Post by Lilith Ivory »

[10:23] Rosie Gray: oh you know what, I forgot that I had left those documents up there
[10:24] Sandy Burgess: And I don't really like these meetings on Saturday evenings - disruptive for RL too
[10:24] Lilith Ivory: documents?
[10:24] Lilith Ivory: same here Sandy
[10:24] Rosie Gray: on the to prims over the bookcase at the end of the building
[10:24] Rosie Gray: and I agree about everything having to be on weekends
[10:25] Rosie Gray: for times I don't know... there's not a lot of choices when everyone is awake
[10:25] Lilith Ivory: and some of us still have to work hard ;-)
[10:25] Rosie Gray: Lilith, I guess you have to have Media turned on to see the documents
[10:25] Sandy Burgess: No, that is true
[10:25] Rosie Gray: the draft guild charter
[10:26] Lilith Ivory: well I have them turned on but I don't even see a blank screen
[10:26] Rosie Gray: really? hmmm
[10:26] Sandy Burgess: I did not have the time to read through it again. Did anything major change?
[10:26] Lilith Ivory: ah here! twm blank screens
[10:26] Sandy Burgess: Hello Alumt and Ais
[10:26] Almut Brunswick: Hello everybody
[10:27] Ais Aeon: Hello
[10:27] Lilith Ivory: Hi Ais , welcome :)
[10:27] Rosie Gray: Almut has made some suggestions for it, but I haven't looked yet
[10:27] Ais Aeon: Prolly shouldn't take seats as a non-voter.
[10:27] Rosie Gray: hi Almut ㋡
[10:27] Almut Brunswick: I just added the reference to the new Act
[10:27] Sandy Burgess: But you don't have to stand
[10:27] Ais Aeon: There :D
[10:27] Lilith Ivory: Ais was at our Scientific council meeting and left quite an imprssion :)
[10:27] Sandy Burgess: We just won't count your arm
[10:27] Rosie Gray: hello Ais, no, you are welcome to sit don
[10:27] Rosie Gray: down*
[10:27] Lilith Ivory whispers ...we need to find her an affortable parcel ;-)
[10:28] Ais Aeon: Wanted to see how stuff gets done here
[10:28] Sandy Burgess: Please take a seat Ais!
[10:28] Rosie Gray: well, nice to meet you
[10:28] Rosie Gray: and please, we have plenty of chairs
[10:28] Ais Aeon: I will probably get a parcel at some point. But now is not a great time. :/
[10:28] Rosie Gray: I hope that Sudane and Moon will be joining us
[10:29] Ais Aeon: I've got 1/8 homestead being rented from a land baron for my pleistocene exhibit. Kinda takes mostr of my funds.
[10:29] Lilith Ivory: Ms Gildenmeisterin, perhaps you could explain quickly what the Guild is about
[10:30] Rosie Gray: I'd be happy to
[10:30] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[10:30] Rosie Gray: hi Sudane
[10:30] Lilith Ivory: Hey Sudane :)
[10:30] Sandy Burgess: Hello Sudane
[10:30] Almut Brunswick: Hello Sudane
[10:30] Sudane Erato: hi all :)
[10:30] Rosie Gray: so, for Ais, the CDS Artisan Guild is just going through a change of status
[10:30] Sandy Burgess: Hello Moon
[10:30] Rosie Gray: for the last number of years we have been an NGO here in the CDS
[10:31] Rosie Gray: previous to that, the Guild as a part of the government
[10:31] Rosie Gray: Hi Moon ㋡
[10:31] Moon Adamant: hello all ㋡
[10:31] Rosie Gray: responsible for building the regional infrastructure
[10:31] Ais Aeon: Ah so housing etc?
[10:31] Rosie Gray: just recently we have approved a new Charter for the guild
[10:32] Rosie Gray: yes, housing, roads, infrastructure
[10:32] Rosie Gray: natural elements
[10:33] Rosie Gray: anyway, we just approved a new Charter, but we no need to incorporate our new... renewed status as an official part of the government again
[10:33] Ais Aeon: old-new status? ;)
[10:33] Rosie Gray: Almut, do you think I encapsulated that well enough?
[10:34] Rosie Gray: or anyone else have a comment about it
[10:34] Sandy Burgess: The guilds charter needs to be overhauled ... to reflect the new status of the guild
[10:34] Almut Brunswick: The Charter as it is seems to be fine and can be amended whenever there is a need. However, I would strongly recommend to make reference to the legal frame.
[10:34] Almut Brunswick: Yes
[10:34] Rosie Gray: yes, I agree Almut
[10:34] Rosie Gray: you made suggestions on the document, I think?
[10:34] Almut Brunswick: Therefore, I added this first half sentence to close the chain here.
[10:35] Almut Brunswick: Yes
[10:35] Rosie Gray: we need to look at it now
[10:35] Sandy Burgess: Hello Agatha
[10:35] Almut Brunswick: Hello Agatha
[10:35] Sandy Burgess: Hello Delia
[10:35] Lilith Ivory: I just looked at it and am fine
[10:35] Rosie Gray: everyone, if you have Media turned on you can see the draft charter on the prim hanging at the end of the room
[10:35] Agatha Macbeth: (slips in quietly)
[10:35] Moon Adamant: my, full house ㋡
[10:35] Lilith Ivory: Hi Agatha
[10:36] Rosie Gray: hi Agatha
[10:36] Delia Lake: Hi :)
[10:36] Rosie Gray: hi Delia
[10:36] Moon Adamant: i am getting an issue with media... can i have a link, please?
[10:36] Almut Brunswick: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GgZ ... 31j7ai6yxx
[10:37] Rosie Gray: thanks Almut
[10:37] Moon Adamant: thanks ㋡
[10:37] Almut Brunswick: I made the last sentence a numbered list, but I didn't change the content here.
[10:37] Rosie Gray: hi Tor
[10:38] Tor Karlsvalt: Hi Rosie, hi all
[10:38] Almut Brunswick: Hello Tor
[10:38] Lilith Ivory: HI Tor
[10:38] Rosie Gray: so, guild members, can you all see what Almut has made as suggestions?
[10:38] Sudane Erato: yes... looks good to me
[10:38] Rosie Gray: ready to vote on it?
[10:38] Almut Brunswick: It is just this "chain link"
[10:39] Sudane Erato: Tor, you and Almut
[10:39] Almut Brunswick: Yes
[10:39] Moon Adamant: motion to vote?
[10:39] Rosie Gray: Motion to accept the edits suggested by Almut on the guild Charter, and remove Draft from it
[10:39] Almut Brunswick: Second
[10:39] Moon Adamant: second
[10:40] Rosie Gray: vote
[10:40] Rosie Gray: aye
[10:40] Almut Brunswick: aye
[10:40] Sudane Erato: aye
[10:40] Lilith Ivory: aye
[10:40] Moon Adamant: aye
[10:40] Rosie Gray: motion carried
[10:40] Rosie Gray: thanks!
[10:40] Sudane Erato: yay!
[10:40] Almut Brunswick: That was easy :D
[10:40] Sudane Erato: :)
[10:40] Rosie Gray: yay!
[10:40] Sandy Burgess: aye
[10:40] Rosie Gray: whe
[10:40] Rosie Gray: whew*

[10:41] Rosie Gray: now we had something else to discuss too...
[10:41] Almut Brunswick: Now I could agree with the vote, Rosie :D
[10:41] Sudane Erato: is that all we are here to discuss?
[10:41] Rosie Gray: no there is also the Covenant for Locus Amoenus
[10:41] Sudane Erato: ahh... good
[10:41] Rosie Gray: perhaps Moon can explain?
[10:41] Almut Brunswick: Yes please
[10:41] Moon Adamant: oh
[10:42] Moon Adamant: well, last term it was mentioned by several citizens
[10:42] Moon Adamant: that the LA covenant is not up to date
[10:42] Moon Adamant: I haven't looked at it closely -- as you know i have been preparing a plan for CN, and LA would be next
[10:43] Moon Adamant: but something is immediate
[10:43] Lilith Ivory: so far the covenant states there needs to be a certain amount of trees at each parcel , which does not work in the fishing villages
[10:43] Rosie Gray: right
[10:43] Rosie Gray: and also we didn't have a name for the fishing village
[10:43] Moon Adamant: the brown quarter isn't mentioned in the covenant
[10:43] Rosie Gray: the brown one
[10:44] Moon Adamant: teh covenant establishes a disctinction between areas and their parcels
[10:44] Lilith Ivory: little Sienna ;-)
[10:44] Sudane Erato: 2 fishing villages!
[10:44] Sudane Erato: wow
[10:44] Almut Brunswick: So much fishers here...
[10:44] Tor Karlsvalt: I think I named the "Brown Quarter."
[10:44] Moon Adamant: and it's unclear, atm, where does the brown quarter fit
[10:44] Almut Brunswick: Yes, that fits it very well
[10:44] Rosie Gray: it definitely needs a name!
[10:45] Almut Brunswick: quartiere marrone
[10:45] Almut Brunswick: ^^
[10:45] Ais Aeon: Light Ochre?
[10:45] Tor Karlsvalt: I called it Marina Luna I believe
[10:45] Lilith Ivory: I was thinking we gave it one already
[10:45] Moon Adamant: maybe more incongruencies are in the covenant, and thus i would suggest that an analysis be done
[10:45] Almut Brunswick: No, no, it is really brown :D
[10:45] Rosie Gray: did we, Lilith?
[10:45] Moon Adamant: about the brown, btw
[10:45] Lilith Ivory: Marina Luna?
[10:45] Rosie Gray: seems to me it hasn't really been recognized and now there are a couple names floating around
[10:45] Almut Brunswick: Marina Marrona :D
[10:45] Moon Adamant: I would like it to be less brown lol, and hope to work for it
[10:46] Rosie Gray: less brown ㋡
[10:46] Almut Brunswick: Moon, I'm all with you!
[10:46] Sandy Burgess: Marina Antiqua
[10:46] Moon Adamant: i woudl welcome another name
[10:46] Almut Brunswick: quartieri marci
[10:46] Almut Brunswick: Rotten Quarter :D
[10:46] Rosie Gray: I agree there are likely more possible incongruencies
[10:46] Moon Adamant: To Limani is a name that also goes around, btw and for teh record
[10:46] Rosie Gray: haha, Almut
[10:47] Tor Karlsvalt: viewtopic.php?p=50566&hilit=marina+luna#p50566
[10:47] Sudane Erato: In the old days it was To Limani, which is a Greek name
[10:47] Rosie Gray: thanks Tor
[10:47] Lilith Ivory: your personal dislike for old buildings better not reflects negatively on our Estate Almut ;-)
[10:47] Almut Brunswick: But Greeks like white and colors
[10:47] Rosie Gray: oh I see... haha
[10:47] Sudane Erato: true
[10:47] Lilith Ivory: after all we want to GIN new citizens
[10:47] Lilith Ivory: *gain
[10:47] Almut Brunswick: Lilith, in Italian, everything sounds beautiful
[10:47] Tor Karlsvalt: I think I gave it that name for a land promotion at the time.
[10:48] Lilith Ivory: but there are a lot of italian speakers around in SL
[10:48] Sandy Burgess: We might gin them first and then make them sign the contract while drunk ...
[10:48] Sudane Erato: hehe... as it does in Greek... but sadly not German :)
[10:48] Rosie Gray: well with no signage or recognition anywhere, a name just gets lost
[10:48] Lilith Ivory giggles
[10:48] Almut Brunswick: Tor, did you really use "Brown Quarter" for the promotion?
[10:48] Tor Karlsvalt: no Luna Marina
[10:48] Lilith Ivory: we could name it "hässliches braunes Kaff!
[10:48] Rosie Gray: no he used Luna Marina
[10:48] Rosie Gray: see the link
[10:48] Lilith Ivory: kidding
[10:48] Tor Karlsvalt: The road is named Via Luna I believe
[10:48] Sandy Burgess: Lol Almut
[10:49] Rosie Gray: it's a nice name and there is a wee marina as part of it
[10:49] Moon Adamant: (thanks again! :-))
[10:49] Sandy Burgess: Luna Marre
[10:49] Tor Karlsvalt: I suppose there is on the inner harbor
[10:49] Rosie Gray: yes
[10:49] Sandy Burgess: Luna Mare it should be
[10:49] Ais Aeon: Well, just don't call it "Braunau"
[10:49] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[10:49] Lilith Ivory: errrrmmmmm
[10:49] Rosie Gray: so maybe we should decide once and for all which name to use, and then we can work through the rest of the covenant easily
[10:49] Ais Aeon: Caus ethat might get taken down by LL
[10:50] Tor Karlsvalt: Braunau has certain brevity and memorable quality.
[10:50] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[10:50] Rosie Gray decides not to google a translation
[10:50] Almut Brunswick: hahaha Braunau
[10:50] Lilith Ivory: if we call it Brauau we might get citizens we really don't want to have here
[10:50] Ais Aeon: Its also where Hitler was born... Braunau
[10:50] Almut Brunswick: Braunau am Inn...where Hitler was born
[10:50] Almut Brunswick: OMG
[10:50] Ais Aeon: So yeah... LL doens't like these sorta things
[10:50] Ais Aeon: :D
[10:50] Rosie Gray: oh, jeez
[10:50] Moon Adamant: oh i am agaisnt it
[10:50] Lilith Ivory: (braunau is the place where Hitler was born)
[10:50] Tor Karlsvalt: OMG no!
[10:50] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[10:50] Almut Brunswick: Me too, Moon!!! :D
[10:51] Moon Adamant: absolutely no
[10:51] Rosie Gray: okay whoever said that meant it as a joke ㋡
[10:51] Sandy Burgess: I think we would have a very rapid change of citizens
[10:51] Almut Brunswick: We would get a lot of traffic...but from the wrong people
[10:51] Moon Adamant: yes lol I'd move to CN!
[10:51] Ais Aeon: So who suppoted the Braunau suggestion? Tor! I believe we should vote Tor out for being a closeted Hitler-lover. ;)
[10:52] Rosie Gray bangs the gavel
[10:52] Sandy Burgess: I'd move to Caledon shudders
[10:52] Moon Adamant changes her hat to the Locus Amoenus Dwellers Association
[10:52] Almut Brunswick: giggles
[10:52] Moon Adamant: now really
[10:52] Rosie Gray: so seems like Tor beat you to the name announcement, Moon
[10:53] Almut Brunswick's town Brunswick is named Braunschweig in German... but that village has nothing in common wit it
[10:53] Rosie Gray: should we go ith Luna Marina?
[10:53] Moon Adamant: now really, what's on teh table?
[10:53] Almut Brunswick: Yes, Luna Marina sounds like a rocket launching place
[10:53] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:53] Almut Brunswick: Space Haven
[10:53] Almut Brunswick: Moon Haven
[10:53] Rosie Gray: Luna Marina and, what was your suggestion, Moon?
[10:53] Rosie Gray: Il something
[10:53] Rosie Gray: sorry I can never remember it
[10:54] Moon Adamant: i don't have any... I rather like To Limani
[10:54] Ais Aeon: Hmm... maybe "Braunatal"? Like a pun on Baunatal
[10:54] Rosie Gray: oh that's it
[10:54] Rosie Gray: what does To Limani mean?
[10:54] Moon Adamant: The Port, right?
[10:54] Sudane Erato: it means The Port
[10:54] Rosie Gray: I see
[10:54] Sudane Erato: The Harbor
[10:54] Rosie Gray: a port sounds rather grand
[10:54] Sandy Burgess: Nah - since its the mediteranean part of CDS it shouldn't have a german name
[10:55] Moon Adamant: i agree with Sandy
[10:55] Rosie Gray: no of course it needs an Italian or Greek or North African name
[10:55] Almut Brunswick: Ais, Baunatal is the name of a tank stop along one of our Autobahns
[10:55] Moon Adamant: but you can call it hmmm
[10:55] Almut Brunswick: What about Marina Brunonia?
[10:55] Sandy Burgess: "hmmm" is a strange name, Moon
[10:56] Rosie Gray: hehe
[10:56] Moon Adamant: i am translating lol
[10:56] Sudane Erato: :)
[10:56] Lilith Ivory: anything that has Brown in it in whatever language has a bad smell for me
[10:56] Moon Adamant: Baia is Bay in Italian
[10:56] Rosie Gray: yeah I agree with Lilith
[10:56] Moon Adamant: and in spanish and portuguese, come to that
[10:56] Tor Karlsvalt: We can go wit hTo Limani. But I thought that particular area would have it's own name given the distinctive housing.
[10:56] Sandy Burgess: We should ask Yan, he is Italian
[10:56] Tor Karlsvalt: Not important tho.
[10:56] Lilith Ivory: good idea Sandy
[10:57] Rosie Gray: but he's not online no
[10:57] Lilith Ivory: nothing worse than names that are incorrect
[10:57] Almut Brunswick: Yes, something that does not make Italians laugh :D
[10:57] Moon Adamant: rifugio= haven
[10:57] Sudane Erato: hehe
[10:57] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[10:57] Sudane Erato: The turkey prefers Summer
[10:57] Moon Adamant: we can ask Yan, agreed
[10:57] Moon Adamant: eheheh translate that
[10:57] Rosie Gray: okay sounds good to me ㋡
[10:58] Rosie Gray: you'll ask him for suggestions on our behalf, Sandy?
[10:58] Moon Adamant: summer=estate
[10:58] Sudane Erato: ahhhh
[10:58] Moon Adamant: (curious this one)
[10:58] Almut Brunswick: It doesn't look Portuguese enough to give it a Portuguese name?
[10:58] Moon Adamant: nope, it's too brown
[10:58] Almut Brunswick: Yes!
[10:58] Rosie Gray: lol
[10:58] Sandy Burgess: Already doing so but he is not online atm
[10:58] Moon Adamant: i must say that i am lanning to contaminate it witha Liitle Lisbon in teh fullness of time ㋡
[10:59] Sudane Erato: but you said you are going to lighten it?
[10:59] Moon Adamant: i hope so!
[10:59] Tor Karlsvalt: Harbor towns are melting pots in history.
[10:59] Almut Brunswick hands over Moon two buckets with white colors
[10:59] Rosie Gray: so let's just not name it something brown
[10:59] Moon Adamant: no, not brown
[11:00] Rosie Gray: does someone want to volunteer to go through the LA covenant for editing?
[11:00] Almut Brunswick: Melting pot... The Big Potato...? Ermm, no, too brownish.
[11:00] Moon Adamant: but we could name it relating to summer
[11:00] Rosie Gray: let's give it a romantic name
[11:00] Lilith Ivory: I can have a look at it
[11:00] Rosie Gray: that people would think they should come and have a look
[11:00] Rosie Gray: thanks Lilith!
[11:00] Almut Brunswick: The color of romantic is blue, not brown :D
[11:01] Sudane Erato: exactly Almut
[11:01] Rosie Gray: anyone else want to go through the covenant with Lilith?
[11:01] Tor Karlsvalt: Blue=back to Greek
[11:01] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[11:01] Sudane Erato: :)
[11:01] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[11:01] Almut Brunswick: Yes, white with blue
[11:01] Delia Lake: something that includes water and beach
[11:01] Rosie Gray: I think it would be a complete transformation to make it go from the brown village to a Greek seaside village
[11:01] Lilith Ivory: we could just put it on a google doc with edit rights for guild members
[11:02] Rosie Gray: yes, good idea Lilith
[11:02] Rosie Gray: let me find it... maybe it already is
[11:02] Tor Karlsvalt: Greek island villages are very pretty.
[11:02] Moon Adamant: well, there is an intermediate step from brown quarter to Santorini
[11:03] Rosie Gray: okay I found the covenant draft from 2014
[11:03] Almut Brunswick: Ah good
[11:03] Tor Karlsvalt: probably written my Fern.
[11:03] Lilith Ivory: shouldn't it be in the portal?
[11:04] Second Life: Rosie Gray gave you Locus Amoenus specific covenant.
[11:04] Rosie Gray: yes it is on the portal
[11:04] Lilith Ivory: good
[11:04] Lilith Ivory: I guess we should use the one from the portal as it should not be a draft
[11:04] Rosie Gray: you're right
[11:05] Rosie Gray: https://cdsdemocracy.org/cds-themes/locus-amoenus/
[11:05] Rosie Gray: Jerry has buried the covenants somewhat
[11:05] Lilith Ivory: I am not an expert with google docs but I think I could just copy it from there to a google doc
[11:06] Rosie Gray: I can do it
[11:06] Lilith Ivory: thank you :)
[11:06] Lilith Ivory: imo the covenants should be easy to find for all citizens
[11:07] Ais Aeon: I think the ones on the website are easy to find
[11:07] Ais Aeon: At least they were for me
[11:07] Lilith Ivory: good :)
[11:07] Sudane Erato: oh good
[11:08] Rosie Gray: was it, Ais? good
[11:08] Rosie Gray: personally I think they should be on a first level for the menu
[11:08] Rosie Gray: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZE_ ... sp=sharing
[11:09] Rosie Gray: that's the 2015 Covenant
[11:09] Ais Aeon: I do think the point about the trees is ambiguous.
[11:09] Moon Adamant: i think the site's still in flow
[11:10] Lilith Ivory: we should have special requirements for our diferent zones
[11:10] Rosie Gray: just adding a few of you
[11:10] Ais Aeon: "There must be a minimum of 3 trees per 1024m2 of plot area." - I mean... what counts as a tree? A 0.3m tall sapling? A 0.5 round thuya bush?
[11:10] Moon Adamant: a spiral topiary art thing? ㋡
[11:10] Rosie Gray: we tend to not go into the minutiae that way ㋡
[11:10] Moon Adamant: i also find this
[11:10] Almut Brunswick: a telegraph pole
[11:10] Moon Adamant: covenant lists 3 zones
[11:11] Moon Adamant: we don't know their bounds
[11:11] Lilith Ivory: I was just thinking about drawing a map to show the different zones
[11:11] Moon Adamant: ah, i can help you there, just a sec
[11:12] Tor Karlsvalt: you know, you might want to review the general covenant as well. I see that is stipulates rights to sell your parcel is revoked if it is in arrears. We abolished the right to sell land.
[11:12] Tor Karlsvalt: maybe that is a website error.
[11:12] Rosie Gray: good point, Tor
[11:12] Lilith Ivory: did we?
[11:12] Rosie Gray: yes you cannot directly sell your land
[11:12] Tor Karlsvalt: We did. Estate controls do not alow it
[11:13] Tor Karlsvalt: allow*
[11:13] Sudane Erato: you abandon to Rudeen
[11:13] Lilith Ivory: interesting - where is this written down?
[11:13] Rosie Gray: unless you get an Estate Manager to do it
[11:13] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe, we need to ask the librarian
[11:13] Rosie Gray: I don't thinnk it was meant to prevent any selling directly
[11:13] Lilith Ivory: lol, being an EM I of course never noticed
[11:13] Moon Adamant: ok, for your information, this is the sim analysis Sudane and I have been doing. Sim is LA
[11:13] Moon Adamant:
[11:14] Rosie Gray: what it was intended to do was to ensure that a new person purchasing understood that they would become a citizen and etc.
[11:14] Rosie Gray: so that the sale wasn't misrepresented
[11:14] Rosie Gray: that's how I recall it
[11:14] Lilith Ivory: thank you Moon that IS helpful
[11:14] Moon Adamant: (ignore the colours, they're solely for organizing info)
[11:15] Rosie Gray: yes, so our bron village is there in yellow and red
[11:15] Rosie Gray: brown*
[11:15] Almut Brunswick: hahahahaha
[11:15] Tor Karlsvalt: cool
[11:15] Moon Adamant: yes
[11:15] Rosie Gray: lol, Almut :D
[11:15] Moon Adamant: the two colours mark a different trend in sales
[11:15] Moon Adamant: or history, i should say
[11:16] Almut Brunswick: "No, that village is not brown. You must differentiate: Actually, it is red and yellow...and a bit of green, too..."
[11:17] Rosie Gray: it's actually a pretty little village when occupied
[11:17] Moon Adamant: it is!
[11:17] Rosie Gray: there are a couple of buildings though that could really use some nice big windows and splashes of colour
[11:17] Moon Adamant lives there and LOVES it
[11:18] Almut Brunswick: ... looks into the corner and smiles...
[11:18] Moon Adamant: they sure can
[11:18] Sudane Erato: Rosie, i agree
[11:18] Rosie Gray: and the beautiful beach just across the way
[11:18] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[11:18] Almut Brunswick: Well, when people like to live there, then it is enough legitimation.
[11:18] Moon Adamant: eheheh... on-the-Oiki ㋡
[11:19] Sudane Erato: The whole village was built in just one weekend... and could definitely evolve to something nicer
[11:19] Moon Adamant: the Oikoumeni already has a nickname ㋡
[11:19] Fearless Temptation (danifightgirl) is offline.
[11:19] Almut Brunswick: Kiez?
[11:19] Sandy Burgess: Oh - what is it Moon?
[11:19] Rosie Gray: yes, Sudane you did a truly amazing work with that
[11:19] Moon Adamant: Oiki ㋡
[11:19] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[11:19] Sudane Erato: Oiki - EE-KEE
[11:19] Sudane Erato: hehe
[11:19] Moon Adamant: so it's The Quarter-on-the-Oiki ㋡
[11:19] Rosie Gray: what's the Oiki?
[11:20] Tor Karlsvalt: the sea
[11:20] Moon Adamant: the Oikoumeni Sea ㋡
[11:20] Ais Aeon: Hmm... not like I can script much. But if you want buildings, I can do those.
[11:20] Almut Brunswick: Oikomene means just living together
[11:20] Rosie Gray: aah
[11:20] Sudane Erato: the connecting sims
[11:20] Rosie Gray: yes, the water sims... of course
[11:20] Rosie Gray: lol
[11:20] Tor Karlsvalt: Fitting as it connect our three estates
[11:20] Moon Adamant: 'the world that is known'
[11:20] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[11:20] Sudane Erato: Almut, that's kind of true... it means the known, or civilzed world
[11:21] Ais Aeon: Oikoumene - that's like "our world". In the same sense that "Midgard" or "Mare Nostrum" are 'our'
[11:21] Sudane Erato: "living together"
[11:21] Rosie Gray: so shall we make a next meeting to have a look at the covenant suggestions?
[11:21] Moon Adamant: exactly Ais
[11:21] Almut Brunswick: Yes
[11:21] Lilith Ivory: good idea
[11:21] Sandy Burgess agrees with rosei
[11:21] Rosie Gray: oh I like that thought, Ais
[11:21] Moon Adamant: should we define what needs to be looked at?
[11:21] Sandy Burgess ... and with Rosie
[11:21] Moon Adamant: sort of mention for teh record
[11:21] Rosie Gray: I think the whole covenant gets gone through
[11:22] Almut Brunswick: Yes, Moon, you may add some comments to point on things
[11:22] Rosie Gray: both the LA covenant, and the General Covenant
[11:22] Tor Karlsvalt: yes, especially if we plan on changes.
[11:22] Sudane Erato: maybe someone can just do a redraft, and we can look it over and tweak
[11:22] Moon Adamant: we definitely need to spatialize the names of teh areas
[11:22] Rosie Gray: yes, Lilith volunteered
[11:22] Sudane Erato: :)
[11:22] Tor Karlsvalt slinks into the cushion
[11:22] Rosie Gray: and Moon I think
[11:23] Moon Adamant: oh?
[11:23] Rosie Gray: hahah
[11:23] Lilith Ivory: hehe
[11:23] Moon Adamant: o.O
[11:23] Almut Brunswick: slinks?
[11:23] Rosie Gray: lol, sorry
[11:23] Lilith Ivory: should I work with the 2015 google doc?
[11:23] Rosie Gray: my mistake
[11:23] Sandy Burgess puts on a full body alpha texture ...
[11:23] Rosie Gray: yes I would, Lilith
[11:23] Lilith Ivory: ok
[11:23] Rosie Gray: then we can make comments on your suggestions
[11:23] Tor Karlsvalt: Stealthily hides
[11:23] Lilith Ivory: hehe ok
[11:23] Rosie Gray pokes Tor
[11:24] Rosie Gray: if we use the google docs this way, it really makes it efficient for a group of people
[11:24] Almut Brunswick: Right
[11:24] Lilith Ivory: I totally agree
[11:24] Moon Adamant: i can make some comment, but I think Lil recalls better the previous situation to what this covenant refers
[11:24] Almut Brunswick: We refurbished the whole Constitution this way :D
[11:25] Rosie Gray: yes, I think it's best when one person does the initial edits/suggestions
[11:25] Sudane Erato: yes
[11:25] Sudane Erato: much easier!
[11:25] Rosie Gray: so for a next meeting?
[11:25] Rosie Gray pulls up her calendar
[11:26] Moon Adamant: oh, can I ask an agenda point fo rnext meeting?
[11:26] Sudane Erato: this is always a good time for me
[11:26] Moon Adamant: or the one after
[11:26] Moon Adamant: yes, time is good
[11:26] Rosie Gray: oh, and we also need to vote on who would like to be the Recording Secretary ㋡
[11:26] Lilith Ivory: I adapt to Sudane :)

[11:37] Rosie Gray: oh... for anyone who has tried out the Firestorm Preview for PBR viewer
[11:37] Moon Adamant: i haven't yet
[11:37] Sudane Erato is offline.
[11:37] Rosie Gray: I just wanted to point out this mirror I made there
[11:37] Tor Karlsvalt: no haven't
[11:37] Delia Lake: no. I've thought about it but not done it. have you, Rosie?
[11:37] Moon Adamant: oh, do show
[11:38] Rosie Gray: which I put here, but you can't see it as a mirror unless you are using that viewer
[11:38] Sandy Burgess: I was on the test channel to have a look but that has been a while
[11:38] Rosie Gray: it's the round shiny thing above and behind Ais
[11:38] Moon Adamant: ah, but does it work in our sims already?
[11:38] Tor Karlsvalt: Do you get a reflection?
[11:38] Rosie Gray: no it doesn't, Moon
[11:38] Rosie Gray: yes you do, Tor
[11:38] Rosie Gray: it's really cool
[11:38] Tor Karlsvalt: wow
[11:38] Moon Adamant: i heard it was restricted to a few sims still
[11:39] Rosie Gray: it is, they said you can't make things to sell or give away or anything
[11:39] Tor Karlsvalt: That might be cool for a night club with mirrored walls
[11:39] Agatha Macbeth wondered what that was
[11:39] Rosie Gray: but I parked this here anyway ;)
[11:39] Sandy Burgess: They have started rolling it out but I can't see it :(
[11:39] Sandy Burgess: Need to look for the other viewer
[11:39] Moon Adamant: i need to go get it
[11:39] Moon Adamant: and then redo all my objects, i suppose ㋡
[11:39] Rosie Gray: I only tried it twice
[11:39] Agatha Macbeth: I see it
[11:39] Delia Lake: me too. you've peaked my interest
[11:39] Rosie Gray: I do not think we need to redo all of our objects
[11:39] Tor Karlsvalt: it just looks like a white ball to me now
[11:39] Rosie Gray: but things like mirrors ill be possible!
[11:40] Ais Aeon: I think I'm gonna stick to my current viewer. My Pc is slow as it is.
[11:40] Moon Adamant: i suppose sthey may need adjustments
[11:40] Rosie Gray: yes, you can't see it Tor unless you use the preview viewer
[11:40] Rosie Gray: which is Beta
[11:40] Delia Lake: this is the sl viewer not firestorm, yes?
[11:40] Rosie Gray: it's Firestorm's version
[11:40] Agatha Macbeth is puzzled
[11:40] Moon Adamant: aaah it's rather new, then
[11:40] Delia Lake: oh! i didn't know that was now available
[11:40] Delia Lake: looking now
[11:40] Rosie Gray: Firestorm has a BETA version
[11:40] Ais Aeon: Ther's gonan be new reflections, new gloss and shiny effects.
[11:40] Lilith Ivory: hehe, Tor depends on his RLV so noLL viewer for him ;_)
[11:41] Tor Karlsvalt: I might try later today
[11:41] Tor Karlsvalt: oh yeah
[11:41] Rosie Gray: I tried it long enough to figure out how to make a mirror :D
[11:41] Tor Karlsvalt: you need RLV for using my compass
[11:41] Lilith Ivory grins
[11:41] Rosie Gray: huh?
[11:41] Lilith Ivory: thats what they say
[11:41] Tor Karlsvalt there is this collar Lilith gave me too, but keep that with my socks
[11:42] Moon Adamant: hmmm i can't find it on the firestorm site
[11:42] Ais Aeon: Mirrors and better metal shine are two things I'd look forward to. But not at the cost of losing even more FPS.
[11:42] Moon Adamant: you are right Ais
[11:42] Rosie Gray: yes, hopefully not
[11:42] Moon Adamant: i go around without ALS most of the time because of fps
[11:42] Sandy Burgess: https://www.firestormviewer.org/see-the ... pbr-alpha/
[11:42] Ais Aeon: That's just my preference. I realize people with better PCs will enjoy it a lot.
[11:42] Delia Lake: I don't see it on the site either
[11:42] Delia Lake: thanks
[11:43] Moon Adamant: thanks Sandy ㋡
[11:43] Rosie Gray: I always have it on
[11:43] Tor Karlsvalt: good tips
[11:43] Lilith Ivory: I have a thing for mirrors since I saw a ballroom 2007 which had everything mirrored underground to create tis illusion
[11:43] Ais Aeon: I do teh same. Go without ALS... unles I'm taking pictures or it is a sim wiothout many people on it
[11:43] Rosie Gray: it makes a huge different in what the world looks like
[11:43] Rosie Gray: I remember that Lilith
[11:43] Rosie Gray: it was really great
[11:43] Tor Karlsvalt: That will be fun to see
[11:43] Lilith Ivory: YES!
[11:43] Moon Adamant: hmm I may have an issue because of my opensim
[11:44] Moon Adamant: i see they haven't released OS version
[11:44] Rosie Gray: We should officially end this meeting
[11:44] Sandy Burgess: It is really great what things look like with pbr
[11:44] Lilith Ivory: right
[11:44] Rosie Gray: Meeting adjourned
