the Land Sale and Tier Act - use of Chancellors veto

Post by Ceasar Xigalia »

Sept 11th 2014 RA meeting included a vote to make Trebor's proposal into Law - the Land Sale and Tier Act.

Veto
I am now using the Chancellors power under the constitution to veto this law.

Reason
I personally believe this law is bad for CDS because it is too rigid as a law. It raises our tier rates when we are posting a surplus right now, it introduces a more stringent requirement for occupancy to break even (the current recommendation is 80% occupancy to break even, this law would make it 75%) which Sudane pointed out in the forums greatly reduces the type of sim design one can do.

We are prospering, in the black, posting a surplus and part of that is due to the attractiveness of our sims. I would point out that we have had our break even point at around 80% for all the sims for the past 10 years and we are thriving.
