[11:11] You: can we start?
[11:11] Lilith Ivory: do I have to touch something?
[11:11] You: The transcript will be published
[11:12] Jon Seattle: I do think that give the current land CDS would be hard pressed to find space for too much flat.
[11:12] You: no
[11:12] You: (answer to Lilith ...)
[11:12] Lilith Ivory: ok :)
[11:12] You: OK. we have only one point at the agenda
[11:12] You: GMP
[11:12] Sudane Erato: is Symo coming?
[11:12] You: and we can add a 2nd point varia at the end
[11:13] You: I don't think that Symo can come
[11:13] You: but he published an interesting post
[11:13] Sudane Erato: yes... although... one could hardly argue with most of it
[11:13] You: http://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2224
[11:14] Jon Seattle: well, I was curious about the first point
[11:14] You: about flat sims?
[11:14] Jon Seattle: ah, the first point was joining CDS to other sim-groups
[11:15] You: yes. The question is: do we have a list?
[11:15] Sudane Erato: well, thats really a political issue, isn't it?
[11:15] You: yes, especially if we merge with other organizations
[11:16] Jon Seattle: well, from a technical pov, what would be the advantages if any? Not talking political advantages, just geographic
[11:16] You: it could be easier to accept a singe sim
[11:16] You: single*
[11:16] You: for that case, we have a law (Private dev)
[11:16] Sudane Erato: i find it hard to think of any benefits techinically
[11:17] You: I don't know if we have candidates
[11:17] Sudane Erato: the burden of "foreign affairs" is significant... and really not great
[11:17] Sudane Erato: and that goes to the tech side as well as the political side
[11:17] Jon Seattle: That was my first reaction also. Though I might be convinced otherwise.
[11:18] Sudane Erato: well... not by me :)
[11:18] Jon Seattle: :)
[11:19] You: the fundamental question is: how should we grow?
[11:19] Jon Seattle: Both of CDS's themes are interesting and good ones, and might be carried a bit further
[11:20] Sudane Erato: yes, Arria, i agree
[11:20] Sudane Erato: and Jon too, i agree
[11:21] Jon Seattle: What has been the experience with LA.. does it feel too isolated? Would it be an advantage to fill in the gaps soon?
[11:21] Sudane Erato: i think LA is a work in progress
[11:21] You: well, it seems that the plots near the gap are not so easy to sell
[11:22] Jon Seattle: ah, interesting. For visual reasons.
[11:22] You: I guess, but it hard to be sure
[11:22] Lilith Ivory: can´t understan why it is like this
[11:22] You: for LA, I think that we should renew our contacts with Roma
[11:23] You: for LA and CN
[11:24] Sudane Erato: well... when this LL madness with the sim policy change is over... I plan to develop a program in the NW corner of LA
[11:24] You: and find some animations related to antiquity
[11:24] Sudane Erato: (damn Linden Lab) :(
[11:25] You: a greek sim?
[11:26] You: you are talking about "sto limani", Sudane?
[11:26] Sudane Erato: yes... sorry...
[11:26] Sudane Erato: just in that area...
[11:26] You: yes, I find it's a great idea
[11:27] Sudane Erato: but hopefully it will contribute to growth and attention
[11:27] You: My opinion is that we have to work in the consolidation of what we have
[11:27] You: and we have to pay some attention to CN
[11:27] You: infortunaltely I cannot get more plots there
[11:28] You: I think that we have to rebuild the center of CN
[11:28] You: or rezz the original houses again
[11:29] Jon Seattle: yes
[11:29] Lilith Ivory: I allways wondered why there is that empty space beyond the houses
[11:29] Jon Seattle: My skills are quite a bit better, and I am glad to help if needed :)
[11:29] You: I am in favour of this solution
[11:30] Sudane Erato: sorry all... I better go... IMs about the impending void sim policies are egtting overwhelming
[11:30] Sudane Erato: forgive me..
[11:31] You: thank for coming
[11:31] You: ok
[11:31] Sudane Erato: bye all... thank you :)
[11:31] Lilith Ivory: bye
[11:31] You: bye bye Sudane
[11:31] You: yes, maybe we should reactivate the WG Colonia Nova or make a new one
[11:32] Lilith Ivory: I don´t have much time, but I´d like to help also
[11:32] Jon Seattle: bye Sudane :)
[11:32] You: I would like too.
[11:33] You: I am ready to change the house I have on my second plot and put the original one
[11:33] You: if someone has a back up
[11:34] You: I don't think that we have to make a long meeting today, as we don't have quorum
[11:35] You: but I invite you to contribute to the discussion in the forums
[11:35] You: for the next meeting, we can propose to make a WG Colonia Nova
[11:36] You: or a WG "roman sims"
[11:37] Lilith Ivory: all the people I talk to would prefer to have land in the Alpine Sims
[11:37] Lilith Ivory: wonder why that is
[11:38] You: yes, but we can hardly transform CN and LA in Alpine sims
[11:38] Lilith Ivory: lol no :)
[11:38] Lilith Ivory: but build a third alpine soon
[11:38] You: I agree that the next sim will be Alpine
[11:38] You: we have made a proposal for AM2
[11:39] You: it was for a void, but we can use the same relief for a normal sim, with the same density than AM
[11:39] You: we have nevertheless to do something for our roman sims
[11:39] Lilith Ivory: right :)
[11:40] You: and the center of CN is one of the kex of the problem
[11:40] You: key*
[11:41] Lilith Ivory: who was that saint that buied MTs land?
[11:41] Lilith Ivory: bought sorry
[11:41] You: CDS I think
[11:41] Lilith Ivory: ah I see
[11:42] You: you should ask Jamie or Sudane for the details
[11:42] You: but now, we have to see what we can do there
[11:43] Lilith Ivory: Is there a way to find out how CN looked like in the beginning?
[11:43] You: yes, I think
[11:44] You: We should either find back up of the houses or at least the textures
[11:44] Lilith Ivory: good - would be helpful when we talk about making it look like it was before
[11:44] Lilith Ivory: who did build them?
[11:44] You: it's a long history
[11:44] You: Moon or Sudane (for the original ones)
[11:44] Lilith Ivory: oh - as long as the one of NFS? hehe
[11:45] You: but the big building (Emporium Romanum and then Toga) was on several plots
[11:45] Jon Seattle: yes, it could be restored a bit
[11:46] You: one of the problem of this part of CN is that few prims are available
[11:46] You: it's not really possible to have a lot of furnitures
[11:47] You: and for shops, it's not easy too
[11:47] Lilith Ivory: I know :)
[11:47] You: but these plots are nice to start a shop
[11:48] You: they could be used in the programm of economic development
[11:48] Lilith Ivory: much better than the shops in NFS
[11:48] You: right
[11:48] Jon Seattle: I think for urban settlements its important to use the prim bonus multipler > 1
[11:49] Lilith Ivory: is it the same like in the new Sims?
[11:49] Lilith Ivory: can we make CN and NFS doubleprimmed also?
[11:50] Jon Seattle: In Sponoza what I did was to concentrate the settlement on the edge of two sims, then use a high prim multipler to give each plot ample prims
[11:50] Jon Seattle: Each plot, even though city lands, has 468 prims
[11:50] Jon Seattle: you can do a lot with that in terms of shops etc
[11:50] You: yes
[11:50] You: maybe we can make some reflections
[11:50] Lilith Ivory: would be great
[11:51] You: people appreciate to have prims
[11:51] Lilith Ivory: lol absolutely
[11:51] You: I must admit that it was not easy when I was only located in CN
[11:51] Jon Seattle: yes, it really makes a difference :)
[11:51] You: I have played with prims between my two plots
[11:52] You: we could also merge some plots
[11:52] Lilith Ivory: what about those temp rezz things? do they make a Sim laggy?
[11:52] Jon Seattle: it sounds odd, but what about retiring some plots?
[11:53] Jon Seattle: Lilith, yes, in my experience they do.
[11:53] You: empty them? and use the prims for other?
[11:53] Jon Seattle: yes
[11:53] Lilith Ivory: ah I see - so useless for us
[11:53] You: we can make the forum bigger
[11:54] Jon Seattle: basically use the open space to both increase the feeling of reality -- secenary etc, and at the same time to make prims easier to come by in the city center
[11:54] You: do you want to attend the Concert in the Church`
[11:54] You: ?
[11:55] Jon Seattle: I should get back to Spinoza -- there is a large festival there today -- human rights :)
[11:55] Jon Seattle: But I hear she is quite good!
[11:56] Lilith Ivory: I planed to go to the concert - if we don´t have importend things to discus here
[11:56] You: we can stop now
