission is going on, don't forget to get yours ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:15] Gwyneth Llewelyn: \o/
[2023/05/06 12:16] Moon Adamant: Thanks again to our Ambassador, Sandy, who made this all happen :-))
[2023/05/06 12:16] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Thanks indeed, Sandy!
[2023/05/06 12:17] Moon Adamant: Due to the importance of this initiative, we were featured several time son the news, and we do have increased visitors
[2023/05/06 12:17] Moon Adamant: also new citizens
[2023/05/06 12:17] Moon Adamant: so let's carry on :_)
[2023/05/06 12:18] Moon Adamant: Then, we celebrated May Day @ CDS
[2023/05/06 12:19] Moon Adamant: traditional celebration -- we thank the CSDF for co-organizing it with us ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:19] Moon Adamant: And on Thursday we had our second Point of Hearing with Joaquin Gustav, plus events like Thinkers and Swingin' CDS which have a shorter period
[2023/05/06 12:20] Almut Brunswick: and the not existing working class!
[2023/05/06 12:20] Moon Adamant: We have submitte dthe SL20B application form
[2023/05/06 12:20] Moon Adamant: the deadline is the 14th May... a few days after, hopefully, we should know if we were attributed a placement in the SL20B regions
[2023/05/06 12:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: (at long last! thanks to the Celebration Committee!)
[2023/05/06 12:21] Moon Adamant: Thanks to Tor and his experience on that!
[2023/05/06 12:21] Moon Adamant: Next Celeb Group meeting is tomorrow, 9.30 am SLT
[2023/05/06 12:21] Moon Adamant: sorry, reading my notes here
[2023/05/06 12:22] Moon Adamant: i have made an application of teh CDS for the SL20B short-motion
[2023/05/06 12:22] Moon Adamant: which will be filmed at teh ened of teh month
[2023/05/06 12:23] Moon Adamant: I think there is a good chance that we will survive the cutting room ㋡ but of course, not guaranteed
[2023/05/06 12:23] Jerry McNally: /me crosses his fingers
[2023/05/06 12:23] Moon Adamant: i propose that the filming films this RA in session on a fortnight from today
[2023/05/06 12:24] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me makes a note to wear makeup
[2023/05/06 12:24] Moon Adamant: as the topic of my application was the CDS as THE Democratic Community in SL
[2023/05/06 12:24] Almut Brunswick: so wash your necks and comb
[2023/05/06 12:24] Moon Adamant: lol
[2023/05/06 12:24] Sandy Burgess: Then we should get something interesting on the agenda
[2023/05/06 12:24] Moon Adamant: available for questions on this, but
[2023/05/06 12:24] Moon Adamant: just let me wrap up the Exec report
[2023/05/06 12:25] Moon Adamant: as you know, my term finishes in little over 3 weeks
[2023/05/06 12:25] Gwyneth Llewelyn: aww
[2023/05/06 12:25] Jerry McNally: time flies!
[2023/05/06 12:25] Moon Adamant: currently, I am trying to wrap up stuff
[2023/05/06 12:25] Moon Adamant: the remaining actions are:
[2023/05/06 12:26] Moon Adamant: Events: Gov Hours May, Residency Concert, Inauguration Ball
[2023/05/06 12:26] Moon Adamant: I am also going to provide for PoH with Joaquin, as it falls on the 1st June
[2023/05/06 12:27] Moon Adamant: Then, I still want to pursue an action about land sales
[2023/05/06 12:27] Moon Adamant: and i am preparing the Colonia Nova Map for discussion till the next LUC
[2023/05/06 12:28] Moon Adamant: and other things, but rather smaller
[2023/05/06 12:28] Moon Adamant: so, congrats to our Chancellor-Elect, Tor ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:28] Moon Adamant: done ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:29] Jerry McNally: /me raises a hand
[2023/05/06 12:29] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Moon. Jerry please!
[2023/05/06 12:29] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me thanks the Chancellor
[2023/05/06 12:29] Moon Adamant: /me listens to Jerry
[2023/05/06 12:30] Jerry McNally: Thanks. Just two quick things = apart from wanting to point out just how much Moon has achieved this term
[2023/05/06 12:31] Jerry McNally: one, an addition to the outstanding items might be the refresh of the CDS website. I'm helping Mizou with this and should have finished before the end of term, and two
[2023/05/06 12:31] Jerry McNally: can I just check about the Colonia Nova Map - would this include the new design for the theatre? I'm not sure if I'm up-to-date with that.
[2023/05/06 12:31] Jerry McNally: done
[2023/05/06 12:31] Moon Adamant: uh
[2023/05/06 12:32] Moon Adamant: well, thanks first of all!~And yes, work on the website is going on ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:32] Moon Adamant: as for teh CN Map, it wasn't going to address the Theatre, as that was approved earlier on
[2023/05/06 12:33] Jerry McNally: /me clarifies he meant amphitheatre, and was trying to ask when it might be done?
[2023/05/06 12:34] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:34] Moon Adamant: the focus of the map will be three interventions which need to be mapped for revision and approval: redoing of the prim parcels as an extension to Stella Marina; redoing of the parcels C12 and C13; and a study for the Garden of peace that preserves a bit the garden but sends part of its area into the private realm
[2023/05/06 12:35] Moon Adamant: oh, after the term is over,. I'll have time for teh Theatre, it's simple :-D
[2023/05/06 12:36] Moon Adamant: it's a bit hard to preview time when working in Blender, i should say during the summer
[2023/05/06 12:36] Almut Brunswick: Any further questions?
[2023/05/06 12:37] Jerry McNally: me again
[2023/05/06 12:37] Almut Brunswick: Ok go on
[2023/05/06 12:37] Moon Adamant: /me listens
[2023/05/06 12:37] Jerry McNally: Any update on the new neighbour, Amiais@SL, and the connecting water?
[2023/05/06 12:38] Almut Brunswick: Ah, good point! I was about to ask the same
[2023/05/06 12:38] Moon Adamant: no, none yet :-/
[2023/05/06 12:38] Moon Adamant: still everything in LL side
[2023/05/06 12:38] Jerry McNally: we'll make a note to hassle the next Chancellor then ;)
[2023/05/06 12:38] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me can only wonder if there *is* anyone working at the Lab
[2023/05/06 12:39] Moon Adamant: sure :-D
[2023/05/06 12:39] Almut Brunswick: At least it is not our fault when they make progresses
[2023/05/06 12:39] Almut Brunswick: they DON'T make progresses*
[2023/05/06 12:39] Rosie Gray: sheesh
[2023/05/06 12:39] Sandy Burgess: /me snortchuckles. Yes both
[2023/05/06 12:39] Jerry McNally: no more questions from me, thanks
[2023/05/06 12:40] Almut Brunswick: Sandy, I also thought it was a Freudian mis-expression
[2023/05/06 12:40] Almut Brunswick: Any further questions?
[2023/05/06 12:41] Almut Brunswick: If not, we could continue to 3 Land-Use Commission Report (Sandy)
[2023/05/06 12:41] Moon Adamant: /me sits down, thnak you for your attention
[2023/05/06 12:41] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Moon
[2023/05/06 12:43] Sandy Burgess: We had a short meeting last week. We briefly discussed the three topics:
CDS transport
signage
Covenants
All three things are being worked on but no major results can yet be reported.
So nothing news really
[2023/05/06 12:44] Almut Brunswick: Regarding the CDS Transport: How is the status here?
[2023/05/06 12:45] Sandy Burgess: No further than on our last meeting. I had a RL exam and have not worked any further.
[2023/05/06 12:45] Almut Brunswick: Ah I see
[2023/05/06 12:45] Almut Brunswick: Any other questions to Sandy?
[2023/05/06 12:45] Gwyneth Llewelyn: ... silence... lol
[2023/05/06 12:45] Almut Brunswick: That does not seem to be the case, so let's continue
[2023/05/06 12:46] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Right!
[2023/05/06 12:46] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:46] Almut Brunswick: 4 Old Business
4.1 Proposed change to NL 7-1 Government Question Time Act
* The LRA proposes to vote for the change presented by Jerry McNally in the Forum: https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=10354
[2023/05/06 12:46] Jerry McNally: This was just in response to the debate last meeting, a bit of tidying up
[2023/05/06 12:46] Almut Brunswick: Yes, I know
[2023/05/06 12:46] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me *nods*
[2023/05/06 12:46] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me has a question...
[2023/05/06 12:47] Almut Brunswick: therefore, I regarded as a good idea to ratify it with a vote
[2023/05/06 12:47] Almut Brunswick: Gwyn please
[2023/05/06 12:47] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Just to make sure, who has currently access to the Q&A Forum?
[2023/05/06 12:47] Moon Adamant: I do
[2023/05/06 12:47] Gwyneth Llewelyn: .... it's just that the doubts were raised because only the Chancellor has access to the Executive forum,
[2023/05/06 12:48] Gwyneth Llewelyn: thus, the other Q&A chairs would need to send the transcript to the Chancellor
[2023/05/06 12:48] Gwyneth Llewelyn: and therefore the ambiguity :)
[2023/05/06 12:48] Almut Brunswick: Right
[2023/05/06 12:48] Gwyneth Llewelyn: We don't want to repeat that again
[2023/05/06 12:48] Moon Adamant: not sure if i am the only one with access, mind
[2023/05/06 12:48] Gwyneth Llewelyn: with the Q&A Forum
[2023/05/06 12:48] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me *nods* @ Moon
[2023/05/06 12:48] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Thanks! Done
[2023/05/06 12:49] Jerry McNally: sure the chairs of the other branches have access to the Q&A forum, and if they don't they should
[2023/05/06 12:49] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Well, if that's not clear...
[2023/05/06 12:49] Gwyneth Llewelyn: ... we'll have the same issue in a few weeks :)
[2023/05/06 12:49] Almut Brunswick: And then this change in the act would make sense - but only when this precondition is fulfilled.
[2023/05/06 12:50] Gwyneth Llewelyn: That's it
[2023/05/06 12:50] Sandy Burgess: Is it difficult to open the access to the people who need it?
[2023/05/06 12:50] Gwyneth Llewelyn: No no
[2023/05/06 12:50] Jerry McNally: which is why I had asked if we were expecting any SC members to be here today
[2023/05/06 12:50] Gwyneth Llewelyn: It's VERY easy
[2023/05/06 12:50] Gwyneth Llewelyn: aha Jwerry
[2023/05/06 12:50] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Ok! you're rght
[2023/05/06 12:50] Moon Adamant: oh good thinking Jerry ㋡
[2023/05/06 12:50] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Sandy: the 'difficulty' is only one: it's the SC which manages the forums,
[2023/05/06 12:50] Almut Brunswick: I doubt the SC would be against having access to the Q&A forum
[2023/05/06 12:50] Sandy Burgess: Ah ... that explains a few comments today
[2023/05/06 12:51] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me *nods*
[2023/05/06 12:51] Gwyneth Llewelyn: The RA can just request the SC to do X or Y with the forums
[2023/05/06 12:51] Gwyneth Llewelyn: But they're allowed to refuse, of course :)
[2023/05/06 12:51] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Ok... let me suggest something
[2023/05/06 12:52] Jerry McNally: in that case, they should be the ones to administer the notes from the Q&A hours events
[2023/05/06 12:52] Almut Brunswick: Well... then let's summarize it this way: We would like to change the act according to how Jerry has summarized it, but we need to discuss this with the SC if and how other meeting chairs can have access to the Q&A part
[2023/05/06 12:52] Gwyneth Llewelyn: heh! maybe :)
[2023/05/06 12:52] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Well, I have an evil plan... a tiny amendment to Jerry's proposal...
[2023/05/06 12:52] Almut Brunswick: /me runs for cover
[2023/05/06 12:52] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Instead of just: "These summaries will be posted in the Q&A Forum within seven (7) days."
[2023/05/06 12:53] Gwyneth Llewelyn: (lol)
[2023/05/06 12:53] Sandy Burgess: /me grins: Seems reasonable and standard procedure to move work to somebody else's desk
[2023/05/06 12:53] Rosie Gray: lol, Sandy
[2023/05/06 12:53] Gwyneth Llewelyn: We could add "in the Q&A Forum or any forum suited to the purpose, to which all chairs have access, within seven (7) days"
[2023/05/06 12:53] Gwyneth Llewelyn: or words to the effect
[2023/05/06 12:54] Gwyneth Llewelyn: (done)
[2023/05/06 12:54] Almut Brunswick: But again: That needs to be clarified with the SC as the admins
[2023/05/06 12:54] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Hmm.
[2023/05/06 12:54] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Aye, you're right.
[2023/05/06 12:54] Jerry McNally: Not sure, to be honest I like the clarity of the Q&A hours notes going into the Q&A forum
[2023/05/06 12:54] Jerry McNally: why complicate/muddle the matter?
[2023/05/06 12:54] Gwyneth Llewelyn: aye, but imagine that the SC decides to remove the forum :)
[2023/05/06 12:55] Gwyneth Llewelyn: (they can, you know)
[2023/05/06 12:55] Rosie Gray: I agree with Jerry about that
[2023/05/06 12:55] Sandy Burgess: I agree with Jerry - they should not be all over the place
[2023/05/06 12:55] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Oh! I totally agree with Jerry, mind you!
[2023/05/06 12:56] Jerry McNally: My proposal was in response to a real problem last RA meeting - there's no need to invent another problem
[2023/05/06 12:56] Almut Brunswick: I think we are talking about two tasks: 1. writing the minutes by the respective chair of the meeting, and 2. posting it in the Q&A forum.
[2023/05/06 12:56] Gwyneth Llewelyn: I know, Jerry
[2023/05/06 12:56] Sandy Burgess: Wouldn't removing that forum be against the law? ... since it is necessary to fulfill the law
[2023/05/06 12:56] Almut Brunswick: Good point.
[2023/05/06 12:56] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Aye, that's a good point.
[2023/05/06 12:56] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Okay. I withdraw my suggestion :)
[2023/05/06 12:57] Jerry McNally: I see Almut's first task as complete by a better reading of the existing law, and the second point is dealt with by the proposed amendment
[2023/05/06 12:57] Gwyneth Llewelyn: or: we can add a preamble to the law, saying that "the RA presumes that the Q&A forum exists and the chairs are given due access to it every term"
[2023/05/06 12:58] Gwyneth Llewelyn: or a clarification on the minutes
[2023/05/06 12:58] Gwyneth Llewelyn: actually, I think that's even simpler
[2023/05/06 12:58] Almut Brunswick: Before breaking our heads again without the SC, let's reach out to them and confront them with the question raised up.
[2023/05/06 12:59] Gwyneth Llewelyn: All right, I second Jerry's proposal, with only the suggestion that it is made clear in the minutes (and only there) that the RA expects the SC to maintain the Q&A Forum operational to comply duly with this law.
[2023/05/06 12:59] Almut Brunswick: Yes!
[2023/05/06 12:59] Gwyneth Llewelyn: And that should be enough, I think, people can look it up on the forums
[2023/05/06 12:59] Almut Brunswick: I agree
[2023/05/06 12:59] Gwyneth Llewelyn: if they have any doubts about what the RA intended :)
[2023/05/06 12:59] Gwyneth Llewelyn: and we would NOT be 'overstepping' the SC
[2023/05/06 13:00] Gwyneth Llewelyn: if the SC disagrees, they can post the notes themselves (shifting the burden to *them* hehe)
[2023/05/06 13:01] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me totally agrees with Sandy's view to shift work to others
[2023/05/06 13:01] Almut Brunswick: Nods. Jerry will put it in proper words what we suggest, so we can molest the SC with it.
[2023/05/06 13:01] Gwyneth Llewelyn: 'molest' mmmh
[2023/05/06 13:01] Gwyneth Llewelyn: lol
[2023/05/06 13:01] Gwyneth Llewelyn: okay.
[2023/05/06 13:01] Sandy Burgess: They might read the transcript and smell our intent
[2023/05/06 13:01] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[2023/05/06 13:01] Gwyneth Llewelyn: No! Isn't the transcript held in secrecy? :)
[2023/05/06 13:02] Almut Brunswick: That is exactly the idea behind
[2023/05/06 13:02] Jerry McNally: So, is there a motion to vote on here?
[2023/05/06 13:02] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Anyway :)
[2023/05/06 13:02] Gwyneth Llewelyn: ... I thought there was?
[2023/05/06 13:03] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me seconded a non-existing motion by mistake
[2023/05/06 13:03] Gwyneth Llewelyn: sorry!
[2023/05/06 13:03] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2023/05/06 13:03] Sandy Burgess: Someone used the word motion but not sure if that was intended
[2023/05/06 13:03] Almut Brunswick: I don't think that the originally proposed vote is appropriate before having talked with the SC
[2023/05/06 13:04] Almut Brunswick: So we should table it and reach out to the SC
[2023/05/06 13:04] Sandy Burgess: So we have a motion and a second ... I "aye"
[2023/05/06 13:04] Rosie Gray: what was the motion?
[2023/05/06 13:04] Rosie Gray: I've lost it
[2023/05/06 13:04] Almut Brunswick: Nods, what was the motion ?
[2023/05/06 13:04] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Motion to approve Jerry's proposal as it stands on the forums
[2023/05/06 13:04] Rosie Gray: ah
[2023/05/06 13:04] Jerry McNally: teh amendment was posted within the 7 day deadline - they've had time to review it
[2023/05/06 13:04] Rosie Gray: thank you
[2023/05/06 13:05] Gwyneth Llewelyn: excellent point, Jerry :)))
[2023/05/06 13:05] Almut Brunswick: Ok, THEN let's vote :D
[2023/05/06 13:05] Rosie Gray: I don't see why we can't vote on it
[2023/05/06 13:05] Gwyneth Llewelyn: goodie :) aye from me
[2023/05/06 13:05] Almut Brunswick: Aye
[2023/05/06 13:05] Rosie Gray: aye
[2023/05/06 13:05] Jerry McNally: Aye
[2023/05/06 13:05] Gwyneth Llewelyn: (we had an "early aye" from Sandy)
[2023/05/06 13:06] Almut Brunswick: Gwyn has said "aye" several times, so we will use one of them now :D
[2023/05/06 13:06] Sandy Burgess: /me grins and ayes again
[2023/05/06 13:06] Gwyneth Llewelyn: heheheheh
[2023/05/06 13:06] Rosie Gray: :D
[2023/05/06 13:06] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me looks in her bag to see if she has more "ayes" packed in it
[2023/05/06 13:06] Jerry McNally: Just to be pedantic, who seconded Gwyneth;s motion at 13:04?
[2023/05/06 13:07] Gwyneth Llewelyn: lol
[2023/05/06 13:07] Rosie Gray: it wasn't me
[2023/05/06 13:07] Gwyneth Llewelyn: I pre-seconded my own motion!
[2023/05/06 13:07] Jerry McNally: quite
[2023/05/06 13:07] Gwyneth Llewelyn: And voted for Sandy, too
[2023/05/06 13:07] Almut Brunswick: [12:59] Gwyneth Llewelyn: All right, I second Jerry's proposal,
[2023/05/06 13:08] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Aye, you're both right. I should have said "I second the motion to vote on Jerry's proposal" assuming such motion existed at the time, which I now realise there wasn't
[2023/05/06 13:08] Gwyneth Llewelyn: :)
[2023/05/06 13:08] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me is laughing iRL
[2023/05/06 13:08] Jerry McNally: Ok thanks - it's a good job they're not filming *this* RA...
[2023/05/06 13:08] Moon Adamant: /me looks for the TARDIS machine
[2023/05/06 13:09] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Jerry, GOOD POINT!!!!!!
[2023/05/06 13:09] Rosie Gray: indeed
[2023/05/06 13:09] Rosie Gray: okay well I will second the motion
[2023/05/06 13:09] Rosie Gray: for the record ㋡
[2023/05/06 13:09] Almut Brunswick: It is worse than the British House of Commons :D
[2023/05/06 13:09] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Madam LRA, can we start from scratch!
[2023/05/06 13:09] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Almut: at least they can complain to their King :)
[2023/05/06 13:09] Tor Karlsvalt: /me thinks he saw a motion scurry around the corner.
[2023/05/06 13:09] Moon Adamant: :-D
[2023/05/06 13:09] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me catches a motion
[2023/05/06 13:10] Almut Brunswick: Sure, for the records: Take 2: Motion to vote for the change presented by Jerry McNally in the Forum: https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=10354
[2023/05/06 13:10] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Good! Rosie has seconded it already.
[2023/05/06 13:10] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Again, pre-seconded :)
[2023/05/06 13:10] Gwyneth Llewelyn: So I post-second :)
[2023/05/06 13:10] Moon Adamant: just third it ㋡
[2023/05/06 13:10] Rosie Gray: /me is glad she isn't writing up these minutes
[2023/05/06 13:10] Almut Brunswick: No futher need to discuss? Then let's vote
[2023/05/06 13:10] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Works for me :)
[2023/05/06 13:10] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Aye
[2023/05/06 13:10] Rosie Gray: aye
[2023/05/06 13:10] Almut Brunswick: Aye
[2023/05/06 13:11] Jerry McNally: /me was thinking the same Rosie
[2023/05/06 13:11] Jerry McNally: aye
[2023/05/06 13:11] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me thinks that these minutes will have far too many seconds
[2023/05/06 13:11] Sandy Burgess: aye
[2023/05/06 13:11] Almut Brunswick: /me recognizes a paper bag of used "seconds" under Gwyn's seat
[2023/05/06 13:11] Gwyneth Llewelyn: lol aye I have lots of those :)))
[2023/05/06 13:11] Jerry McNally: I'm going to get ChatGPT to write the minutes this time, I think
[2023/05/06 13:12] Gwyneth Llewelyn: cushions are overrated
[2023/05/06 13:12] Gwyneth Llewelyn: lol Jerry!
[2023/05/06 13:12] Tor Karlsvalt: /me laughs out laud at seconds in minutes.
[2023/05/06 13:12] Almut Brunswick: and "nays" sticked with used chewing gums underneath the seat
[2023/05/06 13:12] Sandy Burgess: /me collects a few seconds, puts them in her clock and enjoys the extra time
[2023/05/06 13:12] Gwyneth Llewelyn: (you took your time, Tor...)
[2023/05/06 13:12] Moon Adamant: LOL
[2023/05/06 13:12] Tor Karlsvalt: My mouth is full of pizza
[2023/05/06 13:12] Almut Brunswick: So when any clarities are dissolved now, let's continue
[2023/05/06 13:13] Rosie Gray: please!
[2023/05/06 13:13] Almut Brunswick: 5 Citizen Concerns
[2023/05/06 13:13] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Good, this year we won't need to add or subtract another leap second :)
[2023/05/06 13:13] Tor Karlsvalt: /re relieved
[2023/05/06 13:13] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me shuts up — sorry
[2023/05/06 13:13] Almut Brunswick: The relative lack of citizens attending saves us their concerns
[2023/05/06 13:13] Gwyneth Llewelyn: There is one, I thinl
[2023/05/06 13:13] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2023/05/06 13:13] Gwyneth Llewelyn: *think
[2023/05/06 13:14] Moon Adamant: /me looks around
[2023/05/06 13:14] Rosie Gray: /me throws something at the representative citizen
[2023/05/06 13:14] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Ah, 'relative' lack, not absolute lack.
[2023/05/06 13:14] Almut Brunswick: A public worker...that doesn't count!
[2023/05/06 13:14] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Oh!
[2023/05/06 13:14] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Good point.
[2023/05/06 13:14] Almut Brunswick: 6 RA Member Concerns
[2023/05/06 13:14] Sandy Burgess: /me looks completely unconcerned
[2023/05/06 13:14] Jerry McNally: I remain, as ever, impatient but unconcerned
[2023/05/06 13:14] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Well, I'm a *bit* concerned about the lack of citizens
[2023/05/06 13:14] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2023/05/06 13:15] Gwyneth Llewelyn: But not concerned enough to raise a concern :)
[2023/05/06 13:15] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me shuts up again
[2023/05/06 13:15] Jerry McNally: :)
[2023/05/06 13:15] Rosie Gray: and I am blissfully unconcerned for the moment
[2023/05/06 13:15] Almut Brunswick: They were at the May Party and secretly plan the establishment of the proletarian dictatorship :D
[2023/05/06 13:15] Sandy Burgess: Actually I am a bit concerned about the lack of participation in the upcoming election ... but except for some encouraging words my letter had no effect
[2023/05/06 13:15] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me *coughs* .... right
[2023/05/06 13:16] Moon Adamant: great letter Sandy!
[2023/05/06 13:16] Gwyneth Llewelyn: (oh yes, thanks for sending it out)
[2023/05/06 13:16] Sandy Burgess: See ... more encouraging words :P
[2023/05/06 13:16] Gwyneth Llewelyn: :-(
[2023/05/06 13:16] Jerry McNally: "preaching to the converted"
[2023/05/06 13:16] Rosie Gray: it's been a perennial issue, unfortunately
[2023/05/06 13:16] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me sends a few encouraging smileys too: :-) :-) :-)
[2023/05/06 13:16] Moon Adamant: :-D
[2023/05/06 13:16] Almut Brunswick: Yes, and also some other voices (who don't run for any office...) wrote some pleas
[2023/05/06 13:17] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me *nods*
[2023/05/06 13:17] Almut Brunswick: We cannot compete with Frank's Brainless Jazz Club :D
[2023/05/06 13:17] Rosie Gray: Em did, but she has done her bit in the past
[2023/05/06 13:17] Almut Brunswick: Yes, this is true, Rosie
[2023/05/06 13:17] Gwyneth Llewelyn: that's true :)
[2023/05/06 13:18] Tor Karlsvalt: I think Frank finally met his end
[2023/05/06 13:18] Almut Brunswick: Really?
[2023/05/06 13:18] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Oh?
[2023/05/06 13:18] Gwyneth Llewelyn: BTW I did _not_ run again for several reasons — such as giving others the chance to run — probably a mistake
[2023/05/06 13:18] Tor Karlsvalt: I think so, or nothing like it was. Owner change, change back and I think poof
[2023/05/06 13:18] Almut Brunswick: And where will all these posh people go now?
[2023/05/06 13:19] Tor Karlsvalt: oh there is a place
[2023/05/06 13:19] Tor Karlsvalt: Can't remember the name
[2023/05/06 13:19] Gwyneth Llewelyn: and is it here?
[2023/05/06 13:19] Moon Adamant: Swingin' CDS, every Tuesday, 6pm SLT ㋡
[2023/05/06 13:19] Almut Brunswick: We could ask Laura
[2023/05/06 13:19] Moon Adamant: at the Rhenus Docks
[2023/05/06 13:19] Moon Adamant: /me wriggles her eyebrows
[2023/05/06 13:19] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Be there, and be square? :-)
[2023/05/06 13:19] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe, I be there.
[2023/05/06 13:20] Almut Brunswick: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. in an endless loop
[2023/05/06 13:20] Gwyneth Llewelyn: No offense meant, Tor ;-)
[2023/05/06 13:20] Tor Karlsvalt: /me <<<<CDS gigolo
[2023/05/06 13:20] Moon Adamant: lol
[2023/05/06 13:20] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Ah, I've always suspected as much!...
[2023/05/06 13:20] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2023/05/06 13:20] Almut Brunswick: "Tor: Navy Officer and Gentleman"
[2023/05/06 13:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Hmm.
[2023/05/06 13:21] Tor Karlsvalt: times are ruff
[2023/05/06 13:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Maybe :)
[2023/05/06 13:21] Almut Brunswick: Maybe some words about the video taking next meeting
[2023/05/06 13:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: anyway, I guess we can move on?
[2023/05/06 13:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Aye good
[2023/05/06 13:21] Moon Adamant: sure ㋡
[2023/05/06 13:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Meaning: we must behave?
[2023/05/06 13:21] Almut Brunswick: Firstly, we need to agree on a date
[2023/05/06 13:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: okay
[2023/05/06 13:21] Rosie Gray: /me watches the vultures in her back yard
[2023/05/06 13:21] Gwyneth Llewelyn: uh oh
[2023/05/06 13:22] Almut Brunswick: Oh, just be yourself and people will think we are a banana republic :D
[2023/05/06 13:22] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me wants bananas
[2023/05/06 13:22] Gwyneth Llewelyn: /me *likes* bananas
[2023/05/06 13:22] Moon Adamant: /me looks at the banana-yellow light in the place
[2023/05/06 13:23] Almut Brunswick: The video maker is a well-known being in SL
[2023/05/06 13:23] Gwyneth Llewelyn: A former CDS citizen, too
[2023/05/06 13:23] Moon Adamant: exactly
[2023/05/06 13:23] Almut Brunswick: (a boastful being, but apparently highly rated)
[2023/05/06 13:23] Gwyneth Llewelyn: And perhaps a future-to-be citizen as well
[2023/05/06 13:23] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Tsk tsk Almut :)
[2023/05/06 13:23] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Shh :)
[2023/05/06 13:24] Moon Adamant: he joined when we had just finished CN
[2023/05/06 13:24] Gwyneth Llewelyn: gosh that was really long ago
[2023/05/06 13:24] Gwyneth Llewelyn: these prims were freshly cut!
[2023/05/06 13:24] Rosie Gray: I wouldn't hold my breath on that one, Gwyn
[2023/05/06 13:24] Gwyneth Llewelyn: ... and the light was not so banana-like
[2023/05/06 13:24] Almut Brunswick: Anyway, I put my personal disliking of him in abeyance, and would like to see us in the SL20B roll as well.
[2023/05/06 13:24] Gwyneth Llewelyn: hehe
[2023/05/06 13:24] Tor Karlsvalt: I think he owned a parcel near the Amphitheater
[2023/05/06 13:25] Almut Brunswick: Big enough for his personal monument... ^^
[2023/05/06 13:25] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Oh sheesh
[2023/05/06 13:25] Sandy Burgess: /me still wonders who they might be talking about
[2023/05/06 13:25] Gwyneth Llewelyn: Oh — Draxtor
[2023/05/06 13:25] Almut Brunswick: So we will provide him a good show, I suppose
[2023/05/06 13:25] Jerry McNally: Here's his first vdeo about CDS from 2007 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W00e1Y00Jz4
[2023/05/06 13:26] Gwyneth Llewelyn: you're excellent as an archivist, Jerry!
[2023/05/06 13:26] Moon Adamant: well, we must understand that we may not make the cutting room
[2023/05/06 13:26] Sandy Burgess: Ah - saw that a few days back. He lives in Munick
[2023/05/06 13:26] Sandy Burgess: Munich
