[2023/11/04 10:08] Almut Brunswick: Dear Mr. Chancellor, dear fellow RA members, welcome to our seventh RA meeting of the 39th term.
[2023/11/04 10:08] Rosie Gray: can't say I noticed but I'll go back and look again
[2023/11/04 10:08] Tor Karlsvalt: AI is taking over!
[2023/11/04 10:08] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2023/11/04 10:08] Almut Brunswick: Hereby, I call this meeting to order.
[2023/11/04 10:08] Tor Karlsvalt: /me shuts up
[2023/11/04 10:08] Almut Brunswick: "We do not have artificial intelligence in our company. We even don't have natural one..."
[2023/11/04 10:08] Tor Karlsvalt: /me runs for tea
[2023/11/04 10:08] Rosie Gray: lol
[2023/11/04 10:08] Tor Karlsvalt: lol
[2023/11/04 10:09] Jerry McNally: haha
[2023/11/04 10:09] Rosie Gray: I have one thing to add to the Agenda, please
[2023/11/04 10:09] Almut Brunswick: Yes please
[2023/11/04 10:09] Almut Brunswick: New business?
[2023/11/04 10:09] Rosie Gray: ummm
[2023/11/04 10:09] Rosie Gray: let me say first and then decide where
[2023/11/04 10:09] Almut Brunswick: good
[2023/11/04 10:10] Rosie Gray: To table all other previous items, until the next meeting.
[2023/11/04 10:10] Rosie Gray: just so they don't get lost
[2023/11/04 10:10] Almut Brunswick: That would mean that you ask for tabling the meeting entirely
[2023/11/04 10:11] Jerry McNally: (In which case I wouldn't need help with the minutes at least)
[2023/11/04 10:11] Almut Brunswick: hehe yes
[2023/11/04 10:11] Rosie Gray: put it just after Announcements
[2023/11/04 10:12] Rosie Gray: but, if nobody thinks we need it, I withdraw
[2023/11/04 10:12] Almut Brunswick: But I'm personally shocked that you are using AI, because you use to write so perfect minutes by yourself
[2023/11/04 10:13] Jerry McNally: Curiosity Almut, but Im not sure I follow Rosie's suggestion - that we go to item 5 then close?
[2023/11/04 10:13] Rosie Gray: yes isn't that interesting, Almut
[2023/11/04 10:13] Jerry McNally: Is that right Rosie?
[2023/11/04 10:13] Tor Karlsvalt: back
[2023/11/04 10:13] Almut Brunswick: What about Tor's report?
[2023/11/04 10:14] Almut Brunswick: Wb
[2023/11/04 10:14] Rosie Gray: oh no, I meant it to go just before Adjournment
[2023/11/04 10:14] Tor Karlsvalt: sure
[2023/11/04 10:14] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[2023/11/04 10:14] Tor Karlsvalt: Oktoberfest events when off well
[2023/11/04 10:14] Almut Brunswick: I would have a point, maybe in RA Member Concerns: When and who will hold the next Q&A meeting, if at all before Xmas?
[2023/11/04 10:15] Jerry McNally: Hang fire a minute Tor, still sorting out the agenda
[2023/11/04 10:15] Tor Karlsvalt: ok, I gathered something was up.
[2023/11/04 10:15] Almut Brunswick: But anyway... I suggest holding the meeting now and make it quick.
[2023/11/04 10:16] Jerry McNally: yes I agree with Almut
[2023/11/04 10:16] Rosie Gray: okay, then I agree too
[2023/11/04 10:16] Almut Brunswick: 1.1 Approval of the Agenda
[2023/11/04 10:17] Jerry McNally: in that case, I move to accept the agenda as presented in the notecard
[2023/11/04 10:17] Rosie Gray: second
[2023/11/04 10:17] Almut Brunswick: (I will post it after the meeting in the Forum, too)
[2023/11/04 10:17] Almut Brunswick: Let's vote then
[2023/11/04 10:17] Rosie Gray: aye
[2023/11/04 10:17] Jerry McNally: aye
[2023/11/04 10:17] Almut Brunswick: aye
[2023/11/04 10:17] Almut Brunswick: 1.2 Review and Approval of the Minutes of the Fifth RA Meeting on October 14, 2023

[2023/11/04 10:18] Almut Brunswick: Reading right now... I must say the AI is way more verbose than real Jerry.
[2023/11/04 10:18] Jerry McNally: Hi Calli
[2023/11/04 10:18] Callipygian Christensen: /me looks confused
[2023/11/04 10:18] Rosie Gray: actually, seeing it again, I do recall thinking that the last Minutes were more verbose
[2023/11/04 10:19] Rosie Gray: hello Calli
[2023/11/04 10:19] Callipygian Christensen: Nothing was posted , agenda or anything, so ..?
[2023/11/04 10:19] Jerry McNally: i love how much it got, just from the transcript
[2023/11/04 10:19] Jerry McNally: but anyway, a one-off I think
[2023/11/04 10:19] Rosie Gray: that would make them so much faster!
[2023/11/04 10:19] Almut Brunswick: That is correct, Calli. I simply forgot it. We made, however, an impromptu agenda today. Nothing has to be decided today in legal things, so I assume it is ok.
[2023/11/04 10:20] Jerry McNally: absolutely right Rosie!
[2023/11/04 10:20] Almut Brunswick: The agenda is in the cube.
[2023/11/04 10:21] Callipygian Christensen: As long as you onl have discussion - the issue of notice is the citizens not being aware of what occurs at meetings - I dont even see an inworld announcement
[2023/11/04 10:21] Almut Brunswick: I propose to accept the minutes as presented.
[2023/11/04 10:21] Rosie Gray: second that
[2023/11/04 10:21] Jerry McNally: (phew)
[2023/11/04 10:21] Almut Brunswick: Yes, you are right. We have a very short agenda today anyway.
[2023/11/04 10:21] Almut Brunswick: Let's vote.
[2023/11/04 10:21] Rosie Gray: aye
[2023/11/04 10:22] Jerry McNally: aye
[2023/11/04 10:22] Almut Brunswick: Aye
[2023/11/04 10:22] Almut Brunswick: 2 Executive Report (Tor)
[2023/11/04 10:22] Almut Brunswick: Mr. Chancellor, you have the stage.
[2023/11/04 10:23] Tor Karlsvalt: sorry
[2023/11/04 10:23] Tor Karlsvalt: Thank you Madam LRA
[2023/11/04 10:24] Tor Karlsvalt: Oktoberfest whet off well.
We had our party on the Platz preceded by a parade through the sims. It was well attended
We had a Triple Artist Event with Joe, Grace Loudon, and Noam Falta. Very well attended. Had 50 people.
Tier box actually took in almost L$4800.00
We had a supper Flotilla to highlight the Oikoumeni Sea and our connection between Amiais and Etopia. This turned out very well. Had at least 10 boats. Party was super. All well attended.
[2023/11/04 10:24] Tor Karlsvalt: I'll pause a sec to catch up
[2023/11/04 10:25] Tor Karlsvalt: We also had a wonderful Anzere Ball, as it the Oktoberfest Ball has come to be known.
[2023/11/04 10:25] Tor Karlsvalt: Thanks to all who atteneded and participated in decorations. Brooke, Rosie, Callipygian
[2023/11/04 10:26] Tor Karlsvalt: Moon, Kyoko, the list can go on.
[2023/11/04 10:26] Tor Karlsvalt: I hope to do more events with Etopia.
[2023/11/04 10:26] Tor Karlsvalt: They seem very interested in joint events.
[2023/11/04 10:26] Tor Karlsvalt: Also, Sandy made a super stamp for the Flotilla Event
[2023/11/04 10:27] Tor Karlsvalt: Financially we are doing well.
[2023/11/04 10:27] Almut Brunswick: Yes, I have seen it! :D
[2023/11/04 10:27] Tor Karlsvalt: For several weeks we have been over 100% tier.
[2023/11/04 10:27] Rosie Gray: that's excellent
[2023/11/04 10:27] Tor Karlsvalt: Close but nudging the break even.
[2023/11/04 10:28] Tor Karlsvalt: Today it seems we have 75 citizens.
[2023/11/04 10:28] Tor Karlsvalt: I have to thank Lilith and Moon and for the fun Halloween party.
[2023/11/04 10:28] Tor Karlsvalt: I am probably leaving something out.
[2023/11/04 10:29] Tor Karlsvalt: Things seem to have gone well this term,
[2023/11/04 10:29] Rosie Gray: lots of parties!
[2023/11/04 10:29] Tor Karlsvalt: I should say that the concept of multiple artists at events was very popular.
[2023/11/04 10:29] Tor Karlsvalt: Parties are good.
[2023/11/04 10:30] Rosie Gray: it's been a really nice variety too, I think Tor
[2023/11/04 10:30] Tor Karlsvalt: And of course we have Bea on Tuesday nights. Not well attended usually, but the CDS tip jar always covers the cost
[2023/11/04 10:30] Tor Karlsvalt: thanks Rosie.
[2023/11/04 10:30] Tor Karlsvalt: oh finally
[2023/11/04 10:31] Almut Brunswick: Regarding the Tuesday nights, I suggested to try organizing it to Euro-friendly times as well.
[2023/11/04 10:31] Tor Karlsvalt: I would like to point out that Rosie and I have placed a Remembrance Day memorial on my land next to the Mexana.
[2023/11/04 10:31] Tor Karlsvalt: I see if we can arrange something with Bea.
[2023/11/04 10:31] Tor Karlsvalt: oh!
[2023/11/04 10:31] Tor Karlsvalt: one more thing
[2023/11/04 10:32] Tor Karlsvalt: Joa has been having his Point to Hearing seminars on the 1st Thursday of the month.
[2023/11/04 10:32] Tor Karlsvalt: This week it was very well attended.
[2023/11/04 10:32] Almut Brunswick: What is this event about?
[2023/11/04 10:32] Tor Karlsvalt: Bea is partly educational I think, and Joa's event together sort of hold up our end of the Eduverse. hehe
[2023/11/04 10:33] Tor Karlsvalt: He does a musicology presentation.
[2023/11/04 10:33] Tor Karlsvalt: This week's topic was the relationship between music and philosophy.
[2023/11/04 10:33] Jerry McNally: Here's a link to a recent one https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=10437
[2023/11/04 10:33] Almut Brunswick: Thank you.
[2023/11/04 10:33] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe, High-brow wtuff.
[2023/11/04 10:34] Tor Karlsvalt: That is all I have
[2023/11/04 10:34] Tor Karlsvalt: thank you for your attention.
[2023/11/04 10:34] Jerry McNally: plenty going on!
[2023/11/04 10:34] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2023/11/04 10:34] Almut Brunswick: Thank you, Tor. Any questions?
[2023/11/04 10:34] Rosie Gray: not from me
[2023/11/04 10:34] Jerry McNally: none from me, other than a wish for more of the same I guess
[2023/11/04 10:34] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[2023/11/04 10:35] Rosie Gray: great work, Tor and everyone :D
[2023/11/04 10:35] Jerry McNally: these things must take a great deal of organising
[2023/11/04 10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: Some
[2023/11/04 10:35] Tor Karlsvalt: the Flotilla was a lot
[2023/11/04 10:36] Almut Brunswick: Yes, absolutely! The only thing I would recommend is to keep an eye on balanced scheduling of events to cover at least Euro- and American-friendly times.
[2023/11/04 10:36] Tor Karlsvalt: So was the event with three artits
[2023/11/04 10:36] Tor Karlsvalt: artists*
[2023/11/04 10:36] Jerry McNally: I enjoyed watching the boats, I hope that gets repeated some time
[2023/11/04 10:36] Rosie Gray: what specifically do you mean by Euro friendly times, Almut?
[2023/11/04 10:36] Rosie Gray: I'd love to see the flotilla event again
[2023/11/04 10:37] Rosie Gray: I will practice for it
[2023/11/04 10:37] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2023/11/04 10:37] Rosie Gray: lol
[2023/11/04 10:37] Almut Brunswick: Well, 6 PM SLT is NOT an Euro-friendly time. Then I use to lie in my bed and sleep (it is 3 AM then).
[2023/11/04 10:37] Tor Karlsvalt: I was thinking we could do kayaks too.
[2023/11/04 10:37] Rosie Gray: that's not a west-coast Canadian friendly time either
[2023/11/04 10:37] Jerry McNally: I'll stick to the shore and take pictures I think
[2023/11/04 10:38] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[2023/11/04 10:38] Rosie Gray: not a hankering to be a sailor at all, Jerry?
[2023/11/04 10:38] Tor Karlsvalt: /me loves Jerry's pics
[2023/11/04 10:38] Rosie Gray: yes I love your pics too
[2023/11/04 10:38] Jerry McNally: /me is too much of a landlubber to get his suit wet
[2023/11/04 10:38] Tor Karlsvalt: btw, check out flicker
[2023/11/04 10:38] Almut Brunswick: I'm not a sailor either, but this seems to be the sort of event to connect to Etopia and other adjacent regions.
[2023/11/04 10:38] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2023/11/04 10:39] Rosie Gray: yes, and a fun new way to experience our regions
[2023/11/04 10:39] Almut Brunswick: Landlubber... I've learned a new word today :D
[2023/11/04 10:39] Rosie Gray: :D
[2023/11/04 10:39] Tor Karlsvalt: The sail next to our mountain is pretty dramatic
[2023/11/04 10:39] Tor Karlsvalt: Rosie built a super waterfall
[2023/11/04 10:40] Rosie Gray: oh no I didn't
[2023/11/04 10:40] Almut Brunswick: So to say the paperback issue of Kap Hoorn? :D
[2023/11/04 10:40] Rosie Gray: that's Sudane's super waterfall!
[2023/11/04 10:40] Tor Karlsvalt: oh ok
[2023/11/04 10:40] Tor Karlsvalt: ooops
[2023/11/04 10:40] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2023/11/04 10:40] Tor Karlsvalt: Well you really get a nice view from a boat.
[2023/11/04 10:40] Rosie Gray: but I did all the shoreline otherwise
[2023/11/04 10:40] Tor Karlsvalt: All looks super
[2023/11/04 10:40] Rosie Gray: thanks!
[2023/11/04 10:41] Almut Brunswick: Shall we continue to 3 Citizen Concerns?
[2023/11/04 10:41] Rosie Gray: please
[2023/11/04 10:42] Almut Brunswick: Ok, despite the fact that I completely forget to do all that meeting preparation in due time this time, are there any other concerns?
[2023/11/04 10:42] Almut Brunswick: forgot*
[2023/11/04 10:42] Rosie Gray: not to worry, Almut, you have been doing a fantastic job of the Agendas and managing the meetings. So thank you for that.
[2023/11/04 10:43] Almut Brunswick: Thank you.
[2023/11/04 10:43] Tor Karlsvalt: ÅǷǷɭÅƲﻜЄ❢
[2023/11/04 10:43] Rosie Gray: ㋡
[2023/11/04 10:43] Almut Brunswick: My RL is currently a bit too busy, and it hope it will calm down a bit again.
[2023/11/04 10:44] Almut Brunswick: Then 4 RA Member Concerns:
[2023/11/04 10:44] Tor Karlsvalt: :) maybe for the holiday season.
[2023/11/04 10:44] Almut Brunswick: Yes, that is my hope either
[2023/11/04 10:44] Rosie Gray: umm... concerns, concerns... hmm
[2023/11/04 10:44] Rosie Gray: oh yes I ihave one
[2023/11/04 10:44] Almut Brunswick: I have one, too. You first please.
[2023/11/04 10:45] Rosie Gray: I'm concerned that there is a house set to full bright, in Monastery.
[2023/11/04 10:45] Jerry McNally: /me is concerned that he doesn't have any concerns
[2023/11/04 10:45] Rosie Gray: down by the lake
[2023/11/04 10:45] Tor Karlsvalt: I'll check on it.
[2023/11/04 10:45] Rosie Gray: Jerry, can't you think of any concern?!
[2023/11/04 10:45] Rosie Gray: thanks Tor
[2023/11/04 10:46] Tor Karlsvalt: /me should walk around more
[2023/11/04 10:46] Almut Brunswick: Oh my, surely a Russian spy lives there and hides nuclear substances for an assassination there :D
[2023/11/04 10:46] Rosie Gray: haha
[2023/11/04 10:46] Tor Karlsvalt: oh! I was griefed. I suppose that is a concern
[2023/11/04 10:46] Rosie Gray: you were?!
[2023/11/04 10:46] Tor Karlsvalt: yes and by a Russian
[2023/11/04 10:46] Almut Brunswick: Ah yes, you told me. How went it out?
[2023/11/04 10:46] Rosie Gray: oh right
[2023/11/04 10:47] Rosie Gray: /me starts remembering the old days when there were griefers everywhere
[2023/11/04 10:47] Tor Karlsvalt: Well problem was addressed, AV banned, official notecard sent to the AV and coppied the Callipygian
[2023/11/04 10:47] Almut Brunswick: Remember: Russian griefers killed Trotzky in his Mexican exile, too!
[2023/11/04 10:47] Tor Karlsvalt: LOL
[2023/11/04 10:47] Tor Karlsvalt: yes
[2023/11/04 10:48] Tor Karlsvalt: And someone on the streets of London.
[2023/11/04 10:48] Almut Brunswick: Nods
[2023/11/04 10:49] Almut Brunswick: Well, my concern is more of general nature and is about the lack of interest on our political life. We have a lot of citizens, great events and parties, many guests, but it seems that we cannot attract more people for government and also creative participation.
[2023/11/04 10:50] Tor Karlsvalt: /me nods
[2023/11/04 10:50] Rosie Gray: it's true :(
[2023/11/04 10:50] Jerry McNally: the more peaceful a place, the less political they feel
[2023/11/04 10:50] Rosie Gray: perhaps most people have enough of it in RL
[2023/11/04 10:50] Almut Brunswick: I don't know exactly how to make it more attractive to take responsibility for the CDS, because this is in fact our "brand core".
[2023/11/04 10:50] Rosie Gray: ain't that the truth, Jerry
[2023/11/04 10:51] Rosie Gray: agreed, Almut
[2023/11/04 10:51] Tor Karlsvalt: /me thinks he is too focused on RL politics and needs to walk more.
[2023/11/04 10:51] Rosie Gray: we don't even get many people just to come to a meeting once in awhile
[2023/11/04 10:51] Rosie Gray: even the ones that do quite a lot of other stuff
[2023/11/04 10:51] Tor Karlsvalt: I used to come to meetings for the entertainment. hehe
[2023/11/04 10:51] Tor Karlsvalt: It was interesting.
[2023/11/04 10:52] Rosie Gray: it is interesting
[2023/11/04 10:52] Rosie Gray: but would bbe better if more people participated
[2023/11/04 10:52] Jerry McNally: maybe we should move the meetings around the place, like the Q&A thing
[2023/11/04 10:52] Jerry McNally: maybe tie them to events and so on?
[2023/11/04 10:52] Tor Karlsvalt: I can try to host the Q&A hour but make it a sort of civics lesson.
[2023/11/04 10:53] Rosie Gray: tied to an event would be an idea
[2023/11/04 10:53] Almut Brunswick: The conditions are currently not even bad. It is just like people get a plot of land here, enjoy themselves and don't care about the community around.
[2023/11/04 10:53] Rosie Gray: oh I like that idea, Tor
[2023/11/04 10:53] Tor Karlsvalt: lol, yes
[2023/11/04 10:53] Tor Karlsvalt: have a DJ.
[2023/11/04 10:53] Rosie Gray: I agree with you, Almut
[2023/11/04 10:53] Almut Brunswick: Q&A ...when?
[2023/11/04 10:53] Tor Karlsvalt: :) I'll get back to you on that.
[2023/11/04 10:54] Almut Brunswick: Not that it would cause wonders, but it is at least a means to become more visible maybe.
[2023/11/04 10:54] Tor Karlsvalt: It might be fun to do it as a DJ event with posters and notecards available about our government
[2023/11/04 10:54] Rosie Gray: yes
[2023/11/04 10:54] Rosie Gray: I'm not sure about a DJ
[2023/11/04 10:54] Tor Karlsvalt: hehe
[2023/11/04 10:55] Rosie Gray: seems like the wrong vibe for an RA meeting
[2023/11/04 10:55] Tor Karlsvalt: Well not an RA meeting.
[2023/11/04 10:55] Rosie Gray: can I make a suggestion?
[2023/11/04 10:55] Almut Brunswick: Well, Bill Clinton used to play saxophone... maybe something like that? :D
[2023/11/04 10:55] Almut Brunswick: Yes, Rosie, let's hear
[2023/11/04 10:55] Rosie Gray: what about right before a performer, like someone who does electronic improvisation?
[2023/11/04 10:55] Tor Karlsvalt: It might be nice to highlight what some of us do in SL.
[2023/11/04 10:56] Rosie Gray: or a pianist or soloist of some kind
[2023/11/04 10:56] Tor Karlsvalt: Right, have like a pre-game social for the season ticket holderss.
[2023/11/04 10:56] Tor Karlsvalt: lol
[2023/11/04 10:56] Tor Karlsvalt: Meet the players.
[2023/11/04 10:56] Rosie Gray: yes, but more organic than a DJ
[2023/11/04 10:56] Jerry McNally: like it, Tor!
[2023/11/04 10:56] Almut Brunswick: "The CDS justice, demonstrated by somebody who does electric improvision...sit down on this chair please and feel the vibes..." :D
[2023/11/04 10:57] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2023/11/04 10:57] Tor Karlsvalt: Sure
[2023/11/04 10:57] Tor Karlsvalt: We have an event for the 18th
[2023/11/04 10:57] Almut Brunswick: What about the collaboration with VWEC? They often have such kind of events
[2023/11/04 10:58] Tor Karlsvalt: A Goth Party.
[2023/11/04 10:58] Rosie Gray: oh how fun!
[2023/11/04 10:58] Tor Karlsvalt: /me can't stop Moon.

[2023/11/04 10:58] Rosie Gray: I like the idea ㋡
[2023/11/04 10:59] Almut Brunswick: We can talk about it next meeting maybe.
[2023/11/04 10:59] Rosie Gray: /me nods
[2023/11/04 10:59] Jerry McNally: Good idea
[2023/11/04 10:59] Tor Karlsvalt: Good, cuz I have to go shopping for some spiked hair and black fingernails.
[2023/11/04 10:59] Rosie Gray: haha
[2023/11/04 10:59] Almut Brunswick: Ok, and let's think about scheduling the next Q&A till then.
[2023/11/04 11:00] Almut Brunswick: Shall we continue to the next topic?
[2023/11/04 11:00] Almut Brunswick: 5 Announcements
* Calendar: https://cdsdemocracy.org/
[2023/11/04 11:01] Almut Brunswick: Tor has already talked about a couple of events to come.
[2023/11/04 11:01] Rosie Gray: seems we kind of morphed into Announcements anyway
[2023/11/04 11:01] Almut Brunswick: Anything from Kyoko in respect on MoCA?
[2023/11/04 11:01] Almut Brunswick: Yes, very organic today :D
[2023/11/04 11:02] Almut Brunswick: I haven't seen Kyoko for a while.
[2023/11/04 11:03] Rosie Gray: /me agrees
[2023/11/04 11:04] Almut Brunswick: One last point to announcements: Do not miss to come to the Artisan Guild meeting next Saturday.
[2023/11/04 11:04] Rosie Gray: right, thanks Almut
[2023/11/04 11:04] Almut Brunswick: I'll go through the draft of the revised Charter and will add the reference to our new act.
[2023/11/04 11:05] Rosie Gray: Saturday, Nov 11 at 10:30 slt
[2023/11/04 11:05] Almut Brunswick: 6 Next RA meeting (to be discussed)
* Proposal: Saturday, November 18, 2023, 10 AM SLT
[2023/11/04 11:05] Almut Brunswick: This is today in a fortnight.
[2023/11/04 11:06] Rosie Gray: that's the day of the Goth party
[2023/11/04 11:06] Almut Brunswick: Oh
[2023/11/04 11:06] Almut Brunswick: hmm, the week after?
[2023/11/04 11:06] Rosie Gray: I can't
[2023/11/04 11:06] Almut Brunswick: November 25
[2023/11/04 11:06] Jerry McNally: let me just check
[2023/11/04 11:07] Rosie Gray: I can't nNov 25
[2023/11/04 11:07] Almut Brunswick: Nov 26?
[2023/11/04 11:07] Almut Brunswick: or Nov 19?
[2023/11/04 11:07] Jerry McNally: both ok with me
[2023/11/04 11:08] Callipygian Christensen: Just a reminder that the new RA takes its seats on Dec 1st. Nov 25 is very late for a meeting in the term
[2023/11/04 11:08] Almut Brunswick: Not my favorite, as you know, but better than not finding any date
[2023/11/04 11:08] Rosie Gray: I'm not sure right now as I have 2 tentative things
[2023/11/04 11:08] Almut Brunswick: Yes, Calli is right
[2023/11/04 11:08] Almut Brunswick: So Nov 19 then as last meeting in this term?
[2023/11/04 11:08] Rosie Gray: we can try ㋡
[2023/11/04 11:09] Jerry McNally: good for me, let's hope for Sandy too, if she's better
[2023/11/04 11:09] Almut Brunswick: Yes, Jerry, that was my thought as well.
[2023/11/04 11:10] Almut Brunswick: So let's nail it down for the last meeting in this term. When does the election period starts? Not far from now, right?
[2023/11/04 11:10] Jerry McNally: here's the link with the dates https://forums.slcds.info/viewtopic.php?t=10447
[2023/11/04 11:10] Almut Brunswick: Thank you!
[2023/11/04 11:11] Almut Brunswick: ooops
[2023/11/04 11:11] Callipygian Christensen: the polls open next Saturday
[2023/11/04 11:11] Rosie Gray: wouldn't it be nice to actually require the polls
[2023/11/04 11:11] Almut Brunswick: high time to send Calli our applications!
[2023/11/04 11:12] Rosie Gray: /me nods
[2023/11/04 11:12] Almut Brunswick: I count on you again, and we should inform/remind Sandy to consider running for office again.
[2023/11/04 11:12] Tor Karlsvalt: :)
[2023/11/04 11:12] Jerry McNally: she's alread sent her card in Almut
[2023/11/04 11:12] Jerry McNally: as have I
[2023/11/04 11:12] Rosie Gray: Sandy already has
[2023/11/04 11:12] Callipygian Christensen: Sandy and Jerry both \ declared some days ago
[2023/11/04 11:13] Rosie Gray: yes, it's you and I that haven't yet, Almut
[2023/11/04 11:13] Rosie Gray: and then hopefully we get someone else
[2023/11/04 11:13] Almut Brunswick: NOW I have! Calli just got my declaration
[2023/11/04 11:13] Rosie Gray: pressures on, I guess
[2023/11/04 11:13] Almut Brunswick: So that meeting was at least good for that ^^
[2023/11/04 11:14] Rosie Gray: kand now mine
[2023/11/04 11:14] Almut Brunswick: Calli, did you get our NCs?
[2023/11/04 11:14] Jerry McNally: maybe we should send around that notice Sandy wrote last time, asking for people to contribute
[2023/11/04 11:15] Almut Brunswick: Yes, please do
[2023/11/04 11:15] Jerry McNally: it was really well written I thought
[2023/11/04 11:15] Almut Brunswick: By SI (Sandy's Intelligence), not AI
[2023/11/04 11:16] Callipygian Christensen: /me waves her hand
[2023/11/04 11:16] Almut Brunswick: Calli please
[2023/11/04 11:16] Rosie Gray: hi Delia, nice to see you!
[2023/11/04 11:17] Almut Brunswick: Hello Delia!
[2023/11/04 11:17] Delia Lake: Hi everyone :)
[2023/11/04 11:18] Callipygian Christensen: so that gives us five candidates..the five currently on the RA, some of you for many terms. So please still try to encourage others to stand - it would be nice to have elections , we havent for quite some time
[2023/11/04 11:18] Rosie Gray: yes, I think we all agree on that
[2023/11/04 11:18] Callipygian Christensen: If people arent encouraged and see 'oh, they are standing again' they might not think to put their names in
[2023/11/04 11:18] Almut Brunswick: Yes, we had this topic already: to activate others to participate
[2023/11/04 11:19] Callipygian Christensen: Well this is a very specific activate sine they have to decalre by the end of Monday
[2023/11/04 11:21] Almut Brunswick: Maybe it makes it easier for new people to volunteer as Tor's executives in organizing something, and then to "get the taste" of being involved in the government.
[2023/11/04 11:21] Almut Brunswick: Maybe just a naive hope of me.
[2023/11/04 11:21] Rosie Gray: that would be nice too, Almut
[2023/11/04 11:23] Almut Brunswick: I've started to get the taste by being sent to the bygone LUC. That was a not too big task to start from. On the other hand, being an RA member is not rocket science as well.
[2023/11/04 11:24] Rosie Gray: hehe
[2023/11/04 11:24] Almut Brunswick: Anyway, when there aren't any other points to discuss, I would like to adjourn this meeting. Thank you for being here, and have a nice weekend!
[2023/11/04 11:25] Tor Karlsvalt: Well I enjoy the help.
[2023/11/04 11:25] Rosie Gray: thank you everybody ㋡
