Post by Agatha Macbeth »

Lilith Ivory: ok I think we can call this meeting to order now
Lilith Ivory: first agenda item: approval of the agenda
Lilith Ivory: are we all fine with it or does one have additions?
Rosie Gray: Motion to accept the agenda as presented
Agatha Macbeth: I'm happy
Lilith Ivory: one question to Sudane before we move on tho
Lilith Ivory: do you have to leave early as the prim count of Monastery gives me sleepless nights again :)
Sudane Erato: ?
Lilith Ivory: when you did a prim count for the estate last time Monastery had only 3 public prims left ....
Rosie Gray: yikes
Lilith Ivory: but after that a lot of prims got rezzed on public land
Sudane Erato: it was very tight... yes... but i havent counted lately
Sudane Erato: oh :(
Lilith Ivory: I would appreciate it if you could do a Monastery prim count again and tell us "all good" or not :)
Sudane Erato: it sounds like not... but I will do that... yes
Lilith Ivory: there are more than 10 prims for additional sticks for the ski trail , two benches and the anywhere door TP,( which I love)
Sudane Erato: on my todo list
Lilith Ivory: thank you :)
Lilith Ivory: I see it as my duty as EM to watch out for those things too as not all others are aware of the prim situation
Mizou Vavoom nods
Sudane Erato: I wish we had a better system :(
Rosie Gray: so I made a motion
Lilith Ivory: I second :)

Agatha Macbeth: Early thaw?
Sudane Erato: climate change
Rosie Gray: oh oh
Lilith Ivory: looks like it lol

Sudane Erato: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Ok aye
Lilith Ivory: but you made it already
Rosie Gray: I have a small request, Agatha
Lilith Ivory: congratulations Agatha
Rosie Gray: if you don't mind
Agatha Macbeth: Mm?
Rosie Gray: well, I really find it useful to have the time stamp on the transcripts
Rosie Gray: for if you have to refer to something from it
Agatha Macbeth: Oh really?
Agatha Macbeth: Ok then
Rosie Gray: yeah, so wondering if you wouldn't mind keeping those on
Agatha Macbeth: I'll do it from here on in
Rosie Gray: thanks a lot ㋡
Agatha Macbeth: Personally I find them annoying, but no worries
Agatha Macbeth: If it helps...
Rosie Gray: sometimes in a two hour meeting if you want to refer to something, it's really helpful
Lilith Ivory: it really helps when reading through looong trnscripts
Agatha Macbeth nods
Rosie Gray: ㋡
Agatha Macbeth: Fair

And so...

Lilith Ivory: ok so ...
Lilith Ivory: Old Business
Paid search listings
Lilith Ivory: sadly we are not done with them yet lol
[09:57] Rosie Gray: I made a few comments on the spreadsheet about them
Lilith Ivory: I looked them up yesterday again and the picutre on the wall behind Les and the website reflect the actual state
Lilith Ivory: right
Agatha Macbeth: (Done)

[09:58] Lilith Ivory: oops I saw your comments but can't find them on the sheet again - grr
[09:58] Rosie Gray: they are just comments because I don't have perms to make suggestions
[09:58] Lilith Ivory: oh I see
[09:58] Rosie Gray: if you click on the speech rectangle beside the share button you can see them
[09:59] Lilith Ivory: this is my VERY FIRST google sheet and I might have set the permissions wrong
[09:59] Rosie Gray: so I was wondering about a couple of the names here
[09:59] Rosie Gray: Falling Water, for instance
[10:00] Lilith Ivory: I agree with Rosie about the names and think we should follow Rosies sugggestions
[10:00] Rosie Gray: why name the waterfall falling water? How is that better than having waterfall as a key word
[10:00] Lilith Ivory: and Mirrormere never made sense to me either
[10:00] Agatha Macbeth: Think that's from LOTR
[10:00] Rosie Gray: yeah, and also when we have named areas in the past, it was a committee decision that reviewed the suggestions
[10:00] Rosie Gray: oh is it?
[10:01] Agatha Macbeth: Think so
[10:01] Agatha Macbeth: Sounds familiar anyway
[10:01] Rosie Gray: well it's a pretty word but has no relevance for us, that I know of
[10:01] Lilith Ivory: last term we left all parcel names because of this commission
[10:02] Rosie Gray: also, if we are naming things, seems like there are two villages that have no names
[10:02] Lilith Ivory: oh?
[10:02] Rosie Gray: yes in LA
[10:02] Agatha Macbeth blinks
[10:02] Rosie Gray: the brown village doesn't have a name
[10:03] Lilith Ivory: Tor gave one of the villages a name when he was chancellor lol
[10:03] Rosie Gray: and on the other side, the first fishing village doesn't have a name
[10:03] Rosie Gray: did he?
[10:03] Lilith Ivory: yes but I forgot lol
[10:03] Rosie Gray: never heard of it
[10:04] Lilith Ivory: what I also would like to see is to put a paid listing at the small placa in the brown village as we have none in LA atm
[10:04] Rosie Gray nods
[10:04] Lilith Ivory: I wonder if Tor used his name in our ads
[10:04] Rosie Gray: let's look
[10:05] Rosie Gray: https://www.casperpanel.com/rentals/k9C ... /available
[10:06] Rosie Gray: oh I see he has put a name Luna Marina in a little box
[10:07] Lilith Ivory: yes
[10:07] Rosie Gray: https://www.casperpanel.com/texture.php ... f84ee2fddf
[10:07] Rosie Gray: so that seems like a done deal then, except nobody knew about it
[10:07] Rosie Gray: lol
[10:08] Lilith Ivory: hehe yes
[10:08] Rosie Gray: it's a nice name
[10:08] Lilith Ivory: I agree
[10:08] Lilith Ivory: and what is the other village without name?
[10:09] Lilith Ivory: (me wonders how to say village without name in italian as she likes the name)+
[10:09] Rosie Gray: the other side of that harbour where it started out as Bags' village concept
[10:09] Rosie Gray: our first 'fishing village'
[10:10] Rosie Gray: at least I don't think it has a name
[10:10] Delia Lake: trying to remember if that had a name before....
[10:10] Lilith Ivory: I think we always called it fishing village but not sure if the last commission found a name
[10:11] Rosie Gray: I think that's how we always referred to it as well
[10:11] Sudane Erato: I'm unclear... which village are you referring to?
[10:11] Rosie Gray: the one on the inner harbour
[10:11] Lilith Ivory: the one where you greek restaurant is
[10:11] Rosie Gray: Bags' concept
[10:11] Sudane Erato: oh!... the original LA village
[10:11] Agatha Macbeth: What is Bags?
[10:12] Mizou Vavoom: Bagheera
[10:12] Lilith Ivory: one of our former chancellors
[10:12] Mizou Vavoom: former residfent
[10:12] Sudane Erato: I remeber that we once called the Limani
[10:12] Agatha Macbeth: Oh!
[10:12] Rosie Gray: sorry, yes Bagheera
[10:12] Agatha Macbeth: Gotcha
[10:12] Sudane Erato: or To Limani
[10:12] Agatha Macbeth: A who not a what
[10:12] Sudane Erato: which is Greek for the port
[10:12] Rosie Gray: did we?
[10:12] Lilith Ivory: I like that name :)
[10:12] Agatha Macbeth: Me too
[10:12] Mizou Vavoom: Sounds nice
[10:12] Rosie Gray: I was going to suggest a Greek name would be nice
[10:12] Sudane Erato: when it was orginally started, yeah... but...
[10:13] Sudane Erato: kind of got forgotten
[10:13] Lilith Ivory: one more sign we need :)
[10:13] Sudane Erato: :)
[10:13] Sudane Erato: well.... really
[10:13] Sudane Erato: the two sides of the harbor are really one village
[10:14] Sudane Erato: they don't need two names... IMHO
[10:14] Rosie Gray: they seem quite different though, in design
[10:14] Lilith Ivory: I agree, we really don't need tow names that never get used anyway :)
[10:15] Lilith Ivory: two districts of one village
[10:15] Rosie Gray: sure
[10:15] Rosie Gray: oh we lost Leslie
[10:15] Agatha Macbeth: Oops
[10:15] Sudane Erato: oh :(
[10:15] Lilith Ivory: I hope he will be back soon
[10:16] Agatha Macbeth: Maybe the weather is bad again
[10:16] Sudane Erato: we lost Lil once and she didn't come back for days... :)
[10:16] Lilith Ivory: aaww yea
[10:16] Agatha Macbeth: Erk
[10:16] Lilith Ivory: but now I am here :)
[10:16] Rosie Gray: let's hope Leslie isn't lost in a black hole too
[10:16] Agatha Macbeth: Yay
[10:16] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:17] Rosie Gray: I just googled Mirrormere, and you are right Agatha, it's from Tolkien
[10:17] Agatha Macbeth: Woot
[10:17] Rosie Gray: In the fiction of J. R. R. Tolkien, Moria, also named Khazad-dûm, is a fabulous and ancient subterranean complex in north-western Middle-earth, comprising a vast labyrinthine network of tunnels, chambers, mines and huge halls. The complex ran under and ultimately through the Misty Mountains
[10:17] Agatha Macbeth: Thought it sounded familiar
[10:17] Lilith Ivory: that does NOT sound like a lake!
[10:17] Rosie Gray: that's where Mirrormere is
[10:17] Rosie Gray: lol, no it doesn't
[10:18] Sudane Erato: Mirrormere is underground?
[10:18] Rosie Gray: apparently so
[10:18] Mizou Vavoom: Could be used as a name for the underground parts of CDS?
[10:18] Agatha Macbeth: Can't actually remember now
[10:19] Agatha Macbeth: The name Kheled-zaram also comes to mind for some reason
[10:19] Lilith Ivory: I move we volunter the LUC as temp naming commission and to write a recomendation to the chancellor to rename mirrormere into Lake Friedsee and falling water into waterfal :)
[10:19] Sudane Erato: second
[10:19] Rosie Gray: wait
[10:19] Agatha Macbeth waits
[10:19] Rosie Gray: we could give the water feature a name
[10:20] Rosie Gray: if it needs a name, it could be something other than waterfall
[10:20] Rosie Gray: don't know if it needs a name though
[10:20] Agatha Macbeth: Something German?
[10:20] Lilith Ivory googlers the names of german waterfalls
[10:21] Agatha Macbeth: That would please Almut :)
[10:21] Delia Lake: both lakes need names
[10:21] Lilith Ivory: https://www.voucherwonderland.com/reise ... utschland/
[10:21] Delia Lake: Friedsee and Monastery
[10:21] Lilith Ivory: 10 famous german wasserfalls
[10:21] Leslie Allandale entered chat range (1.39 m).
[10:22] Lilith Ivory: all of them named after the next town or the river
[10:22] Agatha Macbeth: Come back Les!
[10:22] Rosie Gray: wb, Leslie
[10:22] Lilith Ivory: wb Les
[10:22] Mizou Vavoom: wb Les
[10:22] Lilith Ivory: lol I love No 9
[10:22] Lilith Ivory: Kuhfluchtwasserfälle, Bayern
[10:22] Rosie Gray: it's normal for rivers and creeks to have names
[10:23] Lilith Ivory: that meens cattle getaway fall
[10:23] Rosie Gray: :D
[10:23] Leslie Allandale: sighs
[10:24] Lilith Ivory: or cow escape waterfall
[10:24] Mizou Vavoom: lol
[10:24] Tor Karlsvalt entered chat range (19.62 m).
[10:24] Agatha Macbeth: That's what I need: a cow escape
[10:24] Rosie Gray: so is the river there called Kuhflucht?
[10:24] Lilith Ivory: lol
[10:24] Rosie Gray: hi Tor
[10:24] Lilith Ivory: no, I don't thinks so , lets check
[10:24] Agatha Macbeth: Hello there Tor
[10:24] Mizou Vavoom: Hi Tor
[10:25] Tor Karlsvalt: Good morning everyone.
[10:25] Agatha Macbeth: Good evening :)
[10:25] Rosie Gray: Tor, you sneaky person
[10:25] Mizou Vavoom: Good evening :)
[10:25] Lilith Ivory: oooh I see - and that iS interesting
[10:25] Sudane Erato: Good mid-day :)
[10:25] Lilith Ivory: the website says the name has nothing to do with running cows but comes from an old roman name ...
[10:26] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[10:26] Rosie Gray: huh
[10:26] Agatha Macbeth: Trust the Romans
[10:26] Lilith Ivory: the romans called those falls confluchtum
[10:26] Mizou Vavoom: sounds like confluence?
[10:26] Rosie Gray: oh yes
[10:27] Lilith Ivory: IF we name that Fall Kuhflucht Wasserfall we have text for an educational sign ;-)
[10:27] Tor Karlsvalt: Funny how names change
[10:27] Agatha Macbeth: Doesn't Coblenz get its name from that too?
[10:27] Tor Karlsvalt: Now cow going over the falls?
[10:27] Agatha Macbeth: Moo
[10:27] Tor Karlsvalt: No cow*
[10:27] Lilith Ivory: look thats the fall
[10:27] Lilith Ivory: https://www.voucherwonderland.com/reise ... erfall.jpg
[10:28] Lilith Ivory: no idea about Coblenz :)
[10:28] Rosie Gray: :D
[10:28] Rosie Gray: Tor, we are talking about the CDS Search Listings and some of the suggested names
[10:28] Tor Karlsvalt: oh ok
[10:29] Delia Lake: if you want lake names that reflect what they are, Friedsee would be a word for deep blue lake and Monastery would be lake at the bottom of the waterfall
[10:29] Mizou Vavoom: Sorry everyone, I need to leave for another meeting
[10:29] Rosie Gray: because I questioned why we would call the Friedsee lake Mirrormere, and the waterfall falling water
[10:29] Mizou Vavoom: It was very interesting
[10:29] Lilith Ivory: see you Mizou
[10:29] Mizou Vavoom: Bye fo rnow
[10:29] Agatha Macbeth: Be well Mizou
[10:29] Tor Karlsvalt: bye Mizou
[10:29] Tor Karlsvalt: ok
[10:29] Rosie Gray: bye Mizou
[10:29] Tor Karlsvalt: Monastery lake is very deep.
[10:29] Agatha Macbeth: Tiefsee?
[10:30] Lilith Ivory: Tiefensee
[10:30] Tor Karlsvalt: Deep Lake
[10:30] Agatha Macbeth nods
[10:30] Tor Karlsvalt: Sounds good.
[10:30] Agatha Macbeth: That sounds quite good actually
[10:30] Agatha Macbeth: Indeed :p
[10:30] Rosie Gray: Tiefensee means deep lake?
[10:31] Agatha Macbeth: yep
[10:31] Lilith Ivory: yes Agatha is more correct as proper german would be tiefer See ..
[10:31] Lilith Ivory: but when naming things we germans sometimes add a few letter to make it sound better ;-)
[10:31] Tor Karlsvalt: Maybe we could fine a one prim dragon for a Tiefensee monster.
[10:31] Lilith Ivory: thats why germans would say Tiefensee instead of Tiefsee
[10:32] Rosie Gray: interesting
[10:32] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL @ Lilith
[10:32] Tor Karlsvalt: Not surprised Germans like longer words.
[10:32] Lilith Ivory wonders if there can be a h smuggled into Tiefsee
[10:32] Rosie Gray: oh gads, Tor, the question of prims in Monastery I think rules out a deep lake dragon :D
[10:32] Agatha Macbeth: Aww
[10:33] Sudane Erato: no dragons in MON
[10:33] Tor Karlsvalt: Hochtiefensee
[10:33] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[10:33] Lilith Ivory: lol Tor
[10:33] Sudane Erato: we could put a sea monster in LA
[10:33] Rosie Gray: :D
[10:33] Agatha Macbeth: River deep mountain high
[10:33] Lilith Ivory: aye for LA moster
[10:33] Lilith Ivory: lol
[10:34] Lilith Ivory: (I loved the ole latern fish in cape rua
[10:35] Lilith Ivory: lets go from one place to the other
[10:35] Lilith Ivory: so do we have a proposed name for the friedsee lake?
[10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: Those are those deep water fish with light dangling in front of its mouth?
[10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: Tiefensee
[10:36] Tor Karlsvalt: Rolls off the tongue nicely
[10:36] Rosie Gray: it does
[10:36] Rosie Gray: even for a non-German speaker
[10:37] Lilith Ivory: all infavour of Tiefensee for the lake in Friedsee?
[10:37] Rosie Gray: aye
[10:37] Leslie Allandale: aye
[10:37] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[10:38] Lilith Ivory: aye
[10:38] Sudane Erato: aye
[10:38] Rosie Gray: and what about adding Luna Marina to the list, instead of the LA beach?
[10:39] Lilith Ivory waits for Delia to vote, eve if the motion has carried
[10:39] Lilith Ivory: that was my earlier suggestion
[10:39] Leslie Allandale: yes
[10:39] Lilith Ivory: we could in fact have nice street festivals there
[10:39] Agatha Macbeth: Like the sound of that
[10:39] Tor Karlsvalt: That would be a nice idea.
[10:39] Rosie Gray: I really think we need to make it more known
[10:40] Lilith Ivory: I agree
[10:40] Rosie Gray: and it needs a sign ㋡
[10:40] Lilith Ivory: I asked Tor to take the LA beach out of paid listings as if one does a search for beaches one migh tbe disappointed about our lovely but small beach
[10:40] Tor Karlsvalt: There used to be a temple on the beach
[10:41] Tor Karlsvalt: I don't remember if it was dedicated to any particular god.
[10:41] Rosie Gray adds Luna Marina to the landmark descriptions for signage document
[10:41] Lilith Ivory sighs and calls the meeting to order again :)
[10:42] Lilith Ivory: can we agree on a name for falling waters first?
[10:42] Agatha Macbeth: Good diea
[10:42] Lilith Ivory: I do move we call it Kuhfluchtwaterfall
[10:42] Sudane Erato: Monastery Falls
[10:42] Lilith Ivory: and have a sign to explain the roman origin of the name
[10:42] Rosie Gray: I like that, Lilith
[10:43] Rosie Gray: since we already have the word Monastery securely intact anyway ㋡
[10:43] Lilith Ivory: well, the falling waters are in AM but I love monastery falls for the one in Monastery :)
[10:43] Tor Karlsvalt: Always reminds me of those falls where Sherlock Holmes died.
[10:43] Lilith Ivory: folks seem to love our german tongue breakers ;-)
[10:43] Agatha Macbeth: And came back
[10:43] Rosie Gray: it's 'exotic' :D
[10:43] Sudane Erato: but he didn't really die
[10:43] Delia Lake: that name needs a pronounciation guide, Lil
[10:44] Sudane Erato: yes :)
[10:44] Lilith Ivory: I am sure we can add the correct pronounciation to the educational sign ;-)
[10:44] Rosie Gray: yes ㋡
[10:45] Rosie Gray: but I guess I have a question about the name
[10:45] Rosie Gray: would it reflect the entire watercourse, or only the biggest part of the waterfall area
[10:45] Delia Lake: for long names we have to make sure that any abbreviation is not an obscene word
[10:45] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[10:45] Rosie Gray: there are actually two or even three separate waterfall areas in that water system
[10:46] Rosie Gray: so... I don't know, just asking if it works for all of it from the German perspective
[10:47] Rosie Gray: and two nice sized pools too, before you get to the sea
[10:48] Rosie Gray tests to see if she is still here
[10:48] Lilith Ivory: it would as the Kuhfluchtwasserfälle are more than just one
[10:48] Rosie Gray: okay ㋡
[10:48] Agatha Macbeth: You are Rosie
[10:48] Tor Karlsvalt: KFWF
[10:48] Rosie Gray: lol, thanks
[10:48] Lilith Ivory: I was googling the pronounciation but that will take a while to find it
[10:49] Lilith Ivory: did you know that FDS as we call friedsee means something offending in portugese?
[10:49] Agatha Macbeth did
[10:49] Sudane Erato: oh jeez :(
[10:49] Leslie Allandale: I like the plural name. ty Rosie.
[10:49] Rosie Gray: maybe we can get you to make a voice clip for pronunciation, Lilith
[10:49] Tor Karlsvalt: Wow, no
[10:50] Lilith Ivory: yea and I am sure I can find something like this :)
[10:50] Tor Karlsvalt: That would be cool.
[10:50] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[10:50] Rosie Gray: I like Kuhfluchtwasserfälle, myself
[10:51] Lilith Ivory: me too :)
[10:51] Agatha Macbeth: Me too
[10:51] Tor Karlsvalt: I like it too.
[10:51] Lilith Ivory: a lot better than Alpine meadow waterfall
[10:51] Rosie Gray: and as you pointed out, gives something interetsing to put in a sign for background
[10:51] Lilith Ivory: right
[10:51] Agatha Macbeth: Will be a big sign mind you
[10:51] Tor Karlsvalt: Animal people might not like us throwing cows down the river, but I like it.
[10:51] Lilith Ivory: we can explain the RL name and origin and afterwards Delia can write something about her SL landscaping
[10:52] Lilith Ivory giggle
[10:52] Leslie Allandale: I propose we vote on that.
[10:52] Lilith Ivory: I second naming the AM waterfall Kuhfluchtfälle
[10:52] Rosie Gray: it was me that did that river and waterfalls
[10:52] Lilith Ivory: Kuhfuchtwasserfälle
[10:52] Tor Karlsvalt: And we had Romans living down in the valley too.
[10:52] Lilith Ivory: oh I see Rosie, sorr
[10:53] Tor Karlsvalt: So ties into CDS history.
[10:53] Leslie Allandale: ty, Lilith.
[10:53] Lilith Ivory: in this case you can write something :)
[10:53] Rosie Gray nods
[10:53] Rosie Gray: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WwK ... sp=sharing
[10:53] Rosie Gray: I've been adding to this document
[10:54] Rosie Gray: which started off with Tor's but has evolved
[10:54] Lilith Ivory: great, thank you
[10:54] Tor Karlsvalt: Super
[10:54] Rosie Gray: and I think people forgot about it
[10:54] Lilith Ivory: yea :)
[10:54] Lilith Ivory: the educational signs would in fact be the second item of old business on our agenda
[10:55] Lilith Ivory: I would just like to vote on removing the paid listing for Decumanus in CN for now and than we can move on
[10:55] Leslie Allandale: We have a motion and second.?
[10:56] Lilith Ivory: motion and secon for what?
[10:56] Rosie Gray: you are correct, Leslie
[10:56] Rosie Gray: for Kuhfuchtwasserfälle
[10:56] Rosie Gray: we didn't vote
[10:56] Lilith Ivory: ah ok
[10:56] Lilith Ivory: I seconded
[10:56] Leslie Allandale: aye
[10:56] Rosie Gray: aye
[10:56] Lilith Ivory: aye
[10:56] Sudane Erato: aye
[10:56] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[10:56] Lilith Ivory: YAY!
[10:57] Leslie Allandale: yay
[10:57] Agatha Macbeth: Yay
[10:57] Lilith Ivory: I really want to get the listings done so we can focus on our educational signs
[10:57] Tor Karlsvalt: Super work
[10:57] Agatha Macbeth: Good plan
[10:57] Rosie Gray: I agree, Lilith
[10:57] Leslie Allandale: :)
[10:57] Lilith Ivory: I move we remove the paid listing for Decantus until we have set up the new theatre and the tunnel system
[10:58] Leslie Allandale: second
[10:58] Rosie Gray: aye
[10:58] Agatha Macbeth: Aye
[10:58] Sudane Erato: aye
[10:58] Leslie Allandale: aye
[10:58] Lilith Ivory: aye
[10:59] Lilith Ivory: I can add a paid listing for the plaza in ... luna and anming of lake monastery to the next agenda if you like :)
[10:59] Lilith Ivory: motion carried
[10:59] Tor Karlsvalt remembers we have a new citizen in CN.
[10:59] Agatha Macbeth: Oh?
[11:00] Delia Lake: yes
[11:00] Lilith Ivory: what does that have to do with placing listings on both locations?
[11:00] Agatha Macbeth: Good question actually :p
[11:00] Tor Karlsvalt: nothing
[11:00] Lilith Ivory giggles
[11:00] Tor Karlsvalt: just thought I would tell people good news
[11:00] Lilith Ivory: we do have dart nights for casual chats :)
[11:00] Lilith Ivory: (sorry)
[11:01] Lilith Ivory: there is a RA meeting tomorrow
[11:01] Rosie Gray: yes, we will never get through our Agenda if we don't stay on topic
[11:01] Lilith Ivory: and govt hour
[11:01] Agatha Macbeth: Next week
[11:01] Lilith Ivory: ah yes
[11:01] Leslie Allandale: I think its a good idea, Lilith.
[11:01] Agatha Macbeth: RA is 21st
[11:01] Lilith Ivory: o :)
[11:01] Lilith Ivory: sorry for being germanic strict ,-)
[11:01] Agatha Macbeth: (Phew)
[11:01] Lilith Ivory: didn't have enough coffee so far
[11:02] Lilith Ivory: ooohkay :)
[11:02] Lilith Ivory: next agenda item :)
[11:02] Lilith Ivory: educational signage signs
[11:02] Leslie Allandale: No prob, Lilith.
[11:03] Lilith Ivory: Rosie is right, we should keep working on that google doc, but keeping in mind those signs are not meant as obvious advertisement but as educational info :)
[11:04] Rosie Gray: the way I see it is the actual wording on the sign would be very simple
[11:04] Rosie Gray: and you touch it for a 'whisper' description
[11:04] Lilith Ivory: yes like you did it at the heritage rocks
[11:04] Lilith Ivory: YES
[11:04] Rosie Gray: exactly
[11:04] Rosie Gray: which I did change to a whisper instead of giving a notecard
[11:04] Rosie Gray: nobody needs to fill up their inventories with those
[11:04] Lilith Ivory: and if we want at the end of the whisper description could be a link to a website description
[11:04] Agatha Macbeth: Interesting
[11:05] Rosie Gray: yes, exactly
[11:05] Tor Karlsvalt: That is good
[11:05] Lilith Ivory: phew :)
[11:05] Lilith Ivory: can we vote to have the text set up like this ?
[11:05] Tor Karlsvalt: Sometimes NC sort of interrupt the flow of SL
[11:05] Rosie Gray: they do
[11:06] Lilith Ivory: I know our chancellor hates getting notecards too often
[11:06] Sudane Erato: :)
[11:06] Agatha Macbeth: Aww
[11:06] Rosie Gray: and this sort of information isn't something people need to keep
[11:06] Rosie Gray: unless they are us :D
[11:06] Sudane Erato: hehe
[11:06] Lilith Ivory: lol yea
[11:07] Tor Karlsvalt: Well people can always make their own nc if they choose.
[11:07] Lilith Ivory: if they want to keep it thex can always copy it from the whispered text
[11:07] Rosie Gray: yes
[11:07] Eric Linden Heritage Rocks Sign* whispers: These heritage rocks were created and placed here by Eric Linden in 2004, when the city was originally founded as the City of Neualtenburg in the Anzere region of Second Life.
[11:07] Eric Linden Heritage Rocks Sign* whispers: ...
[11:07] Eric Linden Heritage Rocks Sign* whispers: The sim was eventually moved to its current location and renamed Neufreistadt. This is the beginning of what would become the now 6-sim community, the Confederation of Democratic Simulators (CDS) that we are today.
[11:07] Sudane Erato: that's neat!
[11:07] Lilith Ivory: YES!
[11:07] Eric Linden Heritage Rocks Sign* whispers: ...
[11:07] Eric Linden Heritage Rocks Sign* whispers: Note there is also a sign, just down the walkway towards the valley, also created and placed by Eric Linden in 2004. "PARADISE".
[11:08] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[11:08] Eric Linden Heritage Rocks Sign* whispers: ...
[11:08] Eric Linden Heritage Rocks Sign* whispers: For more information about the CDS visit our website: https://cdsdemocracy.org/
[11:08] Tor Karlsvalt: Too bad CDS doesn't get linden everytime that sing is touched.
[11:08] Rosie Gray: hehe
[11:08] Lilith Ivory: lol
[11:08] Tor Karlsvalt: sign*
[11:08] Lilith Ivory: I wonder if we can modify the script so it only wispers after you paid it
[11:08] Sudane Erato: you mean $Ls ?
[11:09] Agatha Macbeth: Like those boxes with VOTE on them
[11:09] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[11:09] Rosie Gray: why would we do that? don't we want people to see them?
[11:09] Lilith Ivory: right :)
[11:09] Lilith Ivory: we can put a very HEAVY script inside so a Linden has to come every time it gets touched lol
[11:10] Sudane Erato: instead, the last whsipered line could be... PLEASE GIVE MONEY
[11:10] Rosie Gray: :D
[11:10] Lilith Ivory: hehe
[11:10] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL, or Suggested donation is $LX
[11:11] Rosie Gray: when I was adding things to this Landmark Descriptions for Signage doc I was also thinking that a lot of it could go on the website
[11:11] Lilith Ivory: now I get sidetracked lol ... but we should sit a begger animesh doll right beside every sign and have the begger wisper
[11:11] Rosie Gray: to make the regions more interesting from that perspective
[11:11] Tor Karlsvalt: The whisper thing is good. Can it be made to give all the text on one touch?
[11:11] Rosie Gray: it is only one touch
[11:11] Tor Karlsvalt: oh ok
[11:12] Lilith Ivory: great :)
[11:12] Tor Karlsvalt: Then super
[11:12] Rosie Gray: It doesn't have to have the ... breaks
[11:12] Lilith Ivory: I am really happy we agree on how the sign should be - so we cn go to actually creatign the text and signs :)
[11:12] Rosie Gray: i could take those out if you think it delays the text too much
[11:12] Lilith Ivory: I do like the braks as it helps non native speakers
[11:12] Rosie Gray nods
[11:12] Sudane Erato: yes
[11:13] Lilith Ivory: I always got lost when the chancellor report came in too fast
[11:13] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[11:13] Rosie Gray: yeah I like the breaks too so it's not just a huge dump of text all at once
[11:13] Sudane Erato: also, I've experimented with an audio voice text delivery when a sign is touched
[11:13] Rosie Gray: oh that's interesting, Sudane
[11:13] Sudane Erato: you might want that somewhere
[11:13] Lilith Ivory: oh that sounds cool too
[11:13] Lilith Ivory: I would like it in addition to the text perhaps
[11:13] Rosie Gray: I guess it could work just like a music box
[11:14] Sudane Erato: yes
[11:14] Lilith Ivory: or two buttons: ome for audio and one for text
[11:14] Tor Karlsvalt: That would be nice
[11:14] Lilith Ivory: for me reading something is more eays to understand than voice
[11:14] Rosie Gray: does anyone have a script for that already
[11:14] Sudane Erato: check the sign over the door of the Chapel of Women
[11:14] Sudane Erato: just the first two lines... i haven't recorded more
[11:14] Rosie Gray nods
[11:15] Rosie Gray: I have looked at those signs before but I guess before you did the voice part
[11:15] Lilith Ivory: same here :)
[11:15] Sudane Erato: i forget when I did that
[11:15] Sudane Erato: I think its still working
[11:16] Delia Lake: I didn't even realize there was voice. will try it again
[11:16] Lilith Ivory: I will check after that meeting
[11:16] Sudane Erato: btw, we're almost 2 hrs
[11:16] Lilith Ivory: oh my, time flies :)
[11:16] Sudane Erato: hehe
[11:16] Lilith Ivory: should we adjourn an ...oh wait lol, next meeting time :)
[11:16] Rosie Gray: :D
[11:16] Agatha Macbeth: We're having fun that's why
[11:17] Sudane Erato: time flies when you're .....
[11:17] Lilith Ivory: yea lol
[11:17] Agatha Macbeth: Exactly
[11:17] Rosie Gray: we are, but I know most of us have other things to do too ㋡
[11:17] Sudane Erato: yep :)

[11:18] Sudane Erato: thats MY congressman!! :)
[11:18] Lilith Ivory: I was in a hurry to get older as it seems lol
[11:19] Tor Karlsvalt: I know, Sudane hehe
[11:19] Sudane Erato: lil Lil :)
[11:19] Lilith Ivory: you can say that lol
[11:19] Rosie Gray: I prefer a date when we don't already have something, if possible
[11:19] Agatha Macbeth: Agreed

[11:19] Lilith Ivory: me too

[11:19] Sudane Erato: yeah... schedules get rather congested :(

[11:21] Lilith Ivory: if Sudane reminds us at the time again lol
[11:21] Leslie Allandale: earlier is better.
[11:21] Agatha Macbeth: Not even we can talk that long
[11:21] Sudane Erato: LOL... possible :)
[11:21] Rosie Gray: should be fine as I don't think anyone wants a 3 hour meeting
[11:21] Lilith Ivory: I could do more earlie too
[11:22] Lilith Ivory: we set that time because of Delias farmer markets
[11:22] Rosie Gray: I can't do earlier than 9 am slt
[11:22] Sudane Erato: can Delia make Sunday?
[11:22] Tor Karlsvalt loves farmer markets.
[11:22] Sudane Erato: those are Saturday :)
[11:22] Agatha Macbeth: Maybe RL collared her
[11:22] Rosie Gray gives Delia a POKE!
