Agenda item 6: Privacy

Does the system provide for sufficient privacy/protection of the
parties? To what extent has the public a 'need to know'?[/quote:1cs8k04q]

To me, the answer to this question requires that we first establish whether we consider alts as independent for legal purposes. That is, do want to avoid trial by alt? If so, we need to learn RL information about the parties to rule out alts. We can setupa method to receive this information in confidence and to keep it secret.

On the other hand, if we are not worried about manipulation of the system by alt -- either because we don't think it is a problem or because we develop methods to protect the system and parties from that abuse -- then there is no reason to inquire.

Let's keep things simple enough to be fair, substantive enough to be effective, and insightful enough to be good.

We should record transcripts of the proceedings...

We do need to record transcripts of the proceedings. Unless all parties agree, I see no need to anonymize the avatar names of the parties in question. In special cases, that could be done.
