Scope of Powers Commission
As written in the CDS Constitution, the Chancellor serves as the executive of CDS, working to coordinate and plan community projects, this RA Commission is charged to:
(1a) review the duties assigned to the Chancellor by the Constitution and subsequent laws; (1b) recommend clarifications and modifications to both existing laws and language in the Constitution so that the designated authorities, responsibilities and accountability are consistent with and support the assigned duties of the Chancellor; (1c) review pending legislation, including the Proposed Tier Collection and Land Reclamation Bill for compliance with the Constitution and existing law, and (1d) recommend amendments and/or legislation that will bring existing legislation into compliance with the Constitution specified Chancellor duties;
(2a) review existing documentation regarding balance of power among the three branches of government, (2b) assure that authority matches responsibility, and (2c) recommend legislative if needed.
