[2022/01/08 12:21] Tor Karlsvalt: ♫~~♫~~APPLAUSE~~♫~~♫
[2022/01/08 12:21] Rosie Gray: clap clap clap
[2022/01/08 12:22] Almut Brunswick: I personally must state that I was completely surprised by Han's decision, so I assume you felt the same.
[2022/01/08 12:22] Almut Brunswick: Anyway, Delia has already called for a by-election.
[2022/01/08 12:22] Almut Brunswick: Delia, can you give us a status in this matter please?
[2022/01/08 12:23] Delia Lake: Yes. The deadline for declaration of candidacy for the RA for a by-election is tomorrow, Sunday. At this time the SC has had no one declare candidacy
[2022/01/08 12:24] Rosie Gray: :(
[2022/01/08 12:24] Jerry McNally: Do the inworld messages to the CDS group get repeated?
[2022/01/08 12:24] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): looks for some arms to twist
[2022/01/08 12:24] Delia Lake: The RA can operate with 4 members. 5 though is preferable
[2022/01/08 12:24] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): will do
[2022/01/08 12:25] Delia Lake: I can repeat the group inworld message
[2022/01/08 12:25] Almut Brunswick: Yes, especially when we - the SC and the RA - will probably need to adjust the Constitution at some points
[2022/01/08 12:25] Delia Lake: and I have of course posted to the Forum
[2022/01/08 12:26] Delia Lake: if you all talk with folks, and someone is interested
[2022/01/08 12:26] Jerry McNally: there's a period of time for the candidate to campaign, but it feels like we all need to campaign to get them interested first
[2022/01/08 12:26] Delia Lake: I need a no-mod notecard with their declaration by midnight tomorrow
[2022/01/08 12:26] Almut Brunswick: I think we should address some people directly if they could imagine serving with the RA
[2022/01/08 12:26] Delia Lake: yes, Jerry, that's it :)
[2022/01/08 12:27] Almut Brunswick: Ok, thank you. We need to leave this point open for now.
[2022/01/08 12:27] Almut Brunswick: 2. Executive Report (Tor)
[2022/01/08 12:27] Delia Lake: yes. and I'm done
[2022/01/08 12:27] XD-Moderator Speaker List v2.36: Current Speaker is Now:
[2022/01/08 12:27] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): I have a little list which I will pass on privately
[2022/01/08 12:27] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Delia!
[2022/01/08 12:28] Almut Brunswick: Mr. Chancellor, the stage is yours.
[2022/01/08 12:28] Tor Karlsvalt: Thanks
[2022/01/08 12:28] Tor Karlsvalt: I really honestly have just a few words
[2022/01/08 12:28] Almut Brunswick: (Don't believe him!^^)
[2022/01/08 12:28] Tor Karlsvalt: Welcome Agatha Macbeth to our community.
[2022/01/08 12:28] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2022/01/08 12:29] Agatha Macbeth: :)
[2022/01/08 12:29] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2022/01/08 12:29] Tor Karlsvalt: We will be happy to have you and are encouraged by your presence here at an RA meeting
[2022/01/08 12:30] Tor Karlsvalt: We have at least one other new person who moved into LA
[2022/01/08 12:30] Tor Karlsvalt: So looking for great things.
[2022/01/08 12:30] Jerry McNally: /me thinks LA is the best, by the way
[2022/01/08 12:30] Tor Karlsvalt: Sylvia and I have been looking at the Casper website
[2022/01/08 12:30] Tor Karlsvalt: You might have noticed I have used prim parcels to place an ad about CDS on that website
[2022/01/08 12:31] Tor Karlsvalt: We are working to add at least LI info to the casper website
[2022/01/08 12:31] Tor Karlsvalt: My intention is to put a link to the website on the kiosk.
[2022/01/08 12:32] Tor Karlsvalt: Also, I think I will offer a HUD that interested people can wear to see our available land at any time.
[2022/01/08 12:33] Tor Karlsvalt: Also, I think land sales should have a prominent place on our own website.
[2022/01/08 12:33] Tor Karlsvalt: I have to commend Kyoko for the Colt on Sax event held on the 1st.
[2022/01/08 12:34] Tor Karlsvalt: In particular, I want to thank Colt for his excellent promotion of land in CDS.
[2022/01/08 12:34] Tor Karlsvalt: Lastly, just need to remind the RA that the budget should be approved.
[2022/01/08 12:34] Tor Karlsvalt: thanks
[2022/01/08 12:34] Jerry McNally: link to budget https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=9864
[2022/01/08 12:35] Jerry McNally: /me raises a hand
[2022/01/08 12:35] XD-Moderator Speaker List v2.36: Current Speaker is Now:
[2022/01/08 12:35] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Tor. Before we take a look at the budget, Jerry please.
[2022/01/08 12:35] Jerry McNally: thanks, just a quick casper question
[2022/01/08 12:36] Jerry McNally: by "the casper website" do you mean https://www.casperpanel.com/rentals/hm5 ... /available
[2022/01/08 12:36] Tor Karlsvalt: yes
[2022/01/08 12:36] Tor Karlsvalt: actually the poster on the wall will give you that link
[2022/01/08 12:36] Jerry McNally: thanks, that looks great btw. And I'll check out that poster
[2022/01/08 12:36] Tor Karlsvalt: I should note that we are also going to update parcel pics
[2022/01/08 12:37] Rosie Gray: /me raises a hand
[2022/01/08 12:37] Almut Brunswick: Rosie please
[2022/01/08 12:37] Rosie Gray: thank you
[2022/01/08 12:37] Rosie Gray: Tor, just wondering where the Casper kiosk is that displays these?
[2022/01/08 12:37] Rosie Gray: I was thinking it should be in a place easy for folks to find
[2022/01/08 12:37] Tor Karlsvalt: um I was going to add it to the current kiosks
[2022/01/08 12:37] Tor Karlsvalt: If that is possible.
[2022/01/08 12:38] Rosie Gray: could add a link on the current kiosks
[2022/01/08 12:38] Rosie Gray: but it wouldn't display the parcels
[2022/01/08 12:38] Rosie Gray: certainly a link though
[2022/01/08 12:38] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): the lkink would
[2022/01/08 12:38] Tor Karlsvalt: But I think I will also add some dedicated poster near the CN and NFSs centers.
[2022/01/08 12:38] Tor Karlsvalt: right, the link displays the parcels.
[2022/01/08 12:38] Rosie Gray: isnt' there an actual kiosk that people can scroll through though? thought there was
[2022/01/08 12:39] Rosie Gray: maybe I'm thinking of the Hippos
[2022/01/08 12:39] Tor Karlsvalt: I think there is but I think a vendor like that might be too much to scroll though
[2022/01/08 12:39] Rosie Gray: okay
[2022/01/08 12:39] Rosie Gray: thank you
[2022/01/08 12:39] Rosie Gray: done
[2022/01/08 12:39] Tor Karlsvalt: wy
[2022/01/08 12:40] Almut Brunswick: Any further questions?
[2022/01/08 12:40] Mizou Vavoom: /raises hand
[2022/01/08 12:40] Almut Brunswick: Mizou please
[2022/01/08 12:40] Mizou Vavoom: Just a hought, about displaying the casper page, could we use a board with the page link?
[2022/01/08 12:41] Mizou Vavoom: I could design a nice new board for display
[2022/01/08 12:41] Mizou Vavoom: I mean a media prim that displays the actual page
[2022/01/08 12:41] Almut Brunswick: That would be great.
[2022/01/08 12:41] Tor Karlsvalt: Thanks Mizou. Actually that poster about CDS does link to the website. Intend to make a nice, more land specific sign for the link
[2022/01/08 12:42] Tor Karlsvalt: I note that I designed this poster mostly as an ad to display ON the website.
[2022/01/08 12:42] Mizou Vavoom: So shall i go ahead with that project?
[2022/01/08 12:42] Almut Brunswick: You could mesh something and define materials/faces as media prim.
[2022/01/08 12:42] Tor Karlsvalt: I use the prim parcels to show the ad.
[2022/01/08 12:42] Rosie Gray: that's what the existing kiosk is, Almut
[2022/01/08 12:42] Mizou Vavoom: /me nods to Almut
[2022/01/08 12:42] Almut Brunswick: Yes, I know
[2022/01/08 12:42] Rosie Gray: could update it for the land sales, for sure
[2022/01/08 12:43] Tor Karlsvalt: It was suggested by someone at a meeting that we don't try to find residents who are interested in our democracy.
[2022/01/08 12:43] Almut Brunswick: Tor, is it already another topic?
[2022/01/08 12:43] Almut Brunswick: I think Mizou still awaits an answer
[2022/01/08 12:43] Tor Karlsvalt: ok
[2022/01/08 12:44] Almut Brunswick: I personally would encourage Mizou, however, it is likely at the discretion of the Chancellor.
[2022/01/08 12:44] Tor Karlsvalt: I think we need to link the CDS kiosks but a separate boad would be good too for some sites in CDS
[2022/01/08 12:45] Almut Brunswick: Shall we take it as a "Go, Mizou"?
[2022/01/08 12:45] Tor Karlsvalt: I think regarding materials, the kiosk textures will rule what is used.
[2022/01/08 12:45] Tor Karlsvalt: sure
[2022/01/08 12:45] Tor Karlsvalt: I would love the help
[2022/01/08 12:45] Almut Brunswick: Ok, then I propose that you and Mizou agree about the details.
[2022/01/08 12:45] Mizou Vavoom: thanks, i will go ahead then and show you finished product probably by next weekend
[2022/01/08 12:46] Almut Brunswick: Perfect, thank you.
[2022/01/08 12:46] Kiosk 2019 Mesh: texture found: Kiosk Template 1024x
[2022/01/08 12:46] Almut Brunswick: interested in our democracy.
[2022/01/08 12:46] Almut Brunswick: [12:43] Tor Karlsvalt: It was suggested by someone at a meeting that we don't try to find residents who are interested in our democracy.
[2022/01/08 12:46] Almut Brunswick: sorry, the copy and paste didn't work ;D
[2022/01/08 12:47] Almut Brunswick: Shall we discuss it now or later?
[2022/01/08 12:47] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): recommends later
[2022/01/08 12:47] Tor Karlsvalt: No, I just referenced that because that was the intent of highlighting what we are on the Casper board.
[2022/01/08 12:47] Almut Brunswick: Looking at the time, I suggest to move it to later
[2022/01/08 12:47] Almut Brunswick: Ah ok
[2022/01/08 12:47] Jerry McNally: was it not just a quick point about encouraging people here because of our landscape and events, and worrying about the politics later?
[2022/01/08 12:48] Tor Karlsvalt: I suppose Jerry
[2022/01/08 12:48] Tor Karlsvalt: hard to say what works.
[2022/01/08 12:48] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): great ideas Tor
[2022/01/08 12:48] Cathy Sabre: Price and environment
[2022/01/08 12:48] Jerry McNally: Tor needs to keep doing what Tor's doing, I reckon
[2022/01/08 12:49] Tor Karlsvalt: I think we just need to at least node in the direction of democracy while we showcase our wonderful landscape.
[2022/01/08 12:49] Almut Brunswick: "Careful, you are leaving the despotic sector of SL"
[2022/01/08 12:49] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2022/01/08 12:49] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2022/01/08 12:49] Tor Karlsvalt: /me jots that down for a slogan.
[2022/01/08 12:49] Almut Brunswick: Ok, I think that would be worth a workshop meeting of its own
[2022/01/08 12:50] Almut Brunswick: but I suggest we are looking into the presented budget now
[2022/01/08 12:50] Almut Brunswick: Everyone has the link opened?
[2022/01/08 12:50] Jerry McNally: /me notes there wasn't any feedback on the budget forum post, so all's good?
[2022/01/08 12:51] Almut Brunswick: Are there any questions about the budget yet?
[2022/01/08 12:52] Cathy Sabre: no
[2022/01/08 12:52] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): /me likes the event budget ;)
[2022/01/08 12:52] Jerry McNally: not about the budget, but I have a question related to advertising aspect
[2022/01/08 12:52] Almut Brunswick: ok go ahead please
[2022/01/08 12:53] Jerry McNally: In the minutes last time it was suggested to search for other blogs and websites open to advertising. Any progress on that?
[2022/01/08 12:53] Jerry McNally: as well as SL Newser, I mean
[2022/01/08 12:54] Almut Brunswick: Was it a general question or directed on Tor?
[2022/01/08 12:54] Tor Karlsvalt: No Jerry, I didn't. I looked briefly probably am not connected enough to find good ones. In the past I have promoted CDS on the SL Blogs
[2022/01/08 12:54] Tor Karlsvalt: I and will.
[2022/01/08 12:54] Almut Brunswick: ok, thank you
[2022/01/08 12:54] Jerry McNally: maybe that's an action for all of us?
[2022/01/08 12:54] Tor Karlsvalt: Indeed, I think I will periodically find a way to put a link to our casper site
[2022/01/08 12:55] Tor Karlsvalt: on the Sl Blog
[2022/01/08 12:55] Sylvia Tamalyn: /me raises her hand
[2022/01/08 12:55] Almut Brunswick: Hence my asking back, Jerry
[2022/01/08 12:55] Almut Brunswick: Sylvia please
[2022/01/08 12:55] Tor Karlsvalt: I think all citizens should promote the CDS
[2022/01/08 12:55] Sylvia Tamalyn: apologies if you all have discussed this previously, but is use being made of the SL forums? i know i've seen you there a bit, tor
[2022/01/08 12:56] Tor Karlsvalt: /me nods
[2022/01/08 12:56] Sylvia Tamalyn: there are sections devoted to private estate advertising (for free)
[2022/01/08 12:56] Tor Karlsvalt: I agree Sylvia, and I intend to put something there.
[2022/01/08 12:57] Sylvia Tamalyn: and i'll come in behind you and bump the posts to the top ;)
[2022/01/08 12:57] Tor Karlsvalt: I think the blogs are useful, especially if people search search keywords like democracy.
[2022/01/08 12:57] Almut Brunswick: I propose when we start a thread in the Forum to collect some ideas, proposals and links, it might help Tor and Sylvia to improve our presence.
[2022/01/08 12:57] Tor Karlsvalt: that would be great
[2022/01/08 12:58] Tor Karlsvalt: I think you have followers.
[2022/01/08 12:58] Sylvia Tamalyn: i guess you could call them that
[2022/01/08 12:58] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[2022/01/08 12:59] Almut Brunswick: call me a wet blanket, but we ought to finish that budget topic now :D
[2022/01/08 12:59] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[2022/01/08 12:59] Rosie Gray: /me nods in agreement
[2022/01/08 12:59] Cathy Sabre: Was there a motion to approve/
[2022/01/08 12:59] Almut Brunswick: Oh, go for it, Cathy
[2022/01/08 13:00] Rosie Gray: approve what?
[2022/01/08 13:00] Cathy Sabre: move to approve
[2022/01/08 13:00] Almut Brunswick: the budget
[2022/01/08 13:00] Rosie Gray: you can't approve something without a proper reference
[2022/01/08 13:00] Rosie Gray: okay... link to it then :)
[2022/01/08 13:00] Rosie Gray: and please be specific when making a motion
[2022/01/08 13:00] Rosie Gray: can't approve a motion that is vague as to what it is referencing
[2022/01/08 13:01] Cathy Sabre: Will do, Rosie.
[2022/01/08 13:01] Rosie Gray: /me puts away her ruler for the moment ;)
[2022/01/08 13:01] Almut Brunswick: we weren't there yet
[2022/01/08 13:02] Almut Brunswick: Ok, hereby Cathy Sabre proposes to approve the budget for the 36th term as presented by the Chancellor. Reference: https://forums.slcds.info/download/file.php?id=980, Attachment 1
[2022/01/08 13:02] Cathy Sabre: I so move
[2022/01/08 13:02] Jerry McNally: Second
[2022/01/08 13:03] Almut Brunswick: Jerry, crosscheck the link in the Minutes later on
[2022/01/08 13:03] Cathy Sabre: Call the question
[2022/01/08 13:03] Rosie Gray: it worked
[2022/01/08 13:03] Almut Brunswick: Any further need for discussion?
[2022/01/08 13:03] Rosie Gray: not from me
[2022/01/08 13:03] Almut Brunswick: if not, let's vote.
[2022/01/08 13:03] Cathy Sabre: no
[2022/01/08 13:04] Rosie Gray: aye
[2022/01/08 13:04] Cathy Sabre: aye
[2022/01/08 13:04] Jerry McNally: aye
[2022/01/08 13:04] Almut Brunswick: aye
[2022/01/08 13:04] Rosie Gray: thank you Tor
[2022/01/08 13:04] Almut Brunswick: Thank you. Congratulation, Tor, your budget is approved.
[2022/01/08 13:04] Cathy Sabre: yay Tor.
[2022/01/08 13:04] Sylvia Tamalyn: /me claps
[2022/01/08 13:05] Sylvia Tamalyn: /me elbows tor
[2022/01/08 13:05] Tor Karlsvalt: Champagne for everyone
[2022/01/08 13:05] Shyla the Super Gecko (krijon): is online.
[2022/01/08 13:05] Almut Brunswick: And Kyoko has a giant event budget and got the new title "Madame von Saus & Braus"
[2022/01/08 13:05] Rosie Gray: /me laughs
[2022/01/08 13:05] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, let's continue to 3. Land-Use Commission Report (N.N.)
[2022/01/08 13:05] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): bows
[2022/01/08 13:06] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): (rubs her hands together)
[2022/01/08 13:06] Tor Karlsvalt: lol
[2022/01/08 13:06] Almut Brunswick: N.N. means: We need to ask Mizou or Delia if they could report something about the LUC work
[2022/01/08 13:07] Almut Brunswick: From next meeting on, this will be Cathy#s job
[2022/01/08 13:07] Mizou Vavoom: /me hides under her hoodie
[2022/01/08 13:07] Almut Brunswick: Volunteers!!! = > MIZOU!!!
[2022/01/08 13:07] Almut Brunswick: :D
[2022/01/08 13:07] Mizou Vavoom: lol,
[2022/01/08 13:08] Almut Brunswick: Well, we can skip that point when there is currently nothing to report.
[2022/01/08 13:08] Mizou Vavoom: Well i sincerely haven't looked at the last meeting notes and its been such a long time since we met, but maybe Delia remembers something
[2022/01/08 13:08] Almut Brunswick: uh oh... :D
[2022/01/08 13:09] Almut Brunswick: (the gingerbread was a bit hard and the coffee a bit strong, but the LUC had a wonderful Xmas meeting^^)
[2022/01/08 13:09] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[2022/01/08 13:10] Almut Brunswick: I propose to postpone the report till next meeting, ok?
[2022/01/08 13:10] Almut Brunswick: Now you have a full complement, so you can start working hard :D
[2022/01/08 13:10] Delia Lake: I was not at the last LUC meeting, I had another rl commitment at that time
[2022/01/08 13:10] Almut Brunswick: 3. Old Business
3.1 Call for a MoCa Curator
[2022/01/08 13:11] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): Have some melted snowman cookies :)
[2022/01/08 13:11] Almut Brunswick: delicious, Kyoko
[2022/01/08 13:11] Almut Brunswick: I'm afraid we still don't have a suitable candidate found.
[2022/01/08 13:12] Rosie Gray: /me raises a hand
[2022/01/08 13:12] Cathy Sabre: Hard to follow the old one.
[2022/01/08 13:12] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): raises a hand
[2022/01/08 13:13] Almut Brunswick: Kyoko please
[2022/01/08 13:13] Rosie Gray: ahem
[2022/01/08 13:13] Rosie Gray: /me looks at her raised hand
[2022/01/08 13:13] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): I suggest we table it for now. In a few weeks it may resolve itself.
[2022/01/08 13:14] Almut Brunswick: Rosie, sorry, please
[2022/01/08 13:14] Rosie Gray: thannk you
[2022/01/08 13:14] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): sorry rosie
[2022/01/08 13:14] Rosie Gray: I propose to create a sign to put in the MoCA building saying that we are looking for a curator for the building, and to contact the RA if interested
[2022/01/08 13:14] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): go for it
[2022/01/08 13:14] Rosie Gray: if that's agreeable, I'll do that later today
[2022/01/08 13:15] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): butb I am inclined to delete it or put it at the end
[2022/01/08 13:15] Cathy Sabre: yes
[2022/01/08 13:15] Rosie Gray: Kyoko you are in the wrong box again
[2022/01/08 13:15] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): ok notedsorry wrong window
[2022/01/08 13:15] Almut Brunswick: I suggest that Kyoko and Rosie may implement something like this together.
[2022/01/08 13:15] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2022/01/08 13:16] Jerry McNally: Rosie's curator sign idea sounds good, go for it
[2022/01/08 13:16] Rosie Gray: I will get a description of the curator duties from Kyoko or Delia to include
[2022/01/08 13:16] Cathy Sabre: I would like Rosie to make a sign for us advertising the curator position
[2022/01/08 13:17] Cathy Sabre: Does everyone agree?
[2022/01/08 13:17] Almut Brunswick: Ok, let's vote for it when there is no further need to discuss it.
[2022/01/08 13:17] Rosie Gray: I don't think we need a vote, if it's agreeable I'll go do it
[2022/01/08 13:18] Cathy Sabre: aye
[2022/01/08 13:18] Almut Brunswick: Ok, then an informal "yes, do it!"
[2022/01/08 13:18] Almut Brunswick: aye
[2022/01/08 13:18] Rosie Gray: thank you
[2022/01/08 13:18] Almut Brunswick: Great...now
[2022/01/08 13:18] Almut Brunswick: 3.2 Constitution Review Article III, Sections 1 and 2, and CDSL 16-07 Scientific Council Affirmation Procedures Act to bring them into Alignment
* Note: In the last RA meeting, the SC Dean asked to let the SC starting the public debate in the Forum by presenting their recommendations for change once their review is complete.
[2022/01/08 13:19] Almut Brunswick: I direct the question for an update in this respect to the Dean of the SC.
[2022/01/08 13:20] Almut Brunswick: or Calli if Delia is absent right now
[2022/01/08 13:21] Almut Brunswick: umm, shall we continue and come back to that topic later?
[2022/01/08 13:21] Cathy Sabre: Raises hand
[2022/01/08 13:21] Almut Brunswick: Cathy please
[2022/01/08 13:22] Callipygian Christensen: I can speak, but I thought Delia was here
[2022/01/08 13:22] Cathy Sabre: The law contradicts the constitution, right?
[2022/01/08 13:23] Almut Brunswick: Well, as far as I see it, there are two diverging regulations in the Constitution, so that the Act contradicts one of these articles. But let's hear what the SC has found out.
[2022/01/08 13:23] Callipygian Christensen: Shall i?
[2022/01/08 13:23] Rosie Gray: /me raises a hand
[2022/01/08 13:23] Rosie Gray: oh... defers to Calli
[2022/01/08 13:23] Cathy Sabre: Yes, Calli
[2022/01/08 13:24] Cathy Sabre: I yeild
[2022/01/08 13:24] Almut Brunswick: Yes please, Calli
[2022/01/08 13:24] Callipygian Christensen: to first answer Cathy, yes, currently a law that is posted as active contradicts the Consitution and is therfore invalid.
[2022/01/08 13:25] Callipygian Christensen: However, much in the wording of the Consitution isbased on a structure and process for the SC that hasnt existed for many years.
[2022/01/08 13:25] Callipygian Christensen: At our meeting we discussed that we will prepare an amended wording for that section of the Cosiutution and post it to Forums for comment, then bring it to RA for potential action.
[2022/01/08 13:26] Callipygian Christensen: Once the Consitutuin is worded appropriately, then examining laws related to it can occur and any amendments needed can proceed.
[2022/01/08 13:26] Callipygian Christensen: Ur time line on that is the next 4 weeks iirc
[2022/01/08 13:26] Callipygian Christensen: Done.
[2022/01/08 13:26] Rosie Gray: /me raises a hand
[2022/01/08 13:26] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Calli. Rosie please.
[2022/01/08 13:26] Rosie Gray: thank yo
[2022/01/08 13:27] Rosie Gray: just to say that I've made some notes about the constitution other places as well as its references to the SC
[2022/01/08 13:27] Rosie Gray: there are other places with outdated references that need addressing as well
[2022/01/08 13:28] Rosie Gray: so, if we are going to update the Constitution, we might as well fix up the whole document
[2022/01/08 13:28] Rosie Gray: done
[2022/01/08 13:28] Almut Brunswick: Thank you. Any other statements?
[2022/01/08 13:28] Jerry McNally: /me raises a hand
[2022/01/08 13:29] Callipygian Christensen: Rosie, we actually have a draft of 'fixing the whole document'..and that is what we are working from - but even doing thwe whole it makes sense to do and vote on a piece at a time
[2022/01/08 13:29] Almut Brunswick: Rosie, how do you provide your notes?
[2022/01/08 13:29] Rosie Gray: I have a draft for fixing the whole document as well
[2022/01/08 13:29] Callipygian Christensen: If you do the whole thing at once you risk having people vote no to the whole thing because they object to some minor item in one section
[2022/01/08 13:29] Rosie Gray: which the RA was invited to
[2022/01/08 13:29] Rosie Gray: perhaps we should all work on the same document then?
[2022/01/08 13:30] Almut Brunswick: Would it make sense that Rosie's notes would be evaluated by the SC? Probably there will be a number of the same findings.
[2022/01/08 13:30] Almut Brunswick: (Jerry, I have you on the list, don't worry)
[2022/01/08 13:30] Cathy Sabre: Raises hand
[2022/01/08 13:31] Almut Brunswick: Jerry, the Cathy
[2022/01/08 13:31] Callipygian Christensen: well the SC was asked to first address our section, so I think we have to flfil that as a starting point
[2022/01/08 13:32] Jerry McNally: I just wanted to say that I agree - I agree that Calli and her team should work on their bits, Rosie and the RA on the things *they* find, and then we compare notes afterwards and combine.
[2022/01/08 13:32] Almut Brunswick: nods in agreement
[2022/01/08 13:32] Rosie Gray: fine with me :)
[2022/01/08 13:32] Almut Brunswick: Cathy?
[2022/01/08 13:32] Cathy Sabre: It may be possible to vote on it piecemeal, but the whole thingneeds to be complete, to avoid futre conflicrs.
[2022/01/08 13:33] Cathy Sabre: my fingers apologize
[2022/01/08 13:34] Almut Brunswick: I think when this en bloc approach does not make the procedure too huge, it is surely to be preferred. I think identifying portions that have dependencies should be fixed together.
[2022/01/08 13:34] Cathy Sabre: yes
[2022/01/08 13:35] Almut Brunswick: Other, more isolated parts could be fixed afterwards. To determine this will be part of the legislative work.
[2022/01/08 13:35] Almut Brunswick: Ok then, if there aren't any further contributions for now, I propose to carry on .
[2022/01/08 13:36] Delia Lake: back. sorry I had to leave for a bit to handle rl
[2022/01/08 13:36] Almut Brunswick: we, Delia. Calli was so kind to update us.
[2022/01/08 13:37] Delia Lake: Yes. I just read what Calli said and agree with her
[2022/01/08 13:37] Almut Brunswick: Perfect. Then we are looking forward to your proposals.
[2022/01/08 13:37] Almut Brunswick: 4. New Business
[2022/01/08 13:37] Almut Brunswick: We can table it for today.
[2022/01/08 13:37] Almut Brunswick: 5. Citizen Concerns
[2022/01/08 13:38] Almut Brunswick: Are there any citizen concerns to be brought up here?
[2022/01/08 13:38] Sylvia Tamalyn: none from me
[2022/01/08 13:38] Almut Brunswick: Agatha?
[2022/01/08 13:38] Agatha Macbeth: All good here thanks
[2022/01/08 13:39] Rosie Gray: /me raises a hand
[2022/01/08 13:39] Almut Brunswick: Rosie plase
[2022/01/08 13:39] Almut Brunswick: please*
[2022/01/08 13:39] Rosie Gray: yes I have a concern/complaint as a citizen
[2022/01/08 13:39] Rosie Gray: I am annoyed by the media prims that are spamming the regions
[2022/01/08 13:39] Rosie Gray: I know Tor is aware
[2022/01/08 13:39] Tor Karlsvalt: /me nods
[2022/01/08 13:40] Rosie Gray: and we do have a law against this
[2022/01/08 13:40] Rosie Gray: so I am just saying how bloody annoying they are.
[2022/01/08 13:40] Rosie Gray: done
[2022/01/08 13:40] Vandeverre: is online.
[2022/01/08 13:40] Rosie Gray: /me grumbles to herself
[2022/01/08 13:40] Tor Karlsvalt: https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=9875
[2022/01/08 13:41] Tor Karlsvalt: /me raises hand
[2022/01/08 13:41] Sylvia Tamalyn: /me raises her hand
[2022/01/08 13:41] Almut Brunswick: Tor, then Sylvia
[2022/01/08 13:41] Tor Karlsvalt: thanks
[2022/01/08 13:41] Tor Karlsvalt: Yes, I put a link to my post on this subject
[2022/01/08 13:41] Tor Karlsvalt: I also sent a NC.
[2022/01/08 13:41] Tor Karlsvalt: That was preliminary to sending a nc to the individual with the prim.
[2022/01/08 13:42] Tor Karlsvalt: The problem is that media on a prim cannot be restricted to a parcel.
[2022/01/08 13:42] Tor Karlsvalt: It just broadcasts.
[2022/01/08 13:42] Tor Karlsvalt: And in my experience I can be heard all over the region.
[2022/01/08 13:42] Tor Karlsvalt: So since the problem persists I will contact the individual.
[2022/01/08 13:43] Tor Karlsvalt: done
[2022/01/08 13:43] Almut Brunswick: Thank you. Sylvia please
[2022/01/08 13:44] Sylvia Tamalyn: thank you. this ties in with what tor just said. i suggest that the estate managers be given a notecard approved by the chancellor, that we can send to individuals as we come across these things, so that tor doesnt' have to come on and pass out notecards all the time. the next step if the problem persists, would be his, of course
[2022/01/08 13:45] Sylvia Tamalyn: so if rosie sees one, she can send one of the approved notes and let the other EMs and tor know
[2022/01/08 13:45] Sylvia Tamalyn: done
[2022/01/08 13:45] Tor Karlsvalt: /me jots down the suggestion.
[2022/01/08 13:45] Jerry McNally: /me likes the escalation idea
[2022/01/08 13:45] Almut Brunswick: That sounds very pragmatic. Does it answer your question, Rosie?
[2022/01/08 13:45] Rosie Gray: yes, that would be helpful
[2022/01/08 13:45] Rosie Gray: thank you
[2022/01/08 13:45] Almut Brunswick: Good, let's hope it will work
[2022/01/08 13:46] Rosie Gray: in this particular case though... it's beyond that, but Tor is onto it
[2022/01/08 13:46] Almut Brunswick: Any further citizen concerns?
[2022/01/08 13:46] Almut Brunswick: I hear none
[2022/01/08 13:47] Almut Brunswick: 6. RA Member Concerns
[2022/01/08 13:47] Jerry McNally: I am unconcerned
[2022/01/08 13:47] Cathy Sabre: None here.
[2022/01/08 13:48] Almut Brunswick: I never make kimono jokes about you guys, so be glad :D
[2022/01/08 13:48] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2022/01/08 13:48] Almut Brunswick: thank you
[2022/01/08 13:48] Almut Brunswick: 7. Announcements:
Calendar: https://cdsdemocracy.org/
[2022/01/08 13:48] Almut Brunswick: well, tomorrow is our traditional skating event
[2022/01/08 13:49] Almut Brunswick: So I hope to see you there!
[2022/01/08 13:49] Almut Brunswick: Any further comments and hints?
[2022/01/08 13:49] Tor Karlsvalt: whooHoo
[2022/01/08 13:50] Almut Brunswick: 8. Next RA meeting (Proposal: Saturday, January 21, 2021, 12 PM SLT)
[2022/01/08 13:50] Almut Brunswick: That is today in two weeks.
[2022/01/08 13:50] Jerry McNally: 21 is a Friday
[2022/01/08 13:50] Sylvia Tamalyn: and this is 2022
[2022/01/08 13:50] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2022/01/08 13:50] Almut Brunswick: Ha, and I told you: Look at the typical Almutian errors
[2022/01/08 13:51] Almut Brunswick: (Proposal: Saturday, January 22, 2022, 12 PM SLT)
[2022/01/08 13:51] Tor Karlsvalt: /me looks at the COVID numbers and thinks this years looks a lot like last year.
[2022/01/08 13:51] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): wondered about that
[2022/01/08 13:52] Rosie Gray: I have an RL meeting close to that time unfortunately
[2022/01/08 13:52] Almut Brunswick: how about you RA people?
[2022/01/08 13:52] Rosie Gray: could we be earlier?
[2022/01/08 13:52] Almut Brunswick: yes
[2022/01/08 13:52] Almut Brunswick: 11 AM?
[2022/01/08 13:52] Jerry McNally: fine by me
[2022/01/08 13:52] Cathy Sabre: me too
[2022/01/08 13:52] Rosie Gray: yes 11 or even 10:30 or 10?
[2022/01/08 13:53] Almut Brunswick: 10 AM then?
[2022/01/08 13:53] Kyoko Barzane (samara.barzane): Tor?
[2022/01/08 13:53] Almut Brunswick: still ok?
[2022/01/08 13:53] Almut Brunswick: Tor?
[2022/01/08 13:53] Jerry McNally: that's ok too
[2022/01/08 13:53] Tor Karlsvalt: that is fine
[2022/01/08 13:53] Rosie Gray: 10 am would be great
[2022/01/08 13:53] Tor Karlsvalt: either
[2022/01/08 13:53] Almut Brunswick: ok, then January 22, 10 AM SLT
[2022/01/08 13:54] Almut Brunswick: I see you here young and fresh again. In my case, I can just guarantee "and".
[2022/01/08 13:54] Cathy Sabre: Done.
[2022/01/08 13:55] Almut Brunswick: If this is agreed, I would like to adjourn this meeting.
