Re: Lots of changes from LL

I pay monthly, so that's going to affect me -$3/month more. As they say "$3 here and $3 there and soon you're talking real money". I'm already spending more than I can use so I'm going to watch my budget over the next few months and see how it shakes out in practical terms. The cutbacks to "basic" a...

Re: Small techie issue regarding the forums

I normally check for new posts using the "unread" URL from my browser's history. I saw gwyn's address pop up once like 3 or 4 weeks ago and figured she was doing maintanence. I haven't seen it since. I'm guessing the address in my history is the "https" version. I read over Gwyn's blog -good for her...

Re: A gentle reminder ...

Please note, I'm sure there are other possible movies to draw inspiration from -that one was just the first to come to mind.

Someone who's more into films than i am probably would have more (better?) suggestions :)

A gentle reminder ...

SL16B is coming up, the deadline for exhibitor applications is May 15th. I just, just found out myself -it seems like LL is taking back the event? The announcements and all are back on the Linden blogs, and the previous slbcommunity blog is out of date. Anyways, that's neither here nor there. What's...

An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind -and makes for horrible policy, besides.

Re: What is "Commercial" for Zoning Purposes?

I think that appropriate and plausible work, but am not sure how you legislate something so subjective. Welcome to the CDS (forum) 8) I think the big, big thing to look at would be impact -although we don't have much of a problem with that. You can have a club on a residential parcel that draws in ...

Re: What is "Commercial" for Zoning Purposes?

I agree with Kyoko, Sudane and Sylvia -this sounds like a measure that is going to have more negative consequences than positive effects. I don't understand what the exact, the specific problem is that this is intended to solve. Do we have rotating red FOR SALE signs up in Alpine Meadows? Has someon...

Re: Environmental Enhancement Project

One of the problems that the CDS has is that it imposes a lot of rules and constraints on its' citizens that residents of other estates (and even mainland!) do not have. That makes us prettier, but it also makes us a harder sell, as well. We shouldn't add to that unnecessarily. I can see and I agree...

Re: little personal crisis

I have been struggling with anxiety/agorophobia and depression for decades now -you have my well wishes. I hope you are able to find good treatment and a way to manage the problems you're going through. There's always a place for you here, and right now taking care of your self is priority number on...

Re: Google+ content

There's almost nothing on our G+ page, is there? I don't think it's much of a problem.

As far as I know, this doesn't affect google sheets or google drive which are things we do use extensively.
