[2021/03/07 08:59] Almut Brunswick: Hello Mizou
[2021/03/07 09:00] Almut Brunswick: Hello gray girl
[2021/03/07 09:00] Mizou Vavoom: Hi Sudane
[2021/03/07 09:00] Almut Brunswick: Hello Sudane
[2021/03/07 09:00] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[2021/03/07 09:00] Sudane Erato: hi all :)
[2021/03/07 09:00] Mizou Vavoom: Waiting for the chairs to appear
[2021/03/07 09:02] Sudane Erato: i should remove my learning aids... they've served their purpose..
[2021/03/07 09:02] Mizou Vavoom: Will we not need them in the future sudane?
[2021/03/07 09:02] Sudane Erato: well... I'll save them... but I suspect not
[2021/03/07 09:03] Mizou Vavoom: OK
[2021/03/07 09:03] Almut Brunswick: Sadly the Google document has not further evolved. I must say that I didn't have the time to work on it as well
[2021/03/07 09:04] Sudane Erato: not enough hours in the day
[2021/03/07 09:05] Almut Brunswick: yes, and this annoying RL work...always distracting :D
[2021/03/07 09:05] Mizou Vavoom: :) true for all of us
[2021/03/07 09:05] Sudane Erato: sure good that daylight savings is coming soon... we can save a few hours
[2021/03/07 09:05] Almut Brunswick: hahaha... weill, not really :D
[2021/03/07 09:05] Mizou Vavoom: Yes daylight saving makes abig difference for me
[2021/03/07 09:05] Mizou Vavoom: Hi Orange Rosie
[2021/03/07 09:05] Almut Brunswick: I don't like it
[2021/03/07 09:05] Rosie Gray: hey all
[2021/03/07 09:06] Sudane Erato: hey :)
[2021/03/07 09:06] Almut Brunswick: Madame Gray for me yet
[2021/03/07 09:06] Rosie Gray: I am a bit formalized for a guild meeting ;)
[2021/03/07 09:06] Sudane Erato: hehe
[2021/03/07 09:06] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[2021/03/07 09:06] Almut Brunswick: but Mizou is meanwhile visible in full Technicolor
[2021/03/07 09:07] Almut Brunswick: I did not change either for the meeting
[2021/03/07 09:08] Rosie Gray: have you been racing, Almut?
[2021/03/07 09:08] Almut Brunswick: Just exploring a riding sim the last time I logged in
[2021/03/07 09:09] Almut Brunswick: and I worked on this outfit afterwards
[2021/03/07 09:09] Rosie Gray: I wonder if anymore guild members will show up
[2021/03/07 09:10] Almut Brunswick: Delia is in th esim, but apparently busy with something different
[2021/03/07 09:10] Rosie Gray: I see
[2021/03/07 09:11] Rosie Gray: I'll make a notice through the group
[2021/03/07 09:12] Rosie Gray: so we don't have many of us here...
[2021/03/07 09:12] Rosie Gray: but shall we start anyway?
[2021/03/07 09:14] Sudane Erato: sure... sorry... IMs :)
[2021/03/07 09:14] Almut Brunswick: I propose to start, yes
[2021/03/07 09:14] Rosie Gray: np :)
[2021/03/07 09:14] Rosie Gray: Mizou and I have a Blender class today too
[2021/03/07 09:15] Rosie Gray: starting at 11:00 am slt
[2021/03/07 09:15] Delia Lake: Hi
[2021/03/07 09:15] Delia Lake: rezzing
[2021/03/07 09:15] Mizou Vavoom: Hi Delia
[2021/03/07 09:15] Sudane Erato: hi! :)
[2021/03/07 09:16] Rosie Gray: hi Delia
[2021/03/07 09:16] Mizou Vavoom: Tor is here too but maybe sailing?
[2021/03/07 09:16] Rosie Gray: so I thought we could discuss the Environments survey since we have quite a few responses
[2021/03/07 09:16] Almut Brunswick: Most likely he is
[2021/03/07 09:16] Rosie Gray: and comments on the forum too
[2021/03/07 09:16] Delia Lake: ok
[2021/03/07 09:16] Sudane Erato: thats so great there is a lot of response!
[2021/03/07 09:16] Mizou Vavoom: /me agrees
[2021/03/07 09:17] Rosie Gray: out of interest in learning about working with them
[2021/03/07 09:17] Rosie Gray: one moment and I'll get the doc so you can see the responses
[2021/03/07 09:18] Almut Brunswick: I'm still wondering if and where we should set up a project team. There seems to be an "informal" cluster of interesting beings now, but it is not really public. Or is it just my impression?
[2021/03/07 09:19] Almut Brunswick: interested...of curse interesting, too :D
[2021/03/07 09:19] Almut Brunswick: course*
[2021/03/07 09:19] Rosie Gray:
[2021/03/07 09:19] Rosie Gray: this is a copy of the responses, as I removed the email addresses
[2021/03/07 09:20] Delia Lake: ty
[2021/03/07 09:20] Sudane Erato: hmmm... all the raw data
[2021/03/07 09:20] Rosie Gray: so there are 25 responses
[2021/03/07 09:20] Sudane Erato: can you summarize for us?
[2021/03/07 09:21] Rosie Gray: https://prnt.sc/10ffiu4
[2021/03/07 09:22] Rosie Gray: here are the charts for the first two questions
[2021/03/07 09:22] Sudane Erato: well, those are heartening
[2021/03/07 09:22] Sudane Erato: most people use the shared settings
[2021/03/07 09:22] Sudane Erato: and
[2021/03/07 09:23] Rosie Gray: https://prnt.sc/10ffjl4
[2021/03/07 09:23] Rosie Gray: 2nd 2 questions
[2021/03/07 09:23] Sudane Erato: almost everyone knows how to set their own env
[2021/03/07 09:23] Rosie Gray: yes... a few who don't
[2021/03/07 09:23] Sudane Erato: most people like sunny days
[2021/03/07 09:24] Rosie Gray: https://prnt.sc/10ffke3
[2021/03/07 09:24] Sudane Erato: and essentially everyone likes distinctive environments
[2021/03/07 09:25] Rosie Gray: that's what they say here! lol
[2021/03/07 09:25] Sudane Erato: people tend to like RL environments
[2021/03/07 09:25] Rosie Gray: https://prnt.sc/10fflft
[2021/03/07 09:26] Sudane Erato: and people tend to set their graphics settings fairly high
[2021/03/07 09:26] Rosie Gray: /me nods
[2021/03/07 09:26] Mizou Vavoom: And is that just our residents?
[2021/03/07 09:26] Rosie Gray: https://prnt.sc/10ffm4l
[2021/03/07 09:27] Rosie Gray: there are a couple of non-residents I think, but the rest are our citizens
[2021/03/07 09:27] Sudane Erato: wow... a lot of people use shadows...
[2021/03/07 09:27] Mizou Vavoom: good to know
[2021/03/07 09:27] Rosie Gray: yeah, I love the shadows myself
[2021/03/07 09:27] Mizou Vavoom: me too!!
[2021/03/07 09:27] Mizou Vavoom: brb sorry
[2021/03/07 09:27] Sudane Erato: i do too... but they REALLY hit performance, so i rarekly turn them on
[2021/03/07 09:27] Almut Brunswick: I think they are enabled by default when you are on Ultra
[2021/03/07 09:28] Rosie Gray: yes, but most people don't use Ultra
[2021/03/07 09:28] Delia Lake: I like the shadows too
[2021/03/07 09:28] Rosie Gray: https://prnt.sc/10ffnf0
[2021/03/07 09:28] Sudane Erato: ha!... no one uses depth of field :)
[2021/03/07 09:28] Rosie Gray: okay that was the last of the percentage charts
[2021/03/07 09:28] Rosie Gray: yeah, lol
[2021/03/07 09:29] Delia Lake: I also like cloud textures. I'm always adjusting clouds for depth and density
[2021/03/07 09:29] Rosie Gray: I've used it for photos
[2021/03/07 09:29] Almut Brunswick: I even didn't know what that is
[2021/03/07 09:29] Sudane Erato: makes sense for photos
[2021/03/07 09:29] Mizou Vavoom: What is the difference with depth of field?
[2021/03/07 09:29] Rosie Gray: it really slows you down though
[2021/03/07 09:29] Sudane Erato: and I have no idea what ambient occulsion is! :)
[2021/03/07 09:29] Rosie Gray: depth of field makes things go blurry the farther away they are from you
[2021/03/07 09:30] Sudane Erato: yes... its a camera thing
[2021/03/07 09:30] Mizou Vavoom: anddoes it take more PC power?
[2021/03/07 09:30] Sudane Erato: human eyes normally don't express depth of field
[2021/03/07 09:30] Mizou Vavoom: ahh i see yes makes sense
[2021/03/07 09:30] Mizou Vavoom: just for pics
[2021/03/07 09:30] Almut Brunswick: Ambient occlusion are these "fake shadows" in corners which are not dependent on the direction of light
[2021/03/07 09:30] Rosie Gray: I note there seems to be some conflicting answers with a few people
[2021/03/07 09:30] Sudane Erato: oh!
[2021/03/07 09:31] Mizou Vavoom: fake shadows??
[2021/03/07 09:31] Delia Lake: I don't use depth field. I tried it once and it made me feel like I needed t go clean my glasses
[2021/03/07 09:31] Brooke Brandenburg: is online.
[2021/03/07 09:31] Sudane Erato: haha... Delia... yes :)
[2021/03/07 09:31] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[2021/03/07 09:31] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2021/03/07 09:31] Rosie Gray: yes, i think it's only useful for photos
[2021/03/07 09:31] Almut Brunswick: also known as "shadow maps" to be applied on objects, but SL viewers emulate this behaviour up to a certan degree, too
[2021/03/07 09:31] Rosie Gray: and a big draw on your computer
[2021/03/07 09:32] Rosie Gray: oh is that what it is, Almut?
[2021/03/07 09:32] Almut Brunswick: I think so, Rosie
[2021/03/07 09:32] Rosie Gray: I never have seen any difference when putting it on
[2021/03/07 09:32] Sudane Erato: well, i just turned it on and see absolutely no diff
[2021/03/07 09:32] Mizou Vavoom: The AO?
[2021/03/07 09:32] Rosie Gray: yeah, same with me Sudane
[2021/03/07 09:32] Sudane Erato: yes
[2021/03/07 09:32] Almut Brunswick: Rosie, you can see a small difference when ou are not wigh high and ultra looking at things
[2021/03/07 09:33] Mizou Vavoom: i have it on but not sure what difference it makes
[2021/03/07 09:33] Sudane Erato: under my chair is just as bright as it was :)
[2021/03/07 09:33] Rosie Gray: what I find curious is the conflicting information from a couple of people
[2021/03/07 09:33] Almut Brunswick: but it is not really convincing when you compare it with Blender
[2021/03/07 09:33] Rosie Gray: for instance, the last person says that he puts his graphics on High, usually, but then in the commens he says
[2021/03/07 09:34] Sudane Erato: Rosie, conflicting info just means that some of these topics are a bit mysterious to people
[2021/03/07 09:34] Rosie Gray: The graphics card of my laptop can't handle more than medium or minimal, or "classic" settings. If I try to make something more/sharper/better, the "slide show" effect hits. Besides I am not online often or long enough to make it worth it going through the trouble of optimizing all possible settings. I am completely satisfied with the oldfashioned environmental settings.
[2021/03/07 09:34] Almut Brunswick: Something I experienced with the new lighting system is the absence of shadows even with ultra light and that scenes are looking much darker than before
[2021/03/07 09:34] Almut Brunswick: and when you just enhance the gamma factor, the scenery is getting "chalky"
[2021/03/07 09:35] Draxtor Despres: is online.
[2021/03/07 09:35] Rosie Gray: so you don't see the difference when you put on full shadows?
[2021/03/07 09:35] Rosie Gray: I see quite a difference
[2021/03/07 09:35] Delia Lake: I have shadows
[2021/03/07 09:35] Sudane Erato: oh my... full shadows makes a huge diff
[2021/03/07 09:35] Almut Brunswick: full shadows is already enabled
[2021/03/07 09:35] Rosie Gray: for instance in this room right now
[2021/03/07 09:36] Rosie Gray: yes, Sudane!
[2021/03/07 09:36] Rosie Gray: I love the light through windows with this
[2021/03/07 09:36] Delia Lake: yes. without shadows scenery looks fake too me
[2021/03/07 09:36] Rosie Gray: and you see things when you are building that you might not otherwise see... little gaps
[2021/03/07 09:37] Rosie Gray: with shadows enabled
[2021/03/07 09:37] Delia Lake: yes
[2021/03/07 09:37] Mizou Vavoom: light thru windows?? i see nothing
[2021/03/07 09:37] Almut Brunswick: Errrmmm, no, I don't see shadows
[2021/03/07 09:37] Rosie Gray: you don't see the shadows of the window frames on the floor right now, with full shadows on?
[2021/03/07 09:37] Sudane Erato: oh... I see the light through the windows when shadows are on
[2021/03/07 09:37] Sudane Erato: yes
[2021/03/07 09:38] Mizou Vavoom: i have shadows on and dont see them
[2021/03/07 09:38] Sudane Erato: its hugely effective... but such a huge hit
[2021/03/07 09:38] Almut Brunswick: This is what I see: https://gyazo.com/6bf5eeb5a93176cbaa6fc9cebe9fcdd2
[2021/03/07 09:38] Mizou Vavoom: here that is
[2021/03/07 09:38] Rosie Gray: that's strange, Almut
[2021/03/07 09:38] Almut Brunswick: It just looks poor
[2021/03/07 09:39] Rosie Gray: https://prnt.sc/10ffvd4
[2021/03/07 09:39] Mizou Vavoom: https://gyazo.com/c92e1c91c42b69d61646d915e32d2e2f
[2021/03/07 09:39] Rosie Gray: here's what I see
[2021/03/07 09:39] Almut Brunswick: and you see my setting opened
[2021/03/07 09:39] Sudane Erato: https://prnt.sc/10ffvh3
[2021/03/07 09:39] Widget Whiteberry: is online.
[2021/03/07 09:39] Mizou Vavoom: gosh weird i dont see that
[2021/03/07 09:39] Sudane Erato: i think you can see the shadows there
[2021/03/07 09:39] Mizou Vavoom: what am i doing wrong?
[2021/03/07 09:39] Rosie Gray: no idea as it looks like you have everything turned on
[2021/03/07 09:40] Mizou Vavoom: yes
[2021/03/07 09:40] Mizou Vavoom: ohh i know where lol
[2021/03/07 09:41] Sudane Erato: shadows on 17 fps shadows off 37 fps
[2021/03/07 09:41] Almut Brunswick: aaah I didn't use Shared Environemt
[2021/03/07 09:41] Sudane Erato: thats the prob
[2021/03/07 09:41] Mizou Vavoom: https://gyazo.com/92cb87047453d5193c53c63c746583c9
[2021/03/07 09:41] Mizou Vavoom: same here
[2021/03/07 09:41] Rosie Gray: ah, there you go!
[2021/03/07 09:41] Almut Brunswick: I thought that is enabled by default, but apparently not
[2021/03/07 09:41] Rosie Gray: see what you miss when you don't use the shared environment!
[2021/03/07 09:41] Mizou Vavoom: i wonder if it changes when we go to a different environment?
[2021/03/07 09:41] Rosie Gray: of course I didn't know that either... interesting
[2021/03/07 09:41] Sudane Erato: no longer... now the env setting persists when you log off
[2021/03/07 09:42] Sudane Erato: or when you go to another place
[2021/03/07 09:42] Mizou Vavoom: that must be it
[2021/03/07 09:42] Sudane Erato: it used to go to shared whenever you crossed a sim line... but no longer
[2021/03/07 09:42] Rosie Gray: you must deliberately turn it on and off I guess
[2021/03/07 09:42] Sudane Erato: yes
[2021/03/07 09:42] Mizou Vavoom: well a bit annoying but at least we know
[2021/03/07 09:42] Sudane Erato: :)
[2021/03/07 09:43] Almut Brunswick: But honestly...the result is still like a grayish day with just some sunbeams
[2021/03/07 09:43] Rosie Gray: so that's a great answer for anyone that DOESN'T like shared environments
[2021/03/07 09:43] Sudane Erato: some folks probably are thrilled :)
[2021/03/07 09:43] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[2021/03/07 09:43] Rosie Gray: no there's lots of shadows I see
[2021/03/07 09:43] Rosie Gray: zoom around with your camera outside
[2021/03/07 09:43] Rosie Gray: look at the landing here for the school that's in the sun
[2021/03/07 09:43] Sudane Erato: yes... shadows all over
[2021/03/07 09:43] Almut Brunswick: outside yes
[2021/03/07 09:44] Delia Lake: yes
[2021/03/07 09:44] Almut Brunswick: but not so much in here
[2021/03/07 09:44] Rosie Gray: lots of shadows
[2021/03/07 09:44] Rosie Gray: you still don't see them from the windows, Almut?
[2021/03/07 09:44] Almut Brunswick: at least some reflection on the floor
[2021/03/07 09:44] Almut Brunswick: Yes, I do now
[2021/03/07 09:45] Sudane Erato: Question
[2021/03/07 09:45] Delia Lake: here we're inside and the light source inside is a hanging candelabra in the center of the ceiling so thre would be less shadow herre
[2021/03/07 09:45] Almut Brunswick: But the chandelier is not lit
[2021/03/07 09:46] Rosie Gray: still, it's inside
[2021/03/07 09:46] Sudane Erato: could we discuss some alternate env policies or strategies?... since it seems fairly clear from the survey and the forums that most people want essentially full time sunny days?
[2021/03/07 09:46] Rosie Gray: and it IS SL, not RL
[2021/03/07 09:46] Almut Brunswick: yes
[2021/03/07 09:46] Delia Lake: so no inside point of light source
[2021/03/07 09:46] Mizou Vavoom: it is light controlled
[2021/03/07 09:46] Rosie Gray: yes, Sudane
[2021/03/07 09:46] Sudane Erato: since this is a Guild meeting... we might have a useful convo
[2021/03/07 09:46] Rosie Gray: and there are comments on the forum too
[2021/03/07 09:46] Sudane Erato: exactly
[2021/03/07 09:47] Almut Brunswick: Sudane, are *we* now that proposed project group for that topic or not? I asked that question earlier already.
[2021/03/07 09:47] Rosie Gray: https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php ... 172#p50172
[2021/03/07 09:47] Sudane Erato: I am totally happy to concede that my preferences are unpopular
[2021/03/07 09:47] Mizou Vavoom: :(
[2021/03/07 09:47] Rosie Gray: the guild is for educational purposes ㋡
[2021/03/07 09:48] Sudane Erato: i thought we might just have a discussion
[2021/03/07 09:48] Rosie Gray: yes!
[2021/03/07 09:48] Sudane Erato: since we are ones perhaps more familiar with envs than most
[2021/03/07 09:48] Sudane Erato: so I'd love to hear other policy ideas
[2021/03/07 09:48] Sudane Erato: ones that might be more popular
[2021/03/07 09:49] Rosie Gray: I've had some thoughts about this
[2021/03/07 09:49] Delia Lake: I thought about Laura's comments. I have not been too Tuscany a lot but when I have been there it was Springtime. there were bright sunny days and partly sunny days soo there was variation. but then as I said earlier I pay attention to clouds
[2021/03/07 09:49] Sudane Erato: ok?
[2021/03/07 09:49] Rosie Gray: since mostly everyone wants sunny days
[2021/03/07 09:49] Sudane Erato: clouds are so problematic in the SL envs :(
[2021/03/07 09:49] Sudane Erato: yes, exactly
[2021/03/07 09:50] Rosie Gray: what about coming up with some various sunny days that vary with the clouds, and even with the sunsets a bit... not too much, but a bit
[2021/03/07 09:50] Rosie Gray: to add some interest
[2021/03/07 09:50] Sudane Erato: that makes sense
[2021/03/07 09:50] Delia Lake: I like varying sunsets
[2021/03/07 09:50] Rosie Gray: and that we could even have it more cloudy in some sims than others, and switch them around
[2021/03/07 09:50] Almut Brunswick: Well, I made the experience not only here that cloudy environment are often so dark like a solar eclipse
[2021/03/07 09:50] Sudane Erato: but how should they be rotated?... how would the sequences go?
[2021/03/07 09:51] Rosie Gray: but that wouldn't change your experience too noticeably when you cross a sim border
[2021/03/07 09:51] Rosie Gray: could be random, Sudane
[2021/03/07 09:51] Rosie Gray: I now it's not very satisfying when you want realism
[2021/03/07 09:51] Sudane Erato: lol... whenever the environment czar was in the mood for a change? :)
[2021/03/07 09:51] Delia Lake: I haven't gotten time to play with cloud layers yet but I will have too do that soon. I'm in the process of building a tropiical river habitat from the Paleocene -- 60 M years ago
[2021/03/07 09:51] Delia Lake: and I have to have good clouds that are low
[2021/03/07 09:51] Rosie Gray: how cool, Delia!
[2021/03/07 09:52] Almut Brunswick: I would prefer a not too dark sky even on overcast days
[2021/03/07 09:52] Delia Lake: it is! I've learned a lot
[2021/03/07 09:52] Rosie Gray: I kind of like kthe moody environment for wandering around
[2021/03/07 09:52] Sudane Erato: Delia, can you share a sky with low clouds?... I'd be interested to see what you do
[2021/03/07 09:52] Rosie Gray: but when I can't see anything to try and do things, it makes it difficult
[2021/03/07 09:52] Delia Lake: me too, Rosie
[2021/03/07 09:53] Almut Brunswick: Exactly, Rosie!
[2021/03/07 09:53] Delia Lake: I will share when I get it done, yes
[2021/03/07 09:53] Sudane Erato: ok :)
[2021/03/07 09:53] Sudane Erato: are you doing a day sequence?... or just a sky?
[2021/03/07 09:53] Delia Lake: just the sky
[2021/03/07 09:53] Sudane Erato: ok
[2021/03/07 09:55] Delia Lake: it's like a walk in diorama. it's focused on the titanoboa, the 45 ft snake that was found fossilized. someone else has built the snake
[2021/03/07 09:55] Delia Lake: what I have started playing with for myself though is moonlit nights here
[2021/03/07 09:56] Rosie Gray: so from the comments and the survey, we know that most people want sunny weather all the time, and might accept 1 day here or there where it's less than bright and sunny
[2021/03/07 09:56] Delia Lake: some said its ok to have cloudy with snow when we are changing from autumn to winter
[2021/03/07 09:56] Sudane Erato: i think that's clear
[2021/03/07 09:56] Almut Brunswick: Yes
[2021/03/07 09:57] Rosie Gray: and the concern... it's quite valid I think, that new people would be more likely to buy land here and stay when it isn't heavily overcast and gray
[2021/03/07 09:57] Sudane Erato: that is very valid
[2021/03/07 09:57] Delia Lake: yes
[2021/03/07 09:57] Rosie Gray: I guess we have learned from this
[2021/03/07 09:57] Sudane Erato: and I shall just have to suffer alone with my freaky feeling of joy in wet weather :)
[2021/03/07 09:58] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2021/03/07 09:58] Rosie Gray: maybe you can just go outside in RL for that joy!
[2021/03/07 09:58] Sudane Erato: haha... it rains less and less!
[2021/03/07 09:58] Rosie Gray: /me nods
[2021/03/07 09:58] Almut Brunswick: Very true
[2021/03/07 09:58] Rosie Gray: so here's another thought
[2021/03/07 09:59] Rosie Gray: for those of us experimenting with making a day sequence
[2021/03/07 09:59] Rosie Gray: that we share them with each other to try out?
[2021/03/07 09:59] Sudane Erato: that's a GREAT idea
[2021/03/07 09:59] Mizou Vavoom: Sudane, if you want rain, Ireland is a goo dplace :)
[2021/03/07 09:59] Sudane Erato: i'd love to experience what others are doing
[2021/03/07 09:59] Sudane Erato: haha... yes :)
[2021/03/07 09:59] Sudane Erato: I'd love to go to Ireland :)
[2021/03/07 10:00] Rosie Gray: :)
[2021/03/07 10:00] Delia Lake: I will make personal rainy days and set it to rain in my pasture
[2021/03/07 10:01] Sudane Erato: can we set up a collections system?
[2021/03/07 10:01] Rosie Gray: I'd love to see what everyone is coming up with too
[2021/03/07 10:01] Rosie Gray: oh that's a good idea
[2021/03/07 10:01] Sudane Erato: kind of a community inventory of days
[2021/03/07 10:01] Delia Lake: I would like that too
[2021/03/07 10:01] Rosie Gray: how about just here, set to guild members?
[2021/03/07 10:01] Delia Lake: ok
[2021/03/07 10:01] Almut Brunswick: "The weather of today comes from..."
[2021/03/07 10:01] Sudane Erato: and then Rosie, or whoever is ENV Czar, can just pull from that
[2021/03/07 10:01] Sudane Erato: yes! :)
[2021/03/07 10:01] Rosie Gray: sure!
[2021/03/07 10:01] Sudane Erato: PUT your name on the day file!
[2021/03/07 10:02] Mizou Vavoom: OK to count me out for the moment? I havent played with the weather as yet
[2021/03/07 10:02] Sudane Erato: and then everyone can see who's env they are experiencing
[2021/03/07 10:02] Rosie Gray: how about we use the bookcase behind us to put them in?
[2021/03/07 10:02] Sudane Erato: Mizou... its ok... whoever wants to add!
[2021/03/07 10:02] Almut Brunswick: Same with me! I'm glad when I get along with the Personal Lighting, and I'm not satisfied so far
[2021/03/07 10:02] Sudane Erato: can you get them out of there?
[2021/03/07 10:03] Rosie Gray: if you set the bookacse to Share we can
[2021/03/07 10:03] Sudane Erato: i just did... let me put something in
[2021/03/07 10:03] Mizou Vavoom: /me is very confused about putting weather in a bookcase :)
[2021/03/07 10:03] Sudane Erato: haha
[2021/03/07 10:04] Sudane Erato: its an SL thing! :))
[2021/03/07 10:04] Almut Brunswick: Mizou, I was about to say that :D
[2021/03/07 10:04] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2021/03/07 10:04] Almut Brunswick: Pretty normal in Hogwarts
[2021/03/07 10:04] Sudane Erato: Rosie, i've put 2 things in. Can you get them?
[2021/03/07 10:04] Rosie Gray: yes
[2021/03/07 10:04] Rosie Gray: and I've put one in
[2021/03/07 10:04] Mizou Vavoom: lol
[2021/03/07 10:05] Sudane Erato: great!!!... and I got yours
[2021/03/07 10:05] Rosie Gray: Almut, can you get them?
[2021/03/07 10:05] Sudane Erato: so this works perfectly
[2021/03/07 10:05] Almut Brunswick: ahem...let me try
[2021/03/07 10:06] Almut Brunswick: no, I cant
[2021/03/07 10:06] Sudane Erato: I'll put a sign on the shelves... "Wetaher Chest" :)
[2021/03/07 10:06] Rosie Gray: hmmm
[2021/03/07 10:06] Sudane Erato: Almut... are you a member of the Guild group?
[2021/03/07 10:06] Sudane Erato: you must be
[2021/03/07 10:06] Sudane Erato: you have the tag
[2021/03/07 10:06] Almut Brunswick: Sudan,e do oyu see the tag over my head?
[2021/03/07 10:06] Rosie Gray: yes she is wearing the tag
[2021/03/07 10:06] Sudane Erato: yes
[2021/03/07 10:07] Sudane Erato: Mizou, can you get stuff out of it?
[2021/03/07 10:07] Almut Brunswick: I took a copy of the complete bookshelf
[2021/03/07 10:07] Delia Lake: where did you put the stuff?
[2021/03/07 10:07] Mizou Vavoom: The one behind me?
[2021/03/07 10:07] Sudane Erato: oh!
[2021/03/07 10:07] Rosie Gray: in the bookcase
[2021/03/07 10:08] Sudane Erato: no... behind me and Almut
[2021/03/07 10:08] Almut Brunswick: but I cannot extract stuff
[2021/03/07 10:08] Rosie Gray: behind Sudane and Almut
[2021/03/07 10:08] Delia Lake: n
[2021/03/07 10:08] Delia Lake: no, nothing
[2021/03/07 10:08] Rosie Gray: hmmm
[2021/03/07 10:08] Mizou Vavoom: yes
[2021/03/07 10:08] Rosie Gray: what about a 'give all' script?
[2021/03/07 10:08] Delia Lake: I can see the stuff in content
[2021/03/07 10:08] Sudane Erato: thats weird... why can Rosie but not you guys
[2021/03/07 10:08] Mizou Vavoom: oh no
[2021/03/07 10:08] Delia Lake: but I can't take it
[2021/03/07 10:08] Almut Brunswick: yes, me too
[2021/03/07 10:09] Rosie Gray: actually... maybe I didn't receive it and only thoguht I did
[2021/03/07 10:09] Almut Brunswick: you can take the entire bookshelf, Delia :D
[2021/03/07 10:09] Mizou Vavoom: nothing
[2021/03/07 10:09] Sudane Erato: listen... can you guys put stuff INTO it??
[2021/03/07 10:09] Mizou Vavoom: couldn't copy to inventory
[2021/03/07 10:09] Sudane Erato: if you can put in... we could use a Giver to hand it out
[2021/03/07 10:10] Rosie Gray: I just added a give script
[2021/03/07 10:10] Sudane Erato: i see
[2021/03/07 10:10] Mizou Vavoom: I go the bookcase itself
[2021/03/07 10:10] Almut Brunswick: yes, that makes more sense, I think
[2021/03/07 10:10] Rosie Gray: oh but it won't let me edit it now
[2021/03/07 10:10] Rosie Gray: lol
[2021/03/07 10:10] Sudane Erato: edit what?
[2021/03/07 10:10] Rosie Gray: the script
[2021/03/07 10:10] Rosie Gray: but it works
[2021/03/07 10:10] Almut Brunswick: the giver script is a bit stupid, because it submits itself as well. But it works this way
[2021/03/07 10:11] Rosie Gray: I jsut received everything from the bookcase into a folder
[2021/03/07 10:11] Almut Brunswick: me too, Rosie
[2021/03/07 10:11] Sudane Erato: yes, so that works... but can you guys put stuff IN?
[2021/03/07 10:12] Mizou Vavoom: ues i can
[2021/03/07 10:12] Delia Lake: yes I got that tooo
[2021/03/07 10:13] Mizou Vavoom: weird!! so when i click on it it changes my personal settings
[2021/03/07 10:13] Sudane Erato: Delia, can you put things into the bookcase?
[2021/03/07 10:13] Rosie Gray: Mizou, that's how you apply them
[2021/03/07 10:13] Sudane Erato: the only things in there are from me and Rosie
[2021/03/07 10:13] Mizou Vavoom: its all very dark each of the settings
[2021/03/07 10:14] Almut Brunswick: I can put things
[2021/03/07 10:14] Rosie Gray: that's Sudane's gray days ;)
[2021/03/07 10:14] Sudane Erato: ahh... ok... something new
[2021/03/07 10:14] Mizou Vavoom: even your one Rosie that says sunny is dark
[2021/03/07 10:14] Rosie Gray: you had to 'save' it though, right Mizou?
[2021/03/07 10:14] Rosie Gray: I mean it doesn't just apply without that
[2021/03/07 10:14] Mizou Vavoom: ahh ok
[2021/03/07 10:15] Mizou Vavoom: i am starting to understand
[2021/03/07 10:15] Rosie Gray: it starts at Midnight
[2021/03/07 10:15] Mizou Vavoom: i see
[2021/03/07 10:15] Sudane Erato: if you are double clicking on the day cycles, yes, they start at midnight
[2021/03/07 10:15] Rosie Gray: so you have to give it a sec to get up to the right time of day
[2021/03/07 10:16] Sudane Erato: they won't go to the "right time" unless you install them on a parcel or sim
[2021/03/07 10:16] Sudane Erato: then there is a duration and an offset
[2021/03/07 10:16] Rosie Gray: don't they do that even for your own personal settings?
[2021/03/07 10:16] Rosie Gray: I thgought they would
[2021/03/07 10:16] Rosie Gray: if you set them as your personal settings they should still cycle
[2021/03/07 10:17] Sudane Erato: only if you are setting the duration and the offset
[2021/03/07 10:17] Sudane Erato: or you're clicking on the movie icon
[2021/03/07 10:17] Sudane Erato: thats my experience
[2021/03/07 10:18] Mizou Vavoom: movie icon?
[2021/03/07 10:18] Sudane Erato: That's in the day cycle editor
[2021/03/07 10:18] Rosie Gray: hmmm
[2021/03/07 10:18] Mizou Vavoom: oh yeah sorry i see it now
[2021/03/07 10:18] Rosie Gray: just put one of your gray days into my personal settings
[2021/03/07 10:18] Delia Lake: sorry I had to go help the dog
[2021/03/07 10:18] Sudane Erato: ok
[2021/03/07 10:18] Rosie Gray: it appears to be the right time of day
[2021/03/07 10:18] Sudane Erato: and I'll have to go shortly
[2021/03/07 10:19] Rosie Gray: I have to go too
[2021/03/07 10:19] Mizou Vavoom: i have to go too, dinner before the class
[2021/03/07 10:19] Delia Lake: I could put something in but I didn't keep it there
[2021/03/07 10:19] Sudane Erato: so long as you can put things in
[2021/03/07 10:19] Mizou Vavoom: I promise to do the minutes and transcript this time
[2021/03/07 10:20] Sudane Erato: hehe
[2021/03/07 10:20] Mizou Vavoom: :)
[2021/03/07 10:20] Rosie Gray: :)
[2021/03/07 10:20] Rosie Gray: well this was informative anyway
[2021/03/07 10:20] Mizou Vavoom: yes very
[2021/03/07 10:20] Sudane Erato: anyway... we now have a neat system... when we develop something to share, stick it in the bookcase
[2021/03/07 10:20] Mizou Vavoom: thanks Sudane
[2021/03/07 10:20] Rosie Gray: I really have to go now
[2021/03/07 10:20] Rosie Gray: yes!
[2021/03/07 10:20] Delia Lake: this is good
[2021/03/07 10:20] Delia Lake: thanks everyoone
[2021/03/07 10:20] Sudane Erato: and be sure your name is in its name
[2021/03/07 10:20] Mizou Vavoom: au revoir mes amis
[2021/03/07 10:20] Rosie Gray: thanks all
