Minutes for the RA Meeting of 27-February-2021

The RA met without publishing the agenda at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Consequently, no binding votes on legislation could be taken.

The RA meet at the Praetorium in Colonia Nova on Saturday, 27 February 2021. In attendance were RA members; Almut Brunswick, LRA Pro Tempore; Rosie Gray, RA LUC Rep; and Tor Karlsvalt, Archivist. Also present were: Chancellor Kyoko Furse-Barzane and citizens Em Warden and Mizou Vavoom.

1. Administrative Business

Almut Brunswick, LRA Pro Tempore called the meeting to order at 10:08.

1.1 Review and approve the agenda

Almut Brunswick proposed an agenda. Rosie Gray offered several amendments to the agenda. The additional topics included review and approval of the minutes for the prior meeting and repeal of the CDSL 21-01 as the text of CDSL 34-01 required.
Amendments to the agenda were added by the LRR Pro Tempore who motioned for adoption of the agenda. Tor Karlsvalt seconded. Motion to adopt he agenda carried unanimously.

Almut Brunswick motioned to approve the minutes for the 13 February 2021 RA meeting. Rosie Gray seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

2. Executive Report

Chancellor Kyoko delivered the Executive Report. The report included information about the Mizou Vavoom’s entry in the RFL Home, Garden and Breedables Expo. The Chancellor noted that CDS marketing was included in the exhibit.
The Chancellor described he Lantern Festival Party where 17 people celebrated the Lunar New Year. Qt was the DJ. The Djembe Dragonfire event for March 6th highlighted. The Chancellor reminded us of the ongoing exhibits at MoCA.

3. Land-Use Commission Report (Rosie)

Rosie Gray reported on the LUC meeting of February 20, 2021. She provided he following minutes: https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=9696 Rosie Gray stated that she is working on a survey regarding EEP and that Delia Lake has an exhibit of SKYE water that might be used for the Friedsee Lake. Some discussion ensued regarding an Environment Working Group focused on EEP.

There were no citizen concerns.

5. RA member concerns

There were no RA member concerns.

6. Old Business

Numbering of CDSL 34-1 LUC Act.

RA members discussed the numbering of CDSL 34-01 and 02 due to the wording of CDSL 34-01. Tor Karlsvalt explained the problems with the numbering and his actions to post the new laws to the portal. Almut Brunswick offered a suggestion to reference CDSL 34-02 as the reason for the revision of NL 5-7 in the footnotes.

Almut Brunswick tabled the issue to the next RA meeting without objection. (Note that the RA could not take a biding vote on this issue as the agenda had not been published at least 24 hours before the meeting.)

7. New Business

Almut Brunswick tabled New Business until the next RA meeting without objection.

After some discussion, Almut Brunswick motioned to set the next meeting of the RA for March 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM SLT. Motion carried unanimously.

Almut Brunswick, LRA Pro Tempore, adjourned the meeting until March 20th without objection.
