I'm making a note of it here, not because there is any special good or bad news (we ran a slight deficit, which is normal, but our cash balance increased slightly, probably due to an improved L$ rate), but because I've added some new content... and updated the cover page.
Added are two documents. One is the running chart of the community's cash balance since we started in 2005 (we had no cash in 2004). I introduced this a few weeks ago, so I thought I'd include this in the monthly report so you can watch progress. As noted, it went up slightly. The second addition is simply the worksheet I use each month to collect Rudeen's transaction data in order to assemble the report. I felt it might just be good practice to include it.
I have toyed with the idea of including as well the actual transaction list provided by LL of the L$ transactions. I might figure out a way to do that in future months. The benefit would be that it provides a verifiable balance report of the "other half" of the community's money... the L$s. The report already, and has always, included the LL statement of US$ transactions. But the downside is that this report would include every payment made to Rudeen, with names and amounts, and some people might find that a problem on privacy grounds. So I invite comments on that thought.
